Once again there was nothing about the game that i didnt like. Like the other Shiver game: Poltergeist, the story was consistent all the way through, the HOS were not too cluttered and the hint system is good when not sure what to do next. Although not scary there are a couple of instances that could make you jump. All in all it is well worth the purchase.
Out of all the games ive played this has got to be my second favourite! I loved everything about the game. It has the spooky atmosphere with a background tune that also adds to the atmosphere. Im not going to say any more just that i throughly recommed that you buy the game and see for yourself!
The game starts off as a typical stormy night. The graphics are very good therefore the game is very clear. The HOS are clear and not over done. The puzzles vary which i was pleased to see though are quite easy. As there are plenty of tasks to do, hats off to the game designers for adding a task list to help out, very well thought of. The way the game is based to me is like a modern day cluedo and of course with a list of potential suspects.
Yet again another typical ghost story with that ever so well known curse. The game itself is ok......just to pass the time away but thats it. The HOS were pretty clear but i felt sometimes a bit too cluttered. The mini games were ok, but they were mostly jigsaw ones and didnt pose much of a challenge to the well seasoned gamer. The story line is like as i pointed out at the beginning.....your typical ghost story.
The game itself was really good and enjoyed it. However the ending could have been a bit more conclusive. Naturally as the hero(ine) you suceed but the ending could have been better. The HOS were quite easy and the different levels of puzzles made for an interesting play. The story was consistent throughout game play and all in all not bad at all.
After reading what others wrote in their review i gave the game a try. What i did find is that the game is nowhere near as scary as it made it out to be, but an OK choice of music and other ambiant sounds kept a certain atmosphere going. There was quite a bit tooing and froing which you get used to after a while. There is a variety of puzzles of different challenge levels and the HOS were very clear therefore making it easier to find things.
After a little apprehension i decided to buy the game and im pleased i did. The game is linear and there is not much going backwards and forwards. The storyline is consistant all the way through and the puzzles were not too hard either.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
