Played the demo...Good graphics, nice voice overs, super easy puzzles. Good game for younger players or the beginner. Story line and content more fitting for children. I think Big Fish needs to start labeling games. Ones for adults , for children, for beginners, intermediate and expert. I am wasting too much time trying out games for kids.
I don't recommend this game.
Something’s driven everyone away from Linden Shades.

The subject matter of the game is for adults, but the puzzles are not. Lovely graphics, nice voice overs and an OK story...but I need more. Give it a shot if you are a beginner.
I don't recommend this game.
Return to the House of 1,000 Doors to save mankind from annihilation!

Great graphics, nice voice overs, lovely music and well done HOGs....but the puzzles are VERY easy. If you are looking for a relaxing game this is for you but if you want more you may find it very boring. I thought the puzzles were more suited for children.
I don't recommend this game.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

Great game...Fun, Engaging, and Challenging puzzles! I loved every frustrating minute of them! The demo has a lot of morphing HOG's but as you get into playing the game they are further apart.( I personally did not like the morphing HOG's) The graphics are great! Well done with lots of textures. Not that overly shiny stuff you see now days that just gives me a headache. This game is dark and can be disturbing and a bit icky. NOT for children this is an ADULT game with adult themes and adult puzzles FINALLY!!!! I am so tired of these game with a difficultly level and theme for 10 year olds! It took me almost a week to play this game in the evenings after work. Most new games are 5 hours or so for me now days. Some people have commented that the puzzles are impossible to solve but I did finish the game without the walkthrough!!!!!.....so if I can do it, you can do it. Trust me I am not a genius, just stubborn to do it myself. Often when I finally solved a puzzle it was so obvious!!! just take the time to LOOK.
BIG FISH...More games with the complex puzzles PLEASE!!!
I recommend this game!

Complete game......The game is very short, usual story line, child kidnapped you need to rescue them. Easy puzzles. Interactive HO scenes. I am glad I used a freebie coupon, this was a very boring game.I figured since I bought it I should finish it... I think I played this for maybe 4 hours? I loaded it up early this afternoon and finished the game around 6:30.
I don't recommend this game.

Review of Full game played on hard mode.
This is a good game.
Some puzzles were intermediate for a change. You will have to work at a few of therm.

NOT slow at all, you have to think and be patient. This game does not give you items. --Whoa there is a locked door- here is the key. There is a wilting flower, here is the watering can.
Some interactive areas do not become active until you have the item you need. Be on your toes , you will have to go back and look for things.
HOS are interactive, but will not give you the "grabby hand" to tell you what object you need to combine. (At least on hard mode) You will have to do that on your own. Not a big problem.
Graphics are very well done, clear and pleasing. Not that overly glossy stuff that gives me a headache. Right at the start they give you a brighness option. ( very nice)
Music is actually good BUT a drawback is as they have 3 songs that play over and over.
The ending isn't going to be what you expect......
I recommend this game!
When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…

SE version. I played this on hard core mode. Nice graphics and music, a twist to the story that was actually good. Some puzzles were easy, some were a bit more of a challenge. Nothing to keep you up all night. This is yet ANOTHER dark game ( maybe the title tipped you off ) but better than most I have played lately. You will have origami objects to collect throughout the game. The HO scenes are clear and interactive.I did have fun playing the game..but it just seemed to be missing something that holds me back from giving it 5 stars.
I recommend this game!

I played the game on hard mode. I did find most puzzles on the easy side but it did have a few that surprised me. The best thing about this game is the graphics, they are great!!! Wonderfully drawn and it SHOWS. Another thing is the ending it is actually good for a change and the story line had me guessing for a bit. Which is VERY unusual nowdays. The HO scenes are clear, the music and sound effects work with the game and complement it. I just loved the graphics. FINALLY someone took the time to come up with great scenes, a decent storyline and some good puzzles . The game is a long one for a SE with many places to go. The game ran perfectly for me with no problems. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because some puzzles are very easy with no challenge, but don't let that stop you from trying the demo.
I recommend this game!

The graphics are great, music wonderful, decent storyline...but...the puzzles are for a 12 year old age group. I found the game very easy. I played on hard mode. It is your standard, find objects put them together, solve puzzles with hidden object scenes. The HO's were very good, nice graphics and some objects were difficult but not impossible to locate. The game has a good length for a change and the bonus round was decent but very easy. Good game for beginners, or for the more experienced player who wants a casual game.
I recommend this game!
