This starts off with you as a passenger on a disintegrating plane, & you come too, on an island all alone. This has very realistic sounds, & effects as you crunch through the undergrowth, following a map to various places in order to find HO items ( 1 of which always seems harder to find than all the rest!) in order to build items eg hut, temp. shelter, campfire etc & other items to survive. You have a diary which has not only your day to day experiences - in your search to see if there are any other inhabitants, but also the items you have to find to build with. There are photos that you also find & plenty of ! marks to give you a clue as to what or where you need to do, or be next. The hint is a magnifier, which is unusual to say the least - it is like a very fast watery effect, which took me a little while to get the gist of - you have to be quick! I have only struck 2 mini games in Demo, which are very varied - the 1st I really couldn't get the hang of (maybe my age!?) the 2nd was like a tropical Tetris type game. I am glad I don't have to survive on this island, as I would be exhausted with all the walking back & forth, but otherwise I really like this - like a breath of sea air!! :) If you like HO, a variety of mini games, a bit of adventure, mystery , literally building, then you should give this a go.
I love Popper games, & I liked this game, but it just didn't excite me as much as the other Reviewers. It is a cute, colourful game with power ups, trophies for things like 7 matches in a row, so many matches in a level & many others. There are obstacles to slow you down, also option to speed up, fill gaps etc You can also get bigger points for an extra life by getting larger chains, which you will need to work out the best way to achieve this - not hard. Mention of the need for the Forum always scares me off, so I nearly didn't try it, but during the demo I didn't see how there could be any need for the Forum visit - but maybe time will tell, as I bought the game. It is great for relaxing, before you go to bed & when you have a few moments to spare, for all the family
I love this puzzle It is beautiful, & @ the end of each puzzle the picture moves in such a way as to look 3D & waterfalls flow etc. The music is pleasant & suits the subject, although there doesn't seem to be much of a story, but it is a jigsaw puzzle. The pieces of puzzle move around the edge for you to select, & sometimes, depending on the picture are a bit hard to see clearly, but my eyes are getting old :) but I could still manage! Just to add variety, there are pieces that are blocked until the end, but also some pieces when placed on a ? badge twinkle for your next move & then magnetically slide in. This is such a nice place to escape to, especially if you like puzzles. I don't think it is for youngsters, but they would love the pictures when completed Do try it & judge for yourself - everyone is different in their opinions, & sometimes it is just a mindset!
I just love this game, have been playing for a long time & still haven't completed it, thank goodness! It is colourful, has many challenges, all shooting, & is soooo, satisfying to see & hear all the jugs explode, & then there are the bugs to shoot @ the end of a level for bonus points. You can go to the shop to arm yourself with extra help in the way of specially marked jugs that explode in different directions. There is something about the hiyah! or whatever it shouts when you do well, but it doesn't irritate ME! Optional costumes for Plumeboom (bird type unknown :) ) don't do anything except add variety, as far as I can tell. There are baskets to put matching jugs in, a spider that weaves webs, frozen jugs etc. Plenty of help @ beginning of each level. I have found that this game has improved my reflexes & observation & matching speed. This is the game I always go to , sometimes last thing @ night or when I only have a short time to fill in, apart from when I just want some colour & fun & cuteness. I also enjoy the other Plumeboom game, which is almost totally different - the golden path of .... It is such a nice & unexpected change to many other match 3s & other game genres
I have been playing this game for quite some time, & I love it. The graphics may appear fairly simple, but it doesn't matter. I like to play this to relax & unwind @ the end of the day. The family could play this, & it would help the kids with addition & being observant. You can play for quite some time, without running out of barrels, which you click on when you have made a match, so no mad rush. I won't say any more as mrm 2006 has done a good job of explaining
Everyone varies skill & opinion wise, so despite previous reviews finally decided to try it. The graphics are a bit hard to distinquish @ times as there are so many jewels or whatever they were, with patterns on them to add to the difficulty (in my humble opinion!!) but they were quite pleasant to look at, if nothing else. There is a scorpion as a time indicator. A bird that rises & that gives you some indication of how well you were doing as well as a score sheet to tell you how many points, matches you still have to get. There is an adventure mode you have to achieve before you can play other options eg arcade, puzzles. This is certainly different & a change from other match 3s, as you have to rotate jewels/spheres L or R to get match 4 & 3 etc, but you also get elements to help you eg fire etc & I think that is the only reason I got as far as I did in the trial. I must admit that I was ready to surrender, many times & was amazed @ how many points/levels I actually got to, (83,000) until I struck the puzzle level. I did succeed, but it nearly drove me mad - maybe I am toooo old, or something, & perhaps a younger mind may find this more enjoyable. It is certainly challenging. So give it a go, especially if you like a bit of a challenge, but sadly not for me - I did like the theme though, & the music was pleasant.
Due to the mixed bag of reviews - from 5 - 2 stars, I thought my goodness! can it be that bad ? I finally decided to see for myself, because sometimes games with bad reviews can be surprisingly enjoyable. The graphics were better then I expected, clear, & colourful. I quite enjoyed the peaceful, gentle ping or click with each match, & the music was quite pleasant, most of the time, & even stopped to give you a rest, but if not to your liking you could always turn it right down or off! It was very relaxing, in relax mode, & matches were easily made for a few levels, but as there were no exciting moments or explosions etc, I am afraid I now have a tendency to nod off, when all you seem to do is click never endingly, to achieve a few points/goals etc I will continue my trial game, but think in the interest of staying awake, will give it a miss @ the end. May recommend this for fresh beginners.
I read the reviews & was almost put off, but gave it a try. I am so glad I did, as I immediately realized it was a cousin to one of my favourite games - Aztec Venture. So if you have played that game, you will have a better understanding. Both games give you a lesson in history or in this case the fast disappearing wild life, mainly due to poachers. So in some levels, the animals are caged & are rescued by the end of the level. Each level gives you a new title Love this game! Pouring rain & lightning can add to the distraction/challenge
I was so excited to see this new game from "Always Neat" as I love their other games. I like the Asian/Mahjong/matching theme, collecting jade pearls, the variety of mini games & the designs of the tiles, stones etc, which you can choose., also the relaxed or timed versions. It is such a nice change from some other types of games & helps me to escape for a while. I certainly recommend this & the other 2 games, if you want lots of variety. ie memory, matching, even bingo type game etc along with mahjong option.
I always have mixed success with Solitaire, some are more enjoyable than others, but I really enjoyed this game, sort of reminded me of other burger/cake/store games, which was good, & different in the form of Solitaire. I got stuck awhile on a few levels, but eventually got past, otherwise the game flowed well. Also got up to 2nd store in demo. I liked the bonus - make a burger game, which suddenly appears for more bonus points, mid game. There are also lots of other bonus points scattered through out the levels, all aiming to get you more equipment in the store etc You can also play straight solitaire game option. The one thing I missed (espec. when ONE card remains!) :) was an option for extra cards. You can shuffle & reverse, but I think that was all. I think it is well worth trying the demo.
