This game was awesome! I started with the hour demo and was blown away by the graphics alone. The scenery is stunning and realistic, crystal clear and even the characters movements are impressive. The story line sucks you in and for the first time in a while I played the entire hour and didn't reach the end of the "demo" version. That prompted me to purchase this game. I was not disappointed in the full version! Lots of things to do in the game and I was never bored. The story line keeps you interested and there is not an overabundance of HOs. It is a mixture of hidden object and putting objects back into the scene so it doesn't get monotonous. The puzzles are great, some are challenging but most are ones I have seen before but are done well enough that they "feel" new. Such a wonderful game!
I recommend this game!

Overall it was an ok game. The opening cut scene grates on the nerves a little, even though it is a speaking part it is a little annoying. Like the speaker was trying to overdo emotion or something. I almost skipped it but it was over soon enough. It also had some dramatic pauses too, whether or not they were going for that or if it was the game hesitating/loading. :) Storyline is good, zombie type people looming everywhere you turn, making you wonder if its going to stop raining.*they are afraid of water*
Graphics are ok, crystal clear in some parts and in others blurry. I had trouble reading the note left by her hubby until it was in my notebook/diary. Some of the HO scenes had some blurry parts to it but it didn't affect the game play.
This one was a very short demo for me, I finished the demo in about 40 minutes so on the challenge level I think its a little easy but the game was quite enjoyable just the same. A relaxing although creepy HO game :)
I recommend this game!

I played through the demo and liked the game. It was a bit more challenging than others because it doesn't tell you what you are looking for so you find yourself randomly clicking on things at first. Like.. Oh there is a rope maybe I will need that *click* yup, but I have to find something to cut said rope... ah I see... Active zones do not sparkle which is great for me because I like trying to figure out the mystery behind what I am supposed to do. It adds to the challenge. Definitely not a game for the newbies.
Graphics are nice and clear in most settings. I did however only run into one zombie I think and a whole bunch of skeletons, but then again I did only play for an hour, so the creepy black mist was the bad guy in the game for as far as I got. :)
Some would not like this game because it doesn't tell you outright what you have to do all the time and there is some figuring out to do on the part of the clicker... but I liked that aspect of the game.
I recommend this game!

The idea behind this time management is that you are on a reality show and you have to prove that you can farm in any climate on any soil. Cute. I like it, and as the basic farming/time management idea goes, it flows very nicely. Graphics are colorful and well done for a cartoon game and are quite nice to look at.
Much more entertaining than some I have played. I do like the click and drag way of harvesting and planting on this game as it does make it much more streamlined and I don't get that cramp in my finger from crazed clicking! :)
By comparison to other time management games however, it isn't very challenging.... I was able to play through with little difficulty in the hour demo and got through to the second stage and I think 3 or 4 levels into that stage. I was also taking my time reading through the upgrades and the cut scenes as well. That is the main reason I won't be buying this game, I probably would have completed the game in a day or two. I tend to play a little longer than most people though.
I do like the game however, it flows well as I said, and the background music is not annoying. It was one of the few time management games that I actually left the background music at the default level of volume.
I recommend this game!

I don't know how much it goes by the show so I am reviewing strictly on the game itself. I used my free game token to buy the whole game because I enjoyed the free hour. The game was a little "short" for me because I play games like this a lot but I still enjoyed it.
The graphics for the type of game that it was were crystal clear and I didn't have trouble with the HO scenes like you do in some games. Even though it was a murder mystery, it was brightly "lit" and you do not have any trouble viewing any of the scenes throughout the game. Puzzles are challenging and new enough that they don't feel repetitive from other gaming experiences.
I do wish that there were speaking/voice overs added to the game, as it would have added to an already interesting game. There was so much reading already with having to figure out your clues and read the passages in the books and instructions for mini games etc. that having to read through the dialog gets a little tiring. *you can skip but really who wants to do that?*
I like that you "feel like" you are actually helping to solve the murders even though you are only pointing and clicking through the scenes :)
Overall was a really good game !
I recommend this game!

I like this game just for the SIM factor, being able to raise a family, provide them with food, keep the house neat, and the added challenge of renovating the house room by room is pretty awesome as well.
That being said, what I don't like is the limitations on what I can buy. I have to wait for the generations of family members to own the home... I have to wait for the original parents that own the home to die, their children to come back from "college" to take over the home before I can actually move on to buy upgrades, decent furniture, or even *3rd generation* a washing machine... for one of my families I have a pile of 17 socks waiting to be washed in the bathroom! I started with a younger couple in each of my families *I have 3 so far* and although I like that this game isn't going to be a quick one to complete, it is a little annoying that there are such ridiculous limits to the items that I can buy for my home. Seriously?!? 3 generations before I can get rid of those socks???? Lord I am going to have 30 of them in the bathroom before I get a washing machine :)
Anyway, The cursor does jump a little as stated in some of the forums but I have found that if you move the mouse a little slower towards the edges of the screen it doesn't hop back to the center. I like that the game feels interactive when your family occasionally sends you "emails" requesting things or thanking you for something. The graphics are pretty good and for the type of game that it is everything is as expected :)
I recommend this game!

I only played through the demo on this game, and I won't be buying the game because I became slightly annoyed by the amount of "hand holding" if you will call it that. There is a lot of talking in this one and the characters are continually telling you where you are, what you need to do, and what you need to collect. As if I wasn't aware of that by the little objectives that pop up at the bottom of my screen. Some may like that however because it may make it feel more interactive I suppose. Definitely won't need a strategy guide for this one!
-The HO scenes are wonderful and a bit challenging which I rarely find because I play these type of games so often.
-The graphics are quite beautiful and follow along with the style of the previous Emp of the Deep games. Some of the scenes are not very crisp but that may have been part of the design so I am not going to flaw the creators for that :) The background music is very subtle and quite nice. It was just all the voiceovers that killed it for me.
That being said, I would still recommend this game as long as those ideas were kept in mind.
I recommend this game!

I loved this one so much in the hour demo that I bought it. Visually it is absolutly beautiful. There are a huge amount of levels that kept me playing for quite a long time, which is unusual unless I download a large file game. There is enough of a challenge throughout the levels that even though your character is "cute" it is not a "kids" game. Even after completing the game I can go back to other levels and complete things that I missed. Awesome game!
I recommend this game!

I only played the hour demo but still love the Gardenscapes games. They are packed with HO scenes and some are a little challenging but I love them all. Graphics are great in this one, even for a cartoonish game. If you love these games then definitely get this one !

At first this game was frustrating because it didn't really give you an idea of what you were looking for. Then I realized you have to follow the little sparkles. Once you figure that out the game flows quite easily enough. I normally love HO games but the HO scenes were a little too easy for my taste. The puzzle that you are collecting throughout the game is a nice touch but the creators make most of the puzzles too easy. All you have to do is float the piece around the area and a silohette will pop up where the piece is supposed to be. I am glad I used my free game token for the game, as I would have been disappointed with the game had I payed for it. I was also disappointed with the ending it kind of leaves you hanging.... are they planning another? All in all, it was a decent enough game and I enjoyed the story plot but it just sort of fizzled towards the end, like the creators were marching towards a deadline and rushed to finish.
I don't recommend this game.
