I played a bit of the first one that I own in order to compare them. I have played the first one many times and enjoyed it. Didn't get the second one - too much like first. I downloaded this one with hopes to get another one like the first. WRONG. It was bad. Too much talking. Can't remove hints. Didn't understand donkey. Why did they change a good game to this.
I pity anyone who has never played a Jewel Match game. There are no good instructions, Good thing I have played others, but I had to play a board or 2 to remember some of the things. This game should have a help area that you can look at to give you info as you play the game. Not that tutorial section. There are new items that info would be worthwhile for any one even to refer the game.
I played about 20 minutes and I am not sure about this game. I always wait for the Christmas games and enjoy them. This one not as much. One reviewer that said that the helper was distracting is very true. Smaller and quieter would be less of a distraction. The game play is very confusing and the guide is no help at all. It shows things that I never saw or did. Guide showed several pictures that you were supposed to choose one. I never saw that the but things I have already done are shown. There is something missing. I don't know if it is the game itself or the story is mixed up. I may get the SE. I don't feel that myself is this is a game I really want.
I love Cursed house and was told that Laruaville was the same. Having never played it I checked it out. Well it is to a point. Both have cannons (check), need fire to change coins to gold (check), and 2 mini games (check), build / make something - town / amulet (check) but that is about it. Laruaville has cute ghosts that are cartoon like and say things plus there is a cute rainbow at the end. All the things as child would love. As an adult there was no challenge. Do one thing and the whole game will finish itself. No thinking involved. I did finish the game and deleted it. I will never play it again.
I thought another Jewel Quest game. WOW. I love them. But I checked the download to make sure I had gotten the right game. I had, but this is not a Jewel Quest game. Pretty colors. A building to build but nothing else to make it a game I would call Jewel Quest. It felt like any other match3 game.
Because I loved the earlier Alice games I bought this one. It ran fine until it go the the slow moving charcters. The looked like they were running with thru mud. Even the speed bonus didn't really make a difference. They didn't even move as fast as they normally would. Try to get 3 stars on those levels. GOOD LUCK !!!!!
I knew that this was an older game but sometimes older games don't have all the bells and whistles that new games haves so they are more enjoyable. I was enjoying it until I realized NO RELAXED !!!!! This really an old game since developers have learned that there are people who want to play that game, but don't need high blood presursue while playing. I don't so I deleted it. Too bad it was a fun game.
First off I loved the game. I admit some things stretched the thoughts - mail truck that empty ??? The other thing that bothered my that at the end the the little girl is thrilled to receive the doll and reaches for her, but did you notice that Bitsy had it's arms outstretched too. How hard would it had to say that she also bought along a friend as a Christmas gift too.

I thought this game looked interesting, but it wasn't. It was boring. I made it thru level 12 and was falling asleep. This game is the same as Queen's Garden. If you didn't like that one you will not like this one it is the same type of play. Did I say Boring !!!!!!!
First glance it looks like something a child might play but don't think so. First all the pieces move on a diagonally. Quite a change from the usual way a m3 is played. There is 3 levels of play - relaxed, classic (timed) and duel (play against the computer). There is a story, but it is really nothing. I played relaxed just to get used of way the pieces moved plus I only play any game that way. There are boxes of different color squares. You must make a match that included that color. Later on you not only have to do that but there are chained pieces. First pass thru the game you only have to clear color blocks and chained pieces. You get awards. For what I don't know. The second pass thur the game you not only have to clear blocks, chains, but make every square qreen. Don't know if there is a third pass yet. There is only the game curser. I would play the relaxed until you get used to how the pieces move. It looks simple and it is slow moving but with the diagonial pieces you really have to think to get the pieces to where you want them. I get social security so you can guess my age so this game suited me. But check it out yourself.
