I remember playing the demo of this several years ago and jumped at the chance when I saw BFG offering it. I didn't think I'd ever get the chance to play this goodie again!
Like others stated, this one should be given a chance!!! It's a worthwhile game to sit and relax blasting away at blocks and the like with a ball or shall I say sometimes several large mega balls. You even get shooting rockets, at times. All the while, you grab power-up's, gems, and other goodies to help you along the way. And be sure to watch out for those nasty bombs or you'll loose a life quickly!
Everything about it is pleasing, challenging, and enjoyable. Give this one at least a demo try, it won't disappoint!!!
I recommend this game!

It's been awhile since I played this HOG, so I won't go into much detail about it, I'm sure others already have done so. I do remember that the storyline was rather interesting and it was rather enjoyable playing the game. It was worth the cheaper sell price.

While 3-match games are usually relaxing for me, especially when they aren't timed like this one, this particular game has one annoyance to me I cannot get over. If you sit for any length of time to try and think your next move, the whole web of gems glimmers over this bright light, what seems like every 10 seconds or so. I'm sure this is just me, but it's extremely distracting and I tend to loose concentration on my next move. It would have been much better without this feature. Plus, it gives you hints for the next move that you cannot option out of. I'd rather try on my own without the help of hints constantly nagging at me.
Otherwise, the visual quality is pleasing while playing the matching part, however, when you are purchasing items to build or repair the buildings, the graphics are something to be desired. Furthermore, when you have to do hidden object pieces that are the same color and extremely tiny, that is really aggravating in order to finish the level of that building.
The web matching is otherwise nice to try to go through the difficult challenges they offer. I'd try the demo on this one, prior to purchasing. If I had to do over, I wouldn't have gotten this one!
I don't recommend this game.

Since I usually enjoy POPCAP games, I didn't hesitate to purchase this one, as well. This has so much game play interaction, puzzles, awards, and the like. It's a different type of fun and has become extremely addictive. There's just something about it that makes me keep coming back to it. I highly recommend at least trying it!
I won't go into all the details of the game because I'm sure everyone else before me probably already mentioned it.
I recommend this game!

Once I've played MCF's newer HOG's like Dire Grove, it was painfully difficult to go back to these older versions. I was hoping to still experience some enjoyment, but it was just okay. Now if I had started with the first installment MCF made and proceeded with each one thereafter in order, I believe my experience would have been much better! So I still recommend purchasing because I'm sure this was something in it's day, but you might be disappointed like me, if you play MCF games out of order.
I'm a huge fan of MCF, but it's so hard to go back in time and play the older games. So... I'll patiently wait for the next installment!

This had about the same type of game play challenge as devil on the Mississippi, but a better storyline. So I gave this one a little better rating than I did the other. These HOG's are about middle-of-the line to me. Not super easy, nor super difficult. There perfect for just relaxing and taking your mind off things for awhile.
One huge complaint with this game was a glitch. About three quarters of the way through it, I stopped the game. When I came back to the same spot (a house that had fog around it, this wouldn't disappear so I could advance to the next scene) it was if I didn't complete anything in the game at all. So I couldn't proceed!!! I had to create a new name and start the game all over again, making sure not to stop at that same spot again. Then I was able to proceed to finish the game.
Like I said with the other review I left, you might want to demo this one before purchasing. Some players may like it more than I did.

This is a middle of the line HOG with some challenge and puzzles. I've seen a great deal better storylines, etc. It's an okay purchase at a smaller asking price. I would recommend because it might be enjoyable for other players, but you might want to try the demo first.

I gave wonderful reviews for music of death, but this one was disappointing. For one major issue, I kept having to go back and forth to the same scenes so many times it became tedious really quickly. I don't mind having to revist a little, but back and forth six, seven... times is not what I call enjoyable. I guess the developers thought this was challenging, however, it is nothing but aggravating.
The visual and audio is excellent as in the music of death, but I must admit I didn't listen to the music in this one, as I did in the other. The storyline with this one seemed rather lacking and dragging on trying to make a point. The music of death actually caught my attention all the way through the game. I think they might have rushed this one a little to quick on the market and could have put more thought into it.
Overall, it's still an okay game. Maybe I was just expecting too much.

This HOG was okay, but it was rather annoying to me. I've played other HOG's where you have to go back to the same place more than once, but this one was ridiculous!!! There was no sense of direction at all and got old rather quickly going back and forth so many times.
Everything else in the game was alright, but it could have been outlined better. You may want to purchase the demo first before purchasing this one for this reason.
I don't recommend this game.

I played this a long time ago on a demo and so when I finally found it here on BFG, I snatched this one up!
There are so many levels, including secret ones you must find, you'll be playing for hours on end! This isn't your typical match-3 game. A great deal of strategy is involved while you destroy objects along with the tiles to advance to the next level. As you move along your map you earn power-up's like dynamite, bombs, magnets and the like to get through each level. It's very challenging because at times there's complicated mazes. But don't panic, because your not timed!
This is perfect for the whole family. It has cute little characters along the way that give you riddles to help you succeed. Once you finish, you'll want to play it over and over again, it's that addictive!
