I was really looking forward to playing this game, but the areas of interest are a total bummer.
Upon opening an area of interest, one is immediately told that this or that won't work, will have to try something else and the like, before any action has even been contemplated or any items have been found with which to take action.
Very frustrating. Not for me.
I don't recommend this game.

Dunno, it may be just me but this episode didn't thrill me.
I was sort of surprised to see that Felicia is no longer part of the story, but her minion is still there, which is sort of off-putting. What is that creepy little minion without its creepy Felicia?
Paris is cool, but the storyline doesn't explain how we got from the former machinations of our familiar twisted villain to lightning + puppets + kidnappings in that lovely city halfway across the world from games 1 through 4.
Not very challenging, nonsensical and illogical, nah, not my usual instant puppet buy.
I don't recommend this game.

I am surprised the game has so many stars as my opinions are usually the same as the majority.
The dang cat doesn't leave you alone to play the game, is in your face all the time telling you what to do and inserting its comments, and that's clicking on the difficult level. Heaven knows what it's like for the easy level. Unless by some quirk of fate I got the easy level whether I wanted it or not.
I'm a cat person, love my beasties. But IMHO, this cat needs to be put down along with what could have been a fun game.
I don't recommend this game.

My goodness. I was totally sold within the first couple of minutes.
Can't really tell you anything about the sound, had it turned off so I could listen to the news. Yes, well, I had to replay the news because the game grabbed my focus.
There's a lot to do, nearly as many tasks to remember as in Crooked Man/Crooked Cat. The interactive map is great, no delay in jumping from scene to scene. All the scene loads are instant.
Can't say enough good stuff about this game. I'm buying it on the next paycheck, and that's only because I can't be late on the electric bill. :D
I recommend this game!

Wow. I was pleasantly surprised during the demo and things only got better after purchase. A good buy for sure. Warning! Do not play this game while you are cooking dinner. It begs just one more move before getting up to check the stove.
The game has all the qualities of a Collector's Edition (CE). IMHO, the $6,99 games, while a lot of fun, are usually short and not terribly complex with few locations. This one is just the opposite. Lots of locations, puzzles and logic requirements, but not so difficult that the hint button is required except during a senior moment. And like a CE, the map shows you places where actions can be performed.
Excellent graphics. I am currently without sound, so can't comment, and I seldom pay attention to the story line. In this case, the game is so good that sound and story line are only incidental to the joy of playing it.
I recommend this game!

I sincerely hope the developers of Shaban make more like this. Playing is a delight all the way through.
Finding parts in hidden object scenes was made a lot of fun because sometimes the completed object has to be used on a creatures that jumps around, hiding behind this or that until it reaches a spot where you can use the object on it.
I only had to use a skip once in a mini-game because my hand wouldn't let me move and click the mouse quite fast enough at the end of it.
I enjoy games like this that force you to come up with interesting solutions to save the day, but some require mouse agility I just don't have anymore. Other than the one mini-game, no fast mouse movements and clicks are required.
The cartooning is great. It's a style we've seen before in this type of puzzle game.
Terrific break from the Adventure HOGs and the Dark and Eerie.
I recommend this game!

I dumped the demo after about 20 minutes, if that.
I was prepared to enjoy the game but became very uncomfortable very quickly. It's as if entire scenes and sequences were deleted from the game play.
In the first scene, someone is delivering a package to a front door on a dark, rainy nightPOOF! We are have now assembled an interesting looking machinePOOF! We are now in a different world in which some stupid professor is the genius of the obvious. He tells us we must make repairs to whatever in this world, which is apparently his.
A popup appears showing the menu icon with "This is the menu button" written above it. Well doh - the menu icon is a box that says MENU. The same information is provided by popup for the hint button, which is a box that says HINT.
Mini games are pathetically easy; so easy in fact that you may not even have a chance to start or finish one before a successful result ensues. Huhn? What?
Other than kudos to the artist(s), I have absolutely no idea what the devs were thinking or how this semi game ended up for sale on Big Fish.
The game is simply no good, even for a Beginner.
I don't recommend this game.

I was excited to see the release of another Phantasmat, having enjoyed the last one very much.
But, alas, this one annoyed me beyond belief. The scenes are rife with pop up question marks that do nothing but create the animation of an object - or not - lending absolutely nothing to the story line or overall puzzle of the game. Every now and again one will provide a required action to move along through the game, but 95% of them are of no use whatsoever other than to frustrate the player.
A single scene may contain as many as 10 of these ?'s.
I will not be buying this game. It will only wear out my mouse battery.
I don't recommend this game.

Great for newbies or younger players on the Casual setting, interesting on the Advanced. I didn't play Hard. Depending on your level of experience, I recommend this game.
As usual, one must find keys and play mini puzzles in one scene to obtain tools to use in another scene. The graphics are excellent and clear. The storyline may be interesting, but is merely an adjunct to the game and not informative so I skipped it to get back to game play.
I can see that some would be put off by the Hidden Object style which requires placing objects in appropriate places in the scenes BUT if you find the style challenging and interesting, this game is for you.
I played the demo on Advanced (or whatever is between casual and hard) and enjoyed my hour. Hard might even be more fun.
It's certainly not the most difficult game I've ever played; it falls more under the category of light entertainment for an expert but great fun for the new or younger set.
