Challenging, but still fun to play. You really need to think very hard about your strategy at each level to get 3 stars. I would like to see more games like that. Time management games can get very boring if too easy, or very frustrating if you can't get 3 stars. This one has the right balance. It has a fair amount of funny monsters and different kind of challenges and obstacles, as well, so you don't get bored.
I really miss games like this one. I have bought it years ago and never played it until now. How things have changed in the game universe! There is rarely a game nowadays that's interesting enough and worth the time, effort and money.
The story looked very promising, but the game was very disappointing. Stopped playing after 15 minutes, after entering the second scene. This is the round up: Graphics are horrible. I had to skip one mini game (out of 2) because I didn't understand the rules. I had to use hint twice to be able to proceed. When the first HOP appeared, I've lost my courage. I should never had bought this game without trying it first.

I don't know what is going on, Big Fish, but your games aren't up to it lately. I have almost stopped buying the puzzle/hidden object games because I get bored instantly - just find a shaped object and then find a hole for it. The storytelling suck, the level of challenge as well. I really miss the old times with winners like The Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull, The Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, The Margrave series etc. I have been playing the old goodies for a while now. The only hope left for me were the time management games, like Moai or the game in question. The problem is that they are to easy (Moai) or too difficult, like this one. I don't know, maybe I am doing something wrong. The last installment was difficult to win with 3 stars, this one is impossible. It just makes you go off it, really.
Elephant Games was my favorite game developer, I made sure to buy all the collector’s editions I could. Now I’ve gone off them completely. All the games I’ve bought lately essentially consist of three elements: 1. Find the key for the lock; 2. Find the shape to fill the slot; 3. Find matching pairs of runes. It literally puts me to sleep. I’ve started using hints after one hour of game play (after the free trial has finished, I guess) for almost every move I made, I skipped a lot of puzzles and I was basically waiting for the suffering to end.
What a disappointment! I am not sure, though, if only Elephant Games is to blame, maybe the producer Big Fish Games as well?

There is nothing revolutionary in this game, but it was a pleasure to play it, considering the diminishing quality of games in general. The graphics might not be state of the art, but the music is beautiful and the story line coherent and enticing. I was never bored, not for a single moment.

This is one of my favorite game series and I am sorry to see it spoiled. The story line is a bit vague, but OK. The sounds and the graphics are of very high quality, the game has the familiar feel I like so much (achievements etc.). But I was very frustrated by the fact that 80 % of action consisted of putting different shapes into holes on boxes. It is a sad thing to witness. I find that the quality of the games in general is diminishing rapidly. Reducing costs, I suppose. The HOPs are OK, but the puzzles are either too easy or to challenging/annoying. While playing the bonus chapter, I was just waiting for the game to end. I can't give it worse marks because it's still a good game compared to the current choice.

I've stopped playing this game after an hour, even though I have bought it without trying it out first. The storyline is non-existent. The game is full of cheap HOSs and annoying puzzles. The player has to search for different forms, figures, curves and objects most of the time. It's obvious that the developer tried to cut down costs.
I simply love this game. It's not too difficult, it's true, but with the achievements one has more strategy options to play. I hate games where there is no chance of gold if you don't spend days or weeks playing the same old level. I don't have enough time for that.
The story is great, with a bit of humour thrown in. Everything is big enough to see what is actually going on.
New Yankee 2 is even better than the first one, whit more funny characters. I can only hope the sequel no. 3 is coming out soon!
I had the chance to test this game before it was released and I've bought it right away now. Some people complain that the developers have lost their touch, but I do not agree. It's true that their games are more or less along the same lines as far graphics and everything else is concerned, but why change it if it works? At least, it works for me. And there is always something innovative and creative there, a new kind of puzzle or a twist in the storyline.
I LOVED this game because there are no HOS. It’s crammed with puzzles and mini-games. They are not too difficult, but they keep your brain working all the time. Pure joy!
The story is thrilling and there is an internal logic to everything one must do. Some of the scenes might be gruesome, as some reviewers say, but there is beautiful scenery and relaxing music too, with cute animals to boot. I couldn’t wish for more. The bonus game in the CE version is quite lengthy, definitely worth the money.
