Not just a high-quality holiday game, this is one of the best in the hidden object puzzle adventure genre that I've played. I did have to think sometimes about where to go next and really check out each scene for useful items. Hidden object scenes are less frequent than usual in this type of game. Cutscenes enhance the storytelling. The bonus game is a decent length and the barbarian cat is extremely cute.
This is a pleasant, colorful, easy Xmas game ideal for coffee breaks or an afternoon with grandchildren. Animations, although primitive, are charming. Junkpiles have some repetitive items but H.O. scenes overall are varied. Contains a small amount of religious content.
I recommend this game!

I don't want to be playing holiday-themed games long out of season, but this game is just too short. Otherwise, the adventure is straightforward and puzzles and hidden object scenes, excepting some secondary hidden areas, are easy. Unfortunately ESL and proofreading issues might pose challenges for young children. Music is very repetitive and overly familiar. Liked: beautiful graphics, elements of fantasy, folklore and even sci-fi.
From land, to deep underground, to high above Estis you can adventure with Leah as she makes startling discoveries about herself and the people around her.
Another decent RPG from Eridani Games, Leah's Tale has a sense of adventure like you find in the Aveyond series. Grinding is not necessary and there is a story mode if you really don't like fighting. The quests give you a lot to do while you explore the colorful and varied locales.
Eye-catching fantastical locales keep you moving through this otherwise straightforward and perhaps a little bit short hidden object adventure game. A few hidden objects were difficult for me to find.
If you hated Blair Witch Project, this might not be for you

Kudos to Big Fish Studios for improving the production values of hidden object adventure games. Dire Grove's live action scenes, detailed art and varied music score are superior to what you normally find in the casual games industry. The plot, however, was truly a drag: slow-moving and trite. This dissertation should have been rejected.
This game gave a feeling of exploring a town and its environs rather than just clicking through random scenes. The hidden object junkpiles remind me of those in the Mystery P.I. games, in that a monochromatic palette is used often to hide items. I found the ending abrupt, but otherwise, I actually wanted to know what happened next after solving each puzzle.
If you liked the other Dark Parables games, go ahead and buy this one. The length of Red Riding Hood Sisters is adequate for a hidden object adventure game. You search for fragmented hidden objects and do a lot of to-and-fro-ing. Graphics, music and sound effects are top-notch.
A minor complaint: the Sisters' costumes and poses. While this sort of depiction of female characters is common in mainstream video games, it's not really suitable for the casual games audience (you may disagree!)
I would consider this an above-average quality hidden object adventure game, compared to the dozens of this genre on this site. One genuine scare stands out amid the generally spooky autumnal atmosphere. Most of the puzzles are fairly easy, with one exceptional skill-based puzzle, but of course you can skip it. There are a lot of hidden object scenes. Length is decent and the story progresses just a bit further than you might expect. A map shows you where you can go next if you get stuck. Complaints: graphics and voice acting aren't wonderful.
Pros: some puzzles require a bit of thought, hidden vampires are not always easy to spot, the music is catchy. Cons: the Hidden Object junkpiles contain relatively few items, the cursor is clunky, the interface hides parts of the scenes. The previous Halloween game from this developer has more charm and polish. I recommend this only if you really love pirates and fairs.
