Pennmom39 said it all! This game has everything you want in an M3, including the opportunity to replay a level if you don't achieve all the stars. I love the variety of changing game boards at every level and varying challenges. I especially like the sound effects! A bomb should should like a bomb, and when the pieces drop the sound is pleasant, unlike some other games. I'll need to replay India and Italy, after being reminded how great this series is. Only disadvantage is I first downloaded it onto my Windows 7 laptop and the game wouldn't open. It is only for Windows 8 and higher.
This game is perfect for children or those beginning M3. It's basic in all ways but shouldn't be discounted for it. Those new to gaming will enjoy its simplicity.
Yes, this game may be 'cartoonish', but don't we play games to have fun? Weren't our first TV experiences with cartoons? Don't be too afraid of being less 'adult' by playing a cute, cartoonish game! Queen's Garden is bright and colorful, with a different twist on the usual M3 game in that you have to match specific icons over specific colored tiles to make them go away. Not always so easy as it may sound! There are concrete tiles and frozen tiles that also present a challenge, and while you don't have to clear these to obtain the objective of each level - each level's objective is different - you only get tiles moving below the blocks and ice BY clearing them. The time on some levels is generous while on others it's more of a challenge. You buy upgrades to the garden when you've earned enough points. The drawback to this game is that the power-ups are not defined as to what each of them perform, and you only get them renewed when the Queen is happy with the upgrades you've made to the garden! Keep the Queen happy! If you have your sound on you'll hear her exclaim as you rebuild the garden. A fun, cute game for when you want to relax or for new players to M3. You also have the option of increasing the difficulty with a higher level that limits the number of moves in addition to being timed or change to untimed when you just can't get by a level or are really mello. Have fun!

I have to agree with the majority. This game includes a lot of matching with little purpose. The icons are counted in each game to earn toward power ups, but the price of the power ups is so ridiculously high you would nearly be through the entire game before you had enough points to buy them.
Doubled tiles, chains, double chains and blocks add to the M3 difficulty, but that's about all there is to this game. I did like that the icons change frequently, so you're seemingly playing different game boards.
The slow movement and 'clunk' sound of the moving tiles isn't an advantage, although you CAN make matches while a prior match is still in motion...a point I require in any game I'll purchase.
I love Victorian music, but the music loop in this game is too short and thus, repetitive.
Younger players or those new to M3, who need to hone their skills, may enjoy this game.

This isn't the typical M3 I like to play for FUN, rather you are matched against several different evil opponents and make matches to destroy them.
For those who enjoy playing warfare against an opponent, this might have been a good game if it came with instructions or explanations of the purpose of each of the icons on the game board, but there is very little instruction. Some you pick up as you go along by the results of the match. There were times I beat the opponent and had no idea how or why. The opponents get two or three turns to your one. They also have the ability to clear 2/3 of the board on their turn. Instructions may have saved this game.
After several opponent rounds you encounter a game of M3 to collect keys to open a chest, but more importantly, to collect diamonds to increase your firepower-ups for your battles.
That's the whole of it. If this is your kind of game, enjoy! I play for fun and relaxation - not warfare.
While this game is colorful, not difficult, has crisp graphics and soothing music, it's just plain fun for anyone whose dog is/was more than just a dog. The renditions of puppies before each game are beautiful and, no doubt, you'll see you're dog there. There are varying game board layouts, plentiful explosives and varieties of M3 (swap, chain, group) so it's always something different. For every dog lover!
The crow is your nemesis! While making matches, the crow flies around the outside edge of the game board and 'claims' your gems! If he makes it all the way around, you lose a life! But, fear not, as there are many Heroes with great superpowers who help you along the way to clear the board. With the gems you earn, you help to build the village and buy items to keep you villagers happy! As you village becomes more complete, you earn coins toward moving to a new location and starting a new village. Great fun...but watch that crow!
While this game has great graphics, good music, a variety of board configurations and wonderful color, it lacks two key features I want in my M3 games: you can't drag to swap and you can't make another move until all movement on the board from the last play stops. This makes it slow and cumbersome. You have to click on the tile you want to move, then click on the tile to exchange with it. All the tiles begin falling and you can't make another match until all movement stops. I like my M3 games to move faster. If these two older features are okay with you, you'll love the game!
This is a fun, easy game for those times when you don't want a big challenge. The graphics are good, there are a variety of board shapes that make it interesting, further on you get bombs and rockets to help clear those hard-to-reach corners and ends. The timer counts up, so no worry of running out of time. With the points you earn, you decorate your house and yard for Christmas. Hope you love "Joy to the World" as it plays over and over and over. A variety of holiday music would have improved this game immensely!
This game started like a game I really love: match 3, mini games, achieving building goals, until it reached levels where vines grow over the tiles to the point where there are no matches to be made. On level 25, when given the option to 'Quit' or 'Restart' the level, it only restarts. You can't get by this level, and for this reason, I'm dumping this game. Don't waste your money or time...it only causes frustration and that's not why I play these games.
