Let's start with the good.
Fantastic HO scenes with lots to do. The best part of the game!!
There were even riddle clues that are my favorite!
Graphics were nice and the level of challenge was good.
The game seemed to be long enough to make it worth while.
Now the not so good stuff.
If you love the paranormal, especially vampires, then this game is definitely for you. If, however, you are more like me where you do not like to play games loaded with paranormal stuff in them then you will want to pass on this one. I wish I had. I played the trial of this game but somehow bought it anyway. I'm giving it 4 stars because it is a well-made game. The developers put a lot of effort into it and if it were not for all the paranormal I probably would have loved it. This is one game I own that I will never play again.

I tried the first one of these last week (Rainbow Mosaics: Christmas Lights) and used up all of the trial time quickly. I would have bought it on the spot but I wanted to wait for Monday to buy it so that my free game coupon counted towards earning another free game! Here it is Monday, and lo and behold tomorrow's new release game is a new Rainbow Mosaic!! I just played it for 10 minutes and it is a keeper!
I own 3 of the Fantasy Mosaic games 8, 13 and 14. But I like these better. I am happy to see that they are continuing to make them! I will be buying both of them!!
I recommend this game!

I just finished the whole game and I really enjoyed playing all of it except the last few scenes where it is all about exorcism. I skipped through those pretty quickly. So the 5 stars are for the game up until then.
Graphics were very nice.
Level of Challenge was perfect for me. I played on the Advanced Level for the first time ever and I only used the hint button a few times to figure out what I missed.
I enjoyed playing the mini-games. They were fun. The HOS were not very plentiful and when they did show up they were fun.
Overall a pleasant way to spend a few hours.
I recommend this game!

I wish there were half stars because this is not a 5 star game. But I think it is worth more than 4 stars.
The reasons it's not a 5 star game to me is because the adventure part of the game was too easy. Not as challenging as I like it and because of that it wasn't as fun as these games usually are to me. This game would be excellent for a beginning player to start out with and they would probably love it!
However, the HOS were excellent as were the mini-games. (Challenging but not frustratingly so and unique) I played all the way through the main game, as well as the bonus game because of these!! The storyline was also interesting and not one I had seen done before.
A really great game but not geared towards advanced players. To me, it was worth the $ for the mini-games and HOS. I also thought the bonus chapter story was more interesting and more challenging than the regular game.
I recommend this game!

This game was so much fun to play that I didn't want it to ever end! Unfortunately, it did end but I thought it was a rather long game at that.
I've been playing more recent games (2016) but found this game on here that I hadn't heard of before. I am so glad I did!! It made for a very pleasant way to spend the day! The games they make now are full of so much hand holding you don't need to do any actual thinking, which is a shame. I'm ashamed to say that I have gotten used to all the interactive maps, and the sparkles all over the place to show you where every little thing is to do and I had forgotten how to search a scene properly! While I was trying out the game to see if I wanted to buy it I kept getting stuck!! Then I would have to push the hint button!! After I bought the game, I started over at the beginning and still had to think! Then my "Adventure Game" mode kicked in and I remembered you have to slow way down and search every nook and cranny of the scene to make sure you don't miss anything. I rarely used the hint button the rest of the game.
Now, this hint system is run the way I wish all games were!! You click on the hint button and it opens a journal type book that gives you your current task that you should be working to accomplish. Sometimes this is all you need to know to jumpstart the old brain cells. Then there are other times when your brain just isn't with it and you need further assistance. There is a place to click to get more detailed help. Each time you click it you get a little bit more information to help you figure out what you should be doing. The great part is that when it dawns on you what you need to do, you can stop reading the hints and go do it!! Or if you're still stuck you can click to get the next hint. I love it!!
I thought the mini-games were somewhat challenging, which is exactly how I like them!
There were only a few HOS in the game and they felt more like mini-games to me. I thought they were fun also.
I know that the newer games have better graphics and cut scenes but I thought the graphics were cute and matched the story.
I thought it was a unique twist to the game to have to switch roles between playing the prince and the princess!! So much fun to see both sides of the story!
Bottom line: This game had the perfect hint system. It was chockfull of humor. It was challenging but not impossible. Interesting storyline with all kinds of people to meet and help. It was loads of fun to play and I will replay this one several times!!
If you think you might like it, download it and try the free trial. I think you might like it if you like quirky stories.
I recommend this game!

I got hooked on this game during the opening cut scene. I did play the entire demo before I bought it but just because I didn't want to stop long enough to buy it.
I just finished playing the whole game and had a blast! My favorite part of the game was the carnival, which you get to play during the demo. If you don't want to play the whole game, at least play the demo to go through the carnival.
The storyline was unique and the best part was there wasn't any werewolves, ghosts, witches, vampires, or other occult stuff in it!! This is rare and I for one am truly thankful for the developers breaking out of the mold!
There isn't any map but the hint button is directional pointing which way you need to travel through the scenes. There was some traveling but it didn't seem overly much to me.
The mini-games were some of the ones I had seen before and some new ones. They were medium difficulty and I had to skip two or three but they were all fun to play.
The HOS had a unique twist to it them. I enjoyed the art work in them. Very fun to look at.
The graphics in the whole game were very well done and I was very happy to discover new areas so that I could look around.
I also enjoyed talking to the various characters along the way. Some of them were a hoot!
So, there you have it. I can't find anything to complain about in this game. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole game and I look forward to playing it again. I am VERY happy I purchased it and wished there were more games like this one!
I recommend this game!

I just finished playing the whole game, including the bonus chapter. It is a very long game. It took me several days to finish it!! Of course, I had to stop and cook supper and other mundane chores along the way but it was still a longer game than most others I have played.
Even with having to pick up the game after stopping it was easy to pick up the storyline quickly and remember what was going on--that's how interesting the storyline was!
I have all of the Fear For Sale games and love all of them. I still remember playing the first one when it first came out and thinking how awesome it was. It's good to see that the series is being continued with the same caliber of greatness!
The graphics are awesome!
Voiceovers are fantastic!
HOS are interesting, nice to look at while searching for objects, and there are not an over abundance of them.
The mini-games were mostly doable. I had to skip a few.
The level of challenge was perfect for me.
Bottom line: I had fun playing the game and never got bored. Very happy I purchased this one.
I recommend this game!

This is based on the demo only. I usually wait until I play the whole game but this time I decided to give one now to hopefully offset some of the bad reviews.
There is a jump map. You pick it up in your office in the police station almost at the end of the demo.
There are navigational arrows that show up on the edges of the screen when your mouse rolls over them indicating directions you can leave the present scene from. (One reviewer stated that there weren't any)
My computer loaded the scenes fast enough for me during the first scenes. After I arrived at the police station it did slow down noticeably but not enough to make me think my computer was crashing! I am running Windows 10.
The hint button works great telling you either the direction you need to travel from the present location or pointing at something in the scene you are in. It also loaded fast enough for me even without any upgrades!!!
Please use the tutorial to know how to use the tools they give you!
After covering all the mechanics of the game now on to the good stuff!!!
The game is a lot of fun to play. It's steampunk, which I love. You have a camera to take pictures of evidence you find along the way which goes on the evidence board. You have to go to the evidence board and drag the pictures onto the correct circle. I'm guessing we are going to be involved in solving the crimes, not just watching it get solved. Yea!!
There is also an ultraviolet light stick that we use to find fingerprints/footprints at the different locations. These fingerprints give you points that you can use to buy things like faster hint charging, a better camera, or upgrade the ultraviolet light. Also a cool detective hat!!
In my opinion, the game was intuitive. I knew what to do with all of the items I picked up along the way. The game moves you along as you play. If you haven't done everything there is to do in a scene, sometimes it traps you there until you do but not always. (There is a message that pops up to let you know you haven't finished all your tasks there)
I played one mini-game and there were no directions but it was easy to figure out what to do. The game was not that easy but figuring it out was.
I played one HOS and it was fun. The morphing objects did not change too fast for me. I was able to find all of the objects in a timely manner.
I thought the graphics were great and fit into the game perfectly. I also loved the voiceovers and look forward to finding more people to interact with!! (I've talked to 4 or 5 people so far)
Storyline: Very intriguing!!! I am hooked and want to keep playing so I can see what is going on!
Overall an excellent game that I am sure I will love finishing and so I am off to buy it now!
I recommend this game!

I bought this game back in 2012 and played it through and loved it!! I loved it so much that I remembered I loved it 3 1/2 years later! I just replayed it and had a blast once again.
I really like that it doesn't have any H.O.S. to slow the story down, which moves very quickly. Most of the time it was obvious to me where an object in the inventory was needing to be used and I would travel there and use it. There didn't seem to be too much traveling around required--most of the objects were used in the present scene or the last 2 or 3 scenes. There were a few times where I missed something in a scene and had to use the strategy guide to figure out what it was. I could have used the hint but I don't like to in this kind of game.
The mini-games were awesome!! Challenging and fun!!
Graphics were very detailed drawings that added to the atmosphere of the setting of the game. In other words, great!
Storyline kept my interest and intrigued me to continue playing to find out what the true story was behind the murders of this family so many years ago.
A winning game that I am sure I will replay again sometime.
The screen would not play widescreen on my computer but that was a minor detractor from the game play.
I highly recommend this game even with all the newer games out there. It is fun to play!
I recommend this game!

If you do not like games with voodoo in them, you will not like this game at all. I am not a fan of this genre and wish there were less of them and more good mystery stories without all the ghosts/witches/demons etc. However, as far as the story itself goes, it did keep my interest. Which is a good thing because there was a lot of talking in the game. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I did not think the voice overs were that bad. I thought they were interesting to listen to.
I just spent the day playing the game and it was a decent length.
There were some fun mini-games that I enjoyed and the H.O.s I thought were very entertaining. It was easy to navigate through the game and I didn't miss not having a map at all which I usually rely heavily on in most recent games. I remembered where an item needed to be used 90% of the time as soon as I collected it. (The inventory was not overloaded)
I got the game on a deal of the day and I thought it was worth the $2.99 I paid for it.
I recommend this game!
