ND goes to France to solve a mystery! Actually I don't really understand the mystery behind it. The real mystery in the game itself doesn't connect with the storyline. Again, I don't like games with war setting and the like. In this game, ND meets people from different nationalities: French, German, Australian,... but there is not much interaction with them. Basically ND (you) is given chores to do, and she has to finish them to continue to other stage. ND is in Paris, but there's nothing much to see, there's no visit or any tiny glimpse of Eiffel Tower. Good thing is, you learn a bit of French and its cuisine, probably the best part of this game. If you are a diehard ND fan, you should have this game. If not, probably better to skip it or wait for a sale.

This is a classic ND game and one of its best. The setting is creepy. I first played it back in college, the CD has broken since then, and luckily BFG sells this and I quickly bought it. I love the storyline, and the dogs are actually pretty cute! If you're a mystery fan, whether or not you like Nancy Drew, you should give this game a try.

I took a risk buying this game because I didn't really like the demo. There are live actors but when they talk, they use drawn graphics, which makes them look kind of weird, because the mouth movements don't match, they look like creepy dolls. The setting of the game is huge, there are tons of places to explore, which are great, if only there is MAP. there is none, and you go backtracking everytime just to find one item, go back again to use that item, go backwards 5 times just to play a HOS and then go back again to use that item... it's getting frustrating. I don't like the game style of zooming into the scene, every time, which makes me headache. It doesn't have to be too over the top.
But, I like the idea of having a murder mystery in a movie set, it doesn't happen often among games filled with asylum, hospitals, etc.
I took a risk buying this game despite hating the demo, although there are tons of backtracking, I think this game is saved by beautiful graphics and the storyline. If you dont mind going around the set, play this game^^

I was not very convinced with this game when I tried this on demo, the graphic is awesome but the mouse is draggish. I took a risk by buying the game during the CE sale a few weeks back, and boy, I was so happy that I did. This game is super amazing! I think this is one of the best games I have ever played, alongside MCF: 13 Skulls and Phantom of the Opera which are my top faves. This one, is so great in storyline, graphics, and I especially love the rooster! I didn't know there will be two different ending and I feel bad that I can't find out what happen if I choose the other one. I love it that the map is interactive, there are lots of places to explore and each is so wonderfully drawn. There's only one drawback, however: the CE bonus gameplay is very very short in my opinion. It should have been longer. Just that one point and this game will be flawless. Needless to say, this game is a must-buy, definitely.

I bought this game because I love their previous installment, the Macabre Mysteries (MM). And I love anything fabled turned into games. But unfortunately this is not as interesting as the MM. First it started interesting, but then you get to discover who is the Dark Piper quite quickly in the game, and practically after that you have to chase the culprit. I prefer to know the culprit at the end and gives more sense of thrilling of finding out who the real criminal is. There is some point where we have to kill people, which I don't like. We are detective, not a judge who can decide the bad people's fates. There is few mini games in this game which I like, and the items in the HOSs are easy to find but I dont like it that we can choose several items when we have to pair ups and basically those things are not even on the list. It is frustrating that we can pick up objects that are not useful to pair up. The map also not interactive while we have to go back and forth all the time. These are the downsides. The bonus chapter, I don't really see the point. The good thing is, there are lots of extra contents in this CE, although it can only be accessed until even after the bonus chapter is completed. I hope their next game is better.

I would consider this game as a classic, and I think this is the first game of ND where she travels overseas. I like games set in UK or Ireland, my mind goes to 'medieval'. And this is what the game offers. Nancy stays in a old manor on the moor and tries to figure out what happens to Linda, who, as the game progress, suggested that she might turns into werewolf. I like the game throughout, and there're quite a few creepy scenes, one drawback that I don't like is the ending, as there is no fighting back with the culprit. Feels like it ends just like that. Could have been a better ending to finish a great game.

First I am not that convinced to buy this game, the storyline seems like a cross between Pinocchio and PuppetShow series, but I decided to give it a try, especially with the CE sale last week, and I have to admit that even though it is a bit similar, the game flows very nicely, with awesome graphics and easy to manage puzzles. The bonus content is very generous, and there're a lot of soundtracks to save. I really enjoy this game and didn't regret purchasing it. One of the best buy I have this month.

I began to start feeling that the developer cares more on Nancy being in tourist destinations that making a great game like their classics. Almost all of ND's games taken place abroad fall flat and this one, although taken in Hawaii is no exception. The characters are not likeable, even the Hardys, which look so much different than they are in Last Train to Bluemoon Canyon. We only met them once. There's this scientist that always screams and a big guy who does nothing but advertises himself. Basically conversation is minimal. You switch back and forth from Nancy to the Hardys (mostly Frank), and sadly Frank is the one who gets all the action.
There is no scare factor at this game. All you do are sorting frass, fertilizing plants, fishing lots and lots of fish and collecting shells. All are for getting big island bucks. There is very little snooping, finding clues, there's no mystery.
One good thing is that the background is great, the ocean looks very serene and nice, and the jungle looks real. But that's all I could praise on this game.
Finally, the game is very short. After collecting lots of shells, you finally find the culprit and then you will learn what's going on. Everything is thrown at once without Nancy even finding the truth herself.

This game is a classic but sadly not my favorite. I find this game length is wayyy too short, there is very less excitement and scare factor and you basically can't go anywhere but clicking on the map. I got so bored talking to Miles the Memory Machine, he just keeps on talking with no tone. Very boring. The ending ends very quickly with almost no fighting from Nancy. Sadly, again, not my favorite.

When I first see the preview of this game, I was excited. I thought this will be similar to Curse of Blackmoor Manor, ND visiting old castle in Ireland, and it all started so well, with reported banshee, but then I kind of like 'what?' when 'World War II' came to conversation. It's not good to combine both as it is like scientific meets local legend, it doesnt mix. Everything from graphic to sound is great in this game, but the storyline as it progressed doesn't make much sense. Sorry, HER Interactive, the Blackmoor Manor is wayyy better than this one.
