I did not find this game boring in the least. It is entertaining with just the right amount of challenge, at least for me. At first I was skeptical and feared repeat of many past games but there were HOs that were different from most I've played before. Mini games were not hard but not easy either. The bonus game was satisfying in length which is something that in several games lately has been short.
I can't say enough good about this game. Try it before you buy but it was a buy for me.
I recommend this game!

Based on completed game.
This is a ho hum game. I'm not sad that I bought it, but I'm not glad about it either. It is a time waster that is mediocre at best and turns really ridiculous at the end. The bonus game doesn't add anything to it either.
As usual, you go through the game finding items and keys to be used in different locations. There are no standout mini games in my mind except the infuriating driving ones in the bonus game. There are the usual lock pick games, beat up the villain game and slider puzzles. Beating up the villain in the bonus game was not easy however. Beating up the ghost was much easier.
But did you know ghosts bleed? Oh yes. That's where you begin to suspect this ghost, skeleton, undead bride may not be either one of those things but someone impersonating her, or it. And to cap it off, hallucinogenic tea is involved too.
The HOs are standard lists. Nothing challenging.
There are achievements to earn and collectible roses to find and the usual CE bling.
Except for the buy one, get one, I probably would have waited for the SE on this one. Try the demo tho. You may be more impressed.
I recommend this game!
Snow, Ice and the deadly wind blowing from the Frozen Mountains! The Lost Lands have been overtaken by ice in the middle of summer!

I have all the Lost Lands games and they are all excellent games. Cudos to the developer for continuing the excellence in this game. It is a long game and one can get bogged down in the back and forth which is why I love the maps. With them you can see which locations are active and seamlessly move from place to place in an instant. The maps also show whether morphing or collectible objects have been found in a location so if you forgot to look for these you can go back to find them. I found this very helpful since I forget about those sometimes.
The graphics are good, not great perhaps but good. I can't say about the music because I turned that down. HOs are the silhouette style and interactive. You must find one thing and use it to progress to the next thing. Sometimes these were not all that easy. The minigames were varied. Not always easy. This is where my one complaint about this game comes in. For some reason, the hints found for certain minigames did not appear which left me to figure it out. Something which was impossible on a couple of them or you had to refer to the strategy guide which may or may not have the hint. Neither was it in the journal. I found this especially frustrating in the minigrame opening the crypt. Perhaps this was a glitch in my game but it happened more than once. I do not like to use hints or skips. Nevertheless, its still a five star game IMHO.
I too am a sucker for CE games because I love finding all the extra items. This game had a morphing objects, manuscripts and collectibles to find.
As always, download the demo to see if its your cup of tea. I really liked it.

This game is a very pleasant departure from the usual evil entity trying to take over the world. In this case, the previous owner of the house wants an heir to oversee and love the house as he did therefore he leaves a will which has consequences for those who find it. And there is that strange camera.
The HOs in the game were varied but the minigames were a bit of a disappointment. Not very challenging. There are collectibles, morphing objects and jigsaw puzzles to put together.
I enjoyed this game and think it is one of the better ones to come along in awhile. Download the demo and see what you think.

Yes, the story line in this game is the same old trite one about an evil entity looking for a body to inhabit and rule the world. We have been there done that ad nauseam but this game does have some good points. I'm not going to comment further on the story as others have reviewed that.
The HOs are varied. There is the option to play the minigames on casual or hard which I like. I prefer casual.mode rather than stressing over hard games.
Graphics were good although a little grainy at times, the music was entertaining and the VOs were done very well.

Overall, in spite of the story line, I enjoyed playing this game. A different story could have made it a 5 star game.

I do not know what happened to Mad Head on this game but it was not up to par. I found the game play tedious and the story line boring. Save another relative - again. Haven't we done this already? Nothing much logical about the game play either. How is it possible to sneak up on a guard quietly enough to place a fire stick in his pocket and light it? And, didn't those two prisoners get tired of holding down the levers while the heroine ran back and forth? Why do amulets have to be charged after each use? And at some point they always break.
This game was predictable and boring. Not usual Mad Head excellence. I could not wait to finish the game. I don't understand the glowing reviews of other players. I could have done laundry instead.
I don't recommend this game.

The premise behind the story may be cliche but the game is not. Yes, there is a woman to save and dark memories to heal but the path through the game to achieve that is not so mundane. I see from the reviews that some were not impressed with this game but for me this is one of the most enjoyable games from Big Fish in quite awhile.
Other reviewers have commented on game play and story line so I won't do that. I just want to complement the developers on a good game that gave me hours of fun. Try it for yourself. You don't have to buy it but at least give yourself the pleasure of playing the demo. I think you'll want it for your collection if you do.

If that happened, we might get the story in this sinister Sable Maze game. Sometimes people wonder why games get such high ratings, on this one, I wondered why there were low ratings. But everyone likes a different kind of tea perhaps. I won't go into a breakdown of the game as others have already done that just suffice it to say the game is entertaining and a fun romp. I missed some puzzle pieces because I became so engrossed in the game. The VOs were excellent except perhaps for that fake southern accent of the villian. Mini games were not too hard. The bonus game was of satisfying length. The demo ran out on me because I was so caught up in game play and I had to have it. Try it. You might find that you must add it to your collection also.
I recommend this game!

This is the most enjoyable game featured on Big Fish in a very long time! After a season of mediocre, dull and boring games, finally one has arrived that is top shelf! More please Eipix!
There may be some inconsistent things about the game, such as leaving the poor guy passed out on the floor for a time, but the plot and game play far outweigh any of that. No game is perfect. This one comes close however. Plus, there are no cutesy animal partners!!
Others have reviewed the music, art, story line, game play, etc. and I'm not going to do that again since they have done it so well. My review is simply to state that if you want to be absorbed in a good dose of refreshing game play, then play this game because it is totally entertaining!
I recommend this game!

This game is fun to play, which is good if the level of challenge is "OK" and the level of challenge is just "ok". The graphics are immersive and HO's well drawn and interactive. Ambient sounds add flavoring to this island mystery and voice acting is good but limited which is great for me.
The storyline is a little different, at least there are no car wrecks, ghosts or lost children. Just lost archeologists who are not really lost at all and ancient gods and creatures. Say what you want about the tentacles slithering through scenes but the Kraken is only trying to do his job.
I played the full game and enjoyed the bonus chapter. This is not a challenging game but there are goals to aspire to achieve and turtles to catch. Overall its an entertaining and fun game.
I recommend this game!
