I've played this one all the way to the end several times now and it never gets old. So it's worth the money. Awesome graphics, special effects, and audio.
The timer is quick, so grab as many gems as you can. This isn't a relaxed-mode match game. You have to keep trying to better your score as you advance, so you'll be able to get through the levels. And you never loose lives in this one. So don't get discouraged easily if you don't reach the goal every time. Actually, it makes longer game play this way, so you can still enjoy it no matter what happens!
There are several levels and each level has chests you must open so you can get the key to get to the next level. But don't let this fool you into thinking that isn't much game play. Because each chest has several goal points you must achieve and as the levels go up, so does the amount of goals plus points needed. Furthermore, there are also bonus levels within the chests that are more of a puzzle than just matching. They also become more challenging as the levels go up.
Whatever you do, don't skip these puzzles, because you'll miss out on stars. You use stars to actually purchase power-ups that you'll need to be able to get thru the game and finish each level. You also need to choose your power-up's wisely otherwise you may not get to the next level. An interesting concept is that the colored power-up's each do something different. i.e., red blows things up, green grabs jewels, gold gives extra points, etc.
You also have awards/achievements that you earn along the way and it's always fun to go back and play the chests over to earn more points if you want.
I recommend this game!

An enjoyable fun marble game that keeps you clicking for hours at a time. Not only do you match up colored marbles you also shoot at trees, rocks, etc. to earn jewels, coins, power-up's, treasure chests, and the like. Collect all the coins you can to buy extra tools that help you along the way. You can even play levels from your map, you've already played as many times as you'd like, to earn extra coins and points.
As you level up, the challenge rises as they move faster and add more colors, so you have to click fast to save your city and not loose a life. Eventually, you can buy protection for your city to help you get thru these levels. There are also secret levels you need to find, so make sure you destroy everything you can with your marbles in each level.
Nice graphics, sound effects, and action. Also has three levels of difficulty so the whole family can play.
I recommend this game!

This is the first of the Puppet series I've tried, because it came highly recommended. The different type of characters (the puppets) in this game are interesting, due to them being unique. I thought there would be more of a storline with more speaking characters involved, but it was actually a nice change not to be interuppeted by all of that.
As usual, there's a great deal of running back and forth to find the necessary items to complete the puzzels and solve the crime. A few of the puzzles are more challenging than the rest, so it does give you a little variety. There's not that many different interactive HOG scenes in this one, so be prepared to enter the same area more than once. However, the graphics are high-end, so they're easy to spot and what you find for tools makes sense to be used elsewhere. There's some common sense thinking that needs to come into play, which is challenging within itself to solve the case.
The options do give basic and expert mode, which is always a nice feature for the gamer to choose. Since I chose expert, a few times I missed an item and needed the walkthrough to get me started up again. LOL! Otherwise, it wasn't too difficult or aggravating to not be able to complete. The music was nice up to a point, then I couldn't listen to it any longer. However, that's normal for me with games like this!
This was a really enjoyable relaxing game and I'll probably purchase the entire series. All-in-all, very nice quality gaming experience!
I recommend this game!

The storyline starts off rather interesting, but becomes dry rather quickly, than nonexistent, and abruptly ends. I honestly thought it would be more about werewolves, but... The story does follow along, it's not confusing, but there could have been more to it.
The visual and sound quality was really nice throughout the game. This has the usual mystery puzzle solving, back and forth between scenes for HOG's, etc. The challenge is middle-range to some being more difficult, but nothing that one shouldn't be able to solve or skip if you want. Options are normal (sparkle help# or expert #no sparkle help).
For the most part, at least the HOG and puzzle's match up together to make sense throughout game play. This one falls into enjoyable and relaxing, but it could have used a bit more, to make it wonderful and thrilling!
I recommend this game!

In a dual-pack by BFG, I purchased MCF 13th Skull and this game. All I can say is, this was a very nice combo put together and well worth purchasing!
There was something about this one that kept me interested and enjoyed it to the very end. I'm not one for "evil" type stories, but, most HOG seem to be based on these types of plots. However, I try to look past that and still enjoy the game play, especially when there's a happy ending.
I recommend this game!

The challenge to this game was rather difficult for me. I found myself spending more time on the walkthrough than playing the game. Several times I found myself wondering about all the scenes wondering what to do next, more so, than the usual HOG. It seemed a great deal more challenging than Dire Grove, which I didn't have any problems with.
The only reason, I put like, instead of love, is the annoying tasks one must do for the characters. It didn't feel real having one do this, instead of just investigating the crime. I also didn't care for one of the characters screaming at me, to finish up the game, so I turned the audio off. Otherwise, it was interesting to speak with the characters throughout and some really crazy things happened. I liked the mystery part of the story line, to try to keep you guessing!
As usual, MCF, doesn't disappoint with visual and sound quality. I did have fun with this one, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Dire Grove, instead.
I recommend this game!

This was another HOG that I purchased as a dual pack by BFG and glad that it came this way instead of regular price.
The visual is really nice quality, however, some of the HOG was difficult to see. The audio was annoying, so I muted it. You have to read the entire storyline, so I skipped them. I'd rather the characters speak to me instead.
They keep you going back and forth in this one, way too much to be enjoyable and it seemed rather aggravating to me in many of the scenes. Like others stated, you have to sometimes create something or perform actions that didn't make a great deal of sense to do in the first place.
This has a nice relaxing mode and has different challenge levels. It's an okay game, but I've played better.
I recommend this game!

I'd have to say a previous reviewer said it all about this game, and I have to agree, it's extremely enjoyable!
The only reason I gave a good for visual, is that even though I've tried to reinstall this game several times, I'm guessing because I have Windows 7, I only have a small window. For some reason, I cannot get the larger window. But this might just be a fluke for my computer. Otherwise, it's wonderful! Maybe you might want to try the trial version on your system because of this reason. However, the game play itself is very interesting and long lasting and totally worth getting!!!!
I recommend this game!

I've played several different types of word games and this one is nice. It has a set amount of letters that you need to create many different words from. I believe anywhere from 3 to 7 letter words. All but one part of the game, there's no time limit and is relaxing. You can take your time to finish all the words, if you like. It gives you an option after you finish creating a puzzle, to either move onto the next level, or finish all the words before you do. It also gives you a scramble button for the letters, to help see words better.
I like this game, because you can type the letters in with your keyboard, instead of having to use the mouse. It makes it easier, especially for the timed part of the game, when you must move quicker. I also enjoy it, because it makes you think to finish all the words they have you fill out. This one isn't all about thrills, if that's what you're looking for, but is relaxing for the most part and does help you learn to spell!
I recommend this game!
