While this TM game offers a different theme from the 'Kingdoms' and 'Roads' games, it lacks a few features that I prefer. First, you can't be certain you'll actually clicked on a resource, since it doesn't show a check mark or some other indicator, second, you can't chain tasks so your workers spend too much time running back and forth to the base camp. I liked the hospital, dynamite, fishing boat and oil rigs...different resources from the medieval themes. The timer is very short to be able to achieve the gold level, so you're just playing to play, not to achieve a goal. I like the repair and upgrading of the Player's Town, but it takes a good deal of playing to gain enough points to complete the renovations. Some players REALLY like this game and others are so-so. Everyone should go through the trial and decide for yourself if this TM game meets your gaming needs, but most of all...always ENJOY!
This TM game is different from all others I've played in that it changes the environment to give you different backdrops as you progress through the stages! While you're performing many of the same tasks in each level, collecting food and wood, demolishing and building, collecting keys and tools, chasing away bad wolves and other bad abominables, the best part is that the story takes you to different locations, so it doesn't get so repetitive. None of the other TM games I've played so far change their background. It is very colorful and fun. There is a great deal of talking through the story, but it does make it 'family-friendly' and it's not too difficult. So read along, go on the adventure, and just have great fun with it!
Take a journey through medieval times. Help Joan of Arc to build a new kingdom and change the fate of the people in this epic story of honor and courage.
There are so many things about this game that I love: the graphics are vivid and colorful, the icons change with each game board, the board configurations remain a mystery until you unlock the current section, the music is a nice medieval harpsichord that you can play softly in the background and fits the theme perfectly. Joan of Arc is not the correct heroine to associate with this game, but if you can avoid getting bogged down in that, gaining points to rebuild the village, restore the buildings and the life of the villagers is all great fun. But beware of how loose you are with your cursor! Power Ups take time to recharge, so place your cursor carefully when choosing where to use them to your best advantage. This game is very similar to the Heroes of Hellas series-which I love-, but it's not quite as difficult. Enjoy!
This game is cute and colorful. The music is fanciful and fits the theme well. There is no timer that counts down - it actually counts up! So there is little challenge, but lots of variety in the game board designs, the choice of play (swap, group, or chain), and the bonuses. It's just simple, easy M3 fun. Young players ad beginning M3 players would really enjoy it!
After trialing many TM and Strategy games, I've found this series to be one of my favorite! The graphics are bright and colorful, and sound is tolerable. My favorite point of the series is that your can queue tasks for your workers, so that even though they DO have to return to camp after each task (sometimes they can group 2 tasks together), you know where they are headed next. Also best is that the resources regenerate quickly when you upgrade your buildings, but I hate when the lightening strikes! There is something going on all around the game board, all the time! And the fireworks at the end of each level are cool! I love fireworks, no matter where they are! Remember to collect your diamonds!
I recommend this game!

Legends of Atlantis: Exodus
Atlantis is facing its end of days and it's up to you to save the people and their kingdom in this innovative and exciting time management game!
I enjoyed this game with the exception that it takes too long for the resources to regenerate, even when you've upgraded your structures to the max. You have workers standing around at the base camp while you wait for resources to recharge themselves to be collected. Waiting around is not fun! This is completely in line with the "My Kingdom for the Princess" series-same problem that makes game play boring! Cannot compare to Island Tribe!
This game is not what I had expected it would be, being listed under the Time Management section of the website. Some describe it as RPG, but I do know it's not what I was looking for. Give it a try for yourself, as many RPG players seemed to enjoy it as a 'simple' level game.
I found the downside of this game to be that the game itself actually dictates what task you must perform next. There is too much character verbalization/interjection telling you what you must do next, instead of letting you discover it for yourself. It would be better to have an option to turn off tutorials as each tutorial screen appears. There is a point when you no longer need the guidance, and these interjections only get in the way of enjoying the game.
Embark on an epic journey across the Chinese Empire and build the greatest structure known to mankind - The Great Wall of China - in this exciting time management game.
After playing the Island Tribe series, it is difficult for other strategy games to measure up. While the Far Eastern theme was a draw over the forests, hills, islands, and valleys of other games, not being able to queue up the resource tasks for your workers is a definite disadvantage. You wait around for your worker(s) to return to camp before you are able to send them out on another task. How boring! I hate waiting around...it makes game play so slow, and after the Island Tribe games, even worse.
Discover the fabulous secrets that a jungle hides in Adelantado Trilogy: Book One! Help the brave and noble officer, Don Diego De Leon, to find and save the lost expedition.
In the past month I've begun trialing Strategy Games, owning over 100 Match 3 and as many HO, and needing a change. Of the 23 games I've trialed/purchased, I found this game to be lacking in comparison to the qualities of the others. Definitely trial many of these before making the decision to buy!
