I have only played 10 games so far on the demo and this game is incredible! I just had to pause and write this review. It has so many styles of HOG that I haven't seen in other games in the genre. This is worth a purchase! Might have to look at the CE to see if it has enough extra games to get that instead. Those who are not fans of HOG will love this too!
it's still a good game so I will give it 4 stars. I think I might have been spoiled rotten by Spooky Mall so perhaps it is unfair to compare the two. I am still looking for something as enjoyable as Spooky Mall but I appreciate that these developers created a shopping TM game at all and this one is a chill and enjoyable game. If you are strategic in what you purchase with your coins, this can be an accessible game for TM beginners. Hint: Buy the cleaning staff last. You don't get any points for cleaning the shop nor do you lose points if you don't feed the cat but it's so adorable, I cannot watch it meow in starvation, lol. But you have to prioritize and sneak in time for feeding. The graphics are gorgeous too and you get 120 generous levels!
Fun as usual with added tasks. You get to find cats AND shape shifting butterflies! There are 18 new HOG, 18 new difference games and 18 new puzzles for a total of 54 games. The puzzles are more diverse this time and not only feature the usual fragments/jigsaw type puzzles but also clutter puzzles, matching image puzzles, etc.
The CE levels include 6 more HOG, 6 more difference games and 6 new puzzle games for a total of 18 CE games. Their I Love Finding Cats CE has 2 additional Christmas themed HOG, difference and puzzle games bringing the total of that CE pack to 24 games.
My only gripe, and this won't be an issue for all, is that there were one too many scenes with snakes.
Once again, you decide if the CE levels are worth going with CE and not SE.
The good: All levels are open so if you already played the SE, you can skip those levels and just go straight to the bonus levels and play those. There are 8 more HO levels, 8 find the difference and 8 more jigsaw type puzzle for a total of 24 additional levels in the CE.
Also love the Christmas themed levels!
The not so good: Only 24 more levels. With CE, I only care about added levels and not bonus features like music, etc, so you decide if it is worth paying double. The SE has 54 levels.
So it was cool to find a game like this. There are 18 hidden object and 18 find the difference levels where you get to find cats while fulfilling the tasks. There are also 18 jigsaw type puzzles all for a total of 54 enjoyable levels.
Their TM games are unique and fun, no doubt. But it seems the Primrose Lakes have issues, at least on the new MacBook Pro. The first one had a few levels with glitches. This release does not properly display the items at the bottom of the screen that you need to give to customers. You pretty much have to figure it out and remember where they are. Then, because of the poor display, you keep accidentally clicking pause on the game since items are placed right in the same area. Then sometimes, the raccoon is hiding under the same masked area and you cannot see it so you click blindly, hoping to find it.
Now, to the improvements:
Of all their TM that I have played, this is the first time that they made the levels sequential instead of hopping from location to location.
All in all, I am glad I invested in their Barbarous Tavern. To me, that had the least issues. This was is fun too, if you don't mind the above.
