With so many people loving this game and as I generally like HO games I bought this one after a trial period. It wasn't so bad at the beginning but eventually it was a nightmare to play. Tearing around all over the screens trying to make sense of the so-called hints drove me crazy. For instance, in the bedroom it told me to look at the fireplace; so I looked at the fireplace in the bedroom. But no: I eventually discovered it was the fireplace in the hall downstairs that required investigation. Regarding the puzzles: I don't mind having to push my brains to work things out but many of them drove me crazy. This was hard work taken to a ridiculous level; I couldn't find places and logic seemed to go out of the window (but which window!). I am prepared to accept that my aging brain is beginning to deteriorate but I am able to play other HO games on a regular basis. I wanted to finish this game having paid for it (!) but I just couldn't being myself to do it. I think I am getting near the end (but who knows?) but it seemed pointless to pile on the punishment so I probably won't.

So pleased I only bought it on the weekly deal. Started okay but I soon found that the things that were supposed to help players did nothing of the sort. The map would highlight areas where there was nothing to be done; the actions didn't flow in any way and as a result I spent lots of time searching every screen trying to find an action that would take me forward. I gave up several times but came back to justify my (admittedly reduced) expenditure. No logic at all. I would never have finished it if I had not read the forum which pointedly out a tiny area which I (and apparently others) would never have found without the help of one brave soul who must have searched big time to find the last clue. More pain than pleasure.
I couldn't believe the end of the game came so soon. I am not a fast player and usually spend a few days playing such games in bursts of a few hours at a time. But this one - I was just settling in when it ended. I cannot have spent more than a couple of hours on it. My brain refused to accept that the game had finished so quickly - I kept searching for what had gone wrong. But nope - it was over - leaving me with a nasty feeling as to why such a short game should have been charged as though it was a normal length game. I will be wary of this manufacturer from now on.
I was so pleased to see a new Roads to Rome game - it is not disappointing. I spent much of the night playing it, sometimes coming close to tearing out my hair whilst trying to find the caches. I am on the second quarter and so far I have eventually managed to find each one. As expected there are a few refinements of the original game but this game has clear and simple rules - the work comes in getting everything done in time and keeping your resources up. A game for enjoyment and satisfaction.

This wasn't what I was hoping to find. Soon after I started playing I came up against one of the Clutter "Match two objects" scenes. I dislike the Clutter games very much. If you like them then go for this game. I am about to uninstall the game as I avoid them like the plague! All down to personal taste of course.

Horrible soundtrack and the game appears to have been roughly put together. It jars at every turn. I feel I am having to force clues into place - no smooth running. Screen colouring is poor too. Didn't enjoy any aspect of it and eventually gave up when things didn't improve.

Decided to give it a go on the deal of the day. First few levels were okay if nothing special. After that I just could not complete the levels in the time specified. The bits I was being given often didn't appear to belong anywhere on the picture as it stood. The quality of the pictures was also going downhill. So I uninstalled it.

Mosaics are not my first choice of game but I do like to do one from time to time. To be truthful, I don't really like the ones with lots of colours; I just like to do the counting and fill in the gaps, hopefully correctly. So I gave this one a go despite poor reviews. Eventually I had to pinch myself to check I was still awake/alive. When the demo time ended it was a bit of a relief. Even doing the maths seemed like a chore and there were no redeeming features.
Confront an ancient evil and uncover your true! After a startling revelation changes your world forever, you must embark on an epic journey to save mankind.

I played this on the daily reduced price game and was pleased to find a good game well worth the reduced expense. The puzzles are overall okay and the game was not difficult to follow without having to revert to a strategy guide. The game flowed well without frustration and I was sorry when it finished.

This was fun; full of colour with puzzles which were in the main worth the effort. I expect everyone knows the story of Scrooge, the miser, who on Christmas Eve is shown his past present and future lives and given a chance to change things for the better. The game does not rigidly follow the book but it is not irritatingly different. I was sorry when I finished it.
