Good little game, if you do not mind it being only 3 hrs long. I did not as it is only a SE and I enjoyed it.
The graphics are really good - precise and sharp. The HOS are quite plentiful, but also sharp and very clear and do not take long. The puzzles are mostly ones I have not seen before, and rather fun.
Your mother witnessed the assassination of JFK and was plagued by visions all her life. When she died, the visions passed to you. You fade in and out of reality and keep getting taken back to 1963. There is someone with the same ability, but they are bent on doing something they shouldn't ought to and you have to stop them.
I went to the Book Depository, the Grassy Knoll, Parklands Hospital, Jack Ruby's Club, the Oval Office, Condor Island and Lee Harvey Oswald's house, among other places, where I also encountered his wife and child. I met JFK and Oswald,
There is live footage of that tragic day, which is sad and brought a lump to my throat. So long ago, yet when you view it again, you are again struck by the enormity and horror of that day. People in shock and disbelief, wandering around, trying to comfort each other, unable to comprehend what just happened.
Although it is a different dev., it is very much along the lines of Gracelands, but on a much smaller scale, as that game was much bigger and grander.
The voice overs and music were good and the text ran at a reasonable speed.
There is a very good jump map, which I always appreciate. The hint/skip button were not as fast as I would have liked, but they were not too bad. Navigation is good enough not to rankle, if not instant. The hint button, outside the HOS, actually leads you straight to where you have to go, which I felt was a bit superfluous, given the jump map, but some people have a problem with jump maps, so might appreciate this feature.
It was done well enough to keep me interested.. I enjoyed it and am glad I bought it.
A little longer next time, devs., people are put off by short games. 4 hrs would be more acceptable and earn you more sales.
I recommend this game!

Oh, my giddy Aunt! My friend has been kidnapped, AGAIN! What a shock. Actually, my friend has been kidnapped so many times, I think I'll let them keep him and buy a new one.
Great game though. I am only sorry it is just 3 hrs long. One more and I would have been well satisfied.
The graphics are wide screen and very well done. All the colours are there and it is not raining, snowing, thundering or lightning. The town is very well laid out and it is easy to get around, as the game is not linear.
There is orchestral music, but also some soul, which I have not encountered before. Really liked that.
There are a fair number of HOS, but the objects are not miniscule and the scenes well lit. 2 mins tops, I think was the longest I had to spend on one. The puzzles are really easy so not going to appeal to those who like a challenge.
There is a very good jump map, with active locations highlighted. I see there is a WT, but I never had to use it. With such a helpful and quick hint button and the map, it was a breeze.
Navigation is perfecto.
A very good game from very good devs, who always deliver the goods. Well worth playing.
I recommend this game!

It took 7 hrs to download this and frankly, it was not worth 7 mins. i very much enjoyed their last and quite recent game. It was an improvement on their usual fare, but with this one they just went right back to the old standard format.
Average graphics. No wide screen. No map of any kind. No collectables. No achievements. No wow factor and no surprises. Numerous cut scenes in black and white sketches with interminable dialogue that could not be be clicked through and were very slow. They were all just individual accounts of personal experiences of what the evil dwarf did in their lives and did not add anything to the story. As a matter of fact, there is no story to speak of. Just an evil dwarf wreaking havoc, who became increasingly irritating, appearing in every 2nd scene, where I had to sit and wait while he did whatever mischief he was bent on, and he was not quick about it.
The iHOS were quite good, with a well balanced amount but the puzzles were the same ones they have used a million times before. The music was dreary and depressing.
The BC was irrelevant as far as I could make out. If if had not been for the state of the buildings I would not have understood whether it took place before or after the main game, but I still did not get it it's significance.
The main game took me 4.15 hrs and the BC 1 hr and I was, sorry to say, extremely glad to see the back of it.
All in all, a bit of a drag. I am reading some rave reviews by die hard fans of these devs, and, obviously the devs consider their games winning formulas, since they never change them and are not put off by the equal amount of reviewers who keep telling them they are not making games good enough to be CEs and they will not buy them.
Apparently they are satisfied with the amount of money they make on these games, since it never seems to occur to them that if they gave more they would get more.
I don't recommend this game.

I am very surprised at the lukewarm reception this game has received. In my opinion it should win some kind of award, if only for it's utterly equisite graphics. I am sure it took me longer to play than it should have because I so often just sat and stared. They really are so finely wrought, with such attention to detail and the colours are glorious. I cannot imagine how long it must have taken to create them. I have not heard of these devs before, but they are true artists in this field.
The game play was a treat, with something new and interesting at every turn, all with the wow factor. Navigation was perfect and the hint button gave directions and filled quickly. There were a lot of iHOS I must say, but they were also so lovely to look at and quick and easy. The puzzles were equally lovely, with a lot I have not seen before.
The music was good, the small creatures cute as buttons, the characters brilliantly done and the story excellent.
5 hrs of enchanted playing. I look forward to more from these talented and accomplished devs, with great anticipation.
Kudos all round, for a fabulous piece of work. Thank you all so very much.
I recommend this game!

Nice relaxing game, set in the 1950s, with good graphics on wide screen. There are a lot of iHOS, but they are clear, easy and quick and I did not mind them at all. The puzzles are easy enough but do take a while to solve. The hint button is great, really helpful. No map, but not necessary. Music just so-so.
You have psychic powers and you team up with your Detective friend to find out why people are dying with a strange symbol on their foreheads. Enivitably your friend gets kidnapped and you have to rescue him from the madman who is trying to bring his evil plan to fruition. I do not think I have ever teamed up with anyone who has not gotten themselves kidnapped.
The city is well laid out and good to look at. There's an Hotel, a Diner, Seer's Shop, Newspaper Office, Hospital, Asylum and Mansion, all with a few different locations inside.
The navigation is perfect and it's fun to travel around a town the way towns used to look in the 1950s.
It took me 4 hrs and I think it is well designed and executed and I could find no fault with it. For a SE it is good value for money at the sale price and I really enjoyed it. Good value even without the sale, actually.
Nice one, devs.
I recommend this game!

It is a bit of a stretch for me to even give this disaster the 2 rating.
The 2nd Exorcist was a vast improvement on the 1st and I fully expected this one to be even better than the 2nd.. However, it was even worse than the 1st. It does not seem that that same people worked on this one, it is so different and so inferior.
The graphics are very poor and the game play is clunky, slow and awkward. Navigation is dreadful. The iHOS are illogical and unclear. The music is awful.
The story is lame and the whole thing is just so amateurish, I cannot understand how it got passed.
Often the instructions, when I clicked on something highlighted, did not match the object or item, but harked back to something I had already done.
There are a huge amount of iHOS and puzzles, which puzzles I found illogical and not doable.
There was talk of a map, but it never materialized.
On the plus side, the hint/skip are fast and the hint gives directions. Unfortunately, that is all I can find to say about it that is positive.
I do recall the same incongruity between the design and style of the first 2, and this one is again, unlike either of them, and is of a third type. I think different groups of people have worked on each one.
It was altogether quite dreadful and I hated it. BFG needs to be more vigilant as to what they put out there. This type of mess is damaging to their rep, not to mention the dev's rep.
I am just grateful I did not spend any money on it.
I don't recommend this game.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed playing this game. This is how a CE should be. It is just perfect on all levels.
The graphics are excellent. The iHOS are not junkpiles and there are just the right amount of them. There are 2 different types. The music is very fitting - eerie and haunting. The navigation is instantaneous, not one nanosecond of delay. There is a terrific jump map which highlights the active areas, which is really needed since there are over 40 locations in the main game alone.
The story is a Sci-Fi loosely based on the movie "Village of the Damned", but they have put their own spin on it and it is different. Talking of endings, this game has one of the best I have come across. It took me somewhere I never expected and was so well done. The puzzles/mini-games are fun and not designed so only Einstein could solve them.
There are morphying objects to find, which are also marked on the map, so I did not miss any like i usually do.
The hint and buttons are fast and there is a very well laid out and clear SG which stays open where you left it.
The main game took me 5.45 hrs and ended satisfactorily for SE players, but I would not have missed the BC for the world. Interesting, relevant and totally engrossing. At 75 mins long, that makes a total of 7 hrs of absorbing play.
As far as I am concerned, all of the above totally makes up for not being able to get it in the sale. Worth every penny and then some.
Good work, devs. You just shot to the top of my best devs list. More games of this calibre, please.
I highly, highly recommend it!!!

This is not a bad game at all, just a little rough graphics-wise, a bit too dark (visually) and too short, at only 3.5 hrs.
There are a lot of iHOS and mini games but there are also other things to find and do, scattered around.
I especially liked the music, it's really beautiful. The hint button is quite fast and points the way, but the game is not overloaded with locations so getting lost is not a problem. There is no map because there is no need for one.
The story is quite good, I think. Original anyway. The distant past has intruded into present day, so you have the strange and mystical town and buildings existing at the same time as the modern ones. An evil they call The Catastrophe has caused this and you have to defeat it.
There is nothing remarkable or innovative about it, it is just your basic problem solving SE. If you know not to expect too much and can get it for free, it will while away a few hours as it is moderately interesting.
These devs have many other games to their credit that I own and I would not put this one too high on the list.
I am not going to recommend or not recommend it because I am not pulled in either direction.

Very disappointed. The graphics are good, even excellent in some scenes. Technically flawless. Good voice overs. Helpful hint button and fast skip button. There are achievements but they are weird. They seem to want the player to do the wrong things x number of times to get them.
The story is weak and not cohesive. I found myself wondering what it was all about, even at the end.
The mini games are bland and the game play is uninteresting, with no surprises or twists or anything at all to distinguish the game from hundreds of others. I did not find it sedate and understated, just mundane. Very meat and potatoes with no trimmings.
The SG is not in the game, you have to exit to the Menu. Some so called solutions to the puzzles are either inadequate or unclear.
The iHOS are mostly fine, except those (quite a lot) that have little lists of the same objects to find. E.g. "find 4 sticky things" and then "find 4 round things" etc., all in the same iHOS. This is childish and dull. Some are not iHOS but have little circles in the list section which are you have to find in the main picture above. Also not fun. There was one where I was given a set of tools and had to place them in the box, each slot clearly identifiable. That was beyond basic and just irritating.
The music is chamber music, which is uninspiring and boring.
The main game took me 3.45 hrs, which is poor. The BC I could not see had any bearing on the story. It was 1.15 hrs, making a total of 5 hrs, so I suppose one could say it was ok length-wise, but not for SE players.
BZ can do better than this. I know, I have their other games and I like them, but this one, as far as I am concerned, is a flop.
I think this series has run it's course and should be laid to rest. Dana Knightstone is just not the sort of character that lends herself to anything but the most basic stories, so the devs are limited as to what they can include as far as anything new and innovative goes.
Sorry BZ. I still like you but this was not up to par.
I don't recommend this game.

I have been delighted, bewitched, enchanted and beguiled for the last 6 hrs, by this utterly beautiful and charming game with the most original and inspiring graphics I have ever seen.
I set out on the adventure of a lifetime, with 3 fascinating and adorable companions, each one with a special ability, who helped me perform various tasks throughout, who I love to bits.
The story is original and intriguing and beautifully told, with the best voice overs ever.
There is a jump map, great music, good hint button and so many locations it is astounding. I travelled in a submarine and a hot air balloon, went to floating islands and flying ships, saw the most exotic and creative otherworldly scenery, and did indeed experience a Journey, of epic proportions.
It is pure puzzle adventure with no HOS and there are literally dozens and dozens of puzzles, but they are extremely doable. For those that did have me stumped, the skip button is super quick. The dialogue is fun and engaging and funny, the characters talk to and tease each other, but not to the point where I was put off by too much dialogue. It is not over-done at all, just a laugh.
This is their best game yet and I can only praise it to the skies for the pleasure it gave me. Excellent work, devs, you have really outdone yourselves. It is genious. Thank you. And thank you BFG. Do not let them get away. They rock.
I highly recommend this game.
