Well this game was a breath of fresh air so far. Have only done the free 1 hour but will purchase. Graphics and new ideas compare with Royal Envoy , one of the earlier games that I compare most others with. It has one of the best things that a good Time Management game should always have - you do not have a fixed order in which to do things that some other games have as a defect. In this game you need to get a certain number of things done but not in any fixed order. You can decide when you start to make a factory or change the type of plant a field produces. You just have to find the optimum way to proceed.

I read some of the other bad reviews and wondered what they were on about. The game has similarities in gameplay to the Farm Frenzy series. However the difficulty of levels was all over the place. Levels 1-4 were just right but then camme 5, 6 and 7 . I could not get any stars on 6 or 7 and still trying to gt more than 2 stars on 5. Then levels 8-10 were so easy that I had lots of green bar left over before losing the third star. I would suggest to the developers to update this and provide a little more time for 5-7, 17-19, 22-25 and many more levels where I could not get even one star. A well designed game with the right amount of difficulty , you should be able to get 2 stars fairly easy and 3 stars with a little more effort and only one ofr two mistakes, but to play for 20 minutes on a a level and fail to get a star is demoralising. It makes probably the majority of general players wary of buying future efforts from this company. One thing is that you can play easy levels over and over to gain stars which can then be used to gain some advantages they may just help you over the line,

This series are gems among many so so games.
Hero of the Kingdom 1 (HOK1) was released in December 2012, HOK2 released in March 2015 (three years in the making) HOK3 relleased Mar 2019 (4 years )
and now
HOK Lost Tales 1 released July 2020 ( just over a year - I hope this is a sign of more things to come.)
Thankfully the gameplay remains much the same in each of the series - perform tasks , make money , gain reputation. The story changes but the mechanics are the same . Just when you think that you can't find the last object , after doing another task the desired object appears. The only thing I would suggest is that revisits to a particular area produces a new lot of items. You can go to an area and remove all the mushrooms but when you return later no new mushrooms have grown - come on now , we all know that mushrooms are recurring - they just need a little bit of rain to renew. I hope this developer keeps producing more of these games and look forward to the series getting up to 10 or so .

Somehow I missed this game when it came out. Came across it while searching through Time Management , Strategy and Adventure games . (I don't know why there are so many Hidden object games included in Strategt and Adventure - took me three days to slowly work through the listings). Anyway just as in Fairy Godmother Tycoon (FGT) you have things to sell and you buy these at in this case a set price but can set the sellling price. You can speed up the play and watch the numbers of people that are happy, can't get their flower or find it too expensive. You can buy upgrades to improve your sale speed (same as better potion makers in FGT) . It is not as humorous as FGT and when in play you don't get to see the other stands and their queues as in FGT. All in all very happy with the game - lots of tables and graphs to show how you are progressing.

Initially I was distracted by the odd shapes and the busy scene, but after a period of playing I was able to concentrate on what was important and ignore the flying butterflies, birds , nodding camels, wandering people and caravans running through the scenes. It has paths to follow like many other games but they are not fixed lines and you can can choose alternative paths just as in Royal Envoy to which I compare all TM games. This allows you many alternative strategies to complete the game in three gold star time which makes it worth while playing over and over in that search to find the elusive best time. This is how the best TM games operate. Looking forward to many future games perhaps based on Incas, or Aztecs or a world wide story line.

Was very excited that this was one of the familiar gameplays like Gnomes Garden. Then found that you only have two modes - unlimited and very difficult and when you run out of time you are forced to restart rather than play on to see how it finishes. This was a no buy for me. Went back and played the first Gnomes garden and it only had one level and very easy and does not run out of time. Games that run out of time are not worth playing.

When I saw this game I was reminded of Landgrabbers a similar game but much more accomplished in style and graphics. If others have trouble with this game play Landgrabbers for 30 minutes and you will get the gameplay. Each building you own generates people (fast reproduction) up to the maximum that building can hold. You drag your men from one building to another to either reinforce numbers there if you own that building or to attack if it is neutral or owned by an opposing army. It differs from land grabbers in that you must own all buildings to win whereas Landgrabbers you only have to defeat the enemy. It can be an exciting race between the number of men you can send to the building, the rate of reproduction and the rate at which you can destroy the enemy forces. I have posted this review because of the low reviews given by others unaware of the game play. Hopefully more will give it time and perhaps a better review.

I don't know how I missed this one when it first came out, or was it one of those secret admissions? After playing 20 minutes and 5 levels I had to buy it. It reminds me of some of the Dungeons and Dragons games that were so popular long ago. Your character gains experience points through fulfilling tasks and gets better at doing things, learns spells, can shape shift. Initially I tried to get the gold, but soon was lost in the variety of things that can be done. Bonus you don't have to start over when you run out of timeas it continues as long as you like so that acts as a relaxed mode for slow gamers. I may not get gold but I don't care. It is so much fun. It allows you do actions in a different order which is one of the bonuses in good time management games, so there are a number of different ways to complete the game and add to that the use of the potions/ spells and different characters and upgrades and you have a game that is re-playable many times to improve your time . I like good time management games that make you think and HOGs for relaxation and training observation.
This game is a dead loss for me. It is frustrating to have to give gifts to tenants to make them stay. Have read the reviews and walkthroughs on other sites and it is no real help. Because I cannot complete one level in enough time the rest of the game is unavailable to me. This is a bad premise for any game, especially ones requiring some dexterity. Unfortunately I did not read other reviews here before purchasing what looked like an easy TM game from the beginning couple of levels.

Finished the game with ll levels 3 stars with a bit of help from the forums. I love the way information is displayed in the map: Levels clearly identified, number of times played that level, last time and best time and last score and best score. So many of these games forget about identifying levels so people can ask for help. I also loved the way the level could be completed in different ways rather than in one way only. You had to decide whether to go for extra food early by building more cafes or extra wood. I found different levels a completely new learning experience and delightfully so. THis means that you can reply the levels in many different ways searching for that way that wil give the best time, or most rewards.
