I give a 4, (4.5 if there was) I reserve 5 for super great. Excellent graphics, great story, no interactive HOS but is compensated by it's length. Mostly easy, which I like, I didn't need the walkthrough hints were good enough and not long.
I give it 4 stars, still a very good rating. I really liked the first Shiver Vanishing Hitchhiker, this one followed ok. Decent story, decent graphics not exceptionnal, had fun playing it, long enough, but a lot of little things wrong. On the down side: - The game often 'froze' on me often, but I could restart the game and get back to the same place. Although annoying didn't keep me from playing, as I wanted to know the end of course. - Objects needed to be joined in inventory so they joined themselves, I wanted to chose and do it. - Things unfinished in the end, guess it's in the CE, or cliff hanger for a next Shiver. On the good: - I liked the butler's voice over, seems like an actor I know, maybe Peter O'Toole. - Rendered poltergeist idea ok, things got thrown around, lots of fires - Interaction in the HO scenes
An adventure game, no HO scenes. I like HO's but to me they are mini games. Reminds me of Kuros, Milennium Secrets, Hotel by Cateia Not the really nice super quality of ERS Games and other developpers, not excellent but good enough to have a pleasant game experience.
I Beta'd this game yesterday, it's out today... This review based on the SneekPeek/Demo. Gave good feedback, no problems, a HOPA, good graphics, good puzzles, mini games. I liked the video cut scenes with real people in it, voice overs. Story kept me intrigued, although more of the same 'rescue kidnapped victim from a dark sect in a mansion'. My only possible negative it might be short. Got through 1 and some chapters in less than an hour and I'm usually slow. I looked at the walkthrough and there seems to be not much more, 4 chapters. I recommend but short.
Rescue a young girl from the Penumbra Motel. Solve puzzles, unravel a long standing mystery of death and disappearances in this heart-pounding adventure game!
I was pleasantly surprised, I didn't expect that much. Some may call it a pure Adventure but you still look for things so I call it a HOPA with no HO scenes. That's fine by me, I like HO scenes just not that much. The game is long, full of puzzles, some mini games. Reminds me of Nightmare Adventures - The Witch's Prison.
I recommend this game!

Great game, great graphics, good puzzles, good gameplay, original mini games, long enough, good original pirate and ghost story. I love pirate stories, love deep sea games.
ERS Games are almost always a buy for me. Good game, good graphics, good puzzles, good gameplay, original mini games, long enough, not so good hint system just says 'Nothing to do here', well at least that, story is a bit fairy talish prince and princess stuff but readable. Gave it 5 stars cause it was so much fun to play. Almost gave it 4 stars because of the Prince and Princess theme.
