This is a pretty fun game regardless of the negative things about it. However, the story is simple.
You are a promising painter that can correct the mistakes in older paintings. So, you are hired by different clients to fix on those paintings.
So, the challenge of this game is okay. The stuff are hard to find sometimes, and the translations of a few of the items are pretty much off. For example, it could be asking you a spool of yarn, and the thing you have to pick up is a spool of thread. Those two items are totally different. So, you might end up clicking senselessly til you get the right item.
Visual and Sound of the game is bad. Actually, I can say there is no music at all. I think one way that would beef up the game is if they added some classical music. Since most of the paintings you are correcting kinda range around the classical, baroque, romantic, and other past periods I can think of.
Fun factor of the game is pretty dull, but I had to say this. The game is a good time waster. If you need a break from those hard core puzzle hidden object games. This game is just for you. Not only that it tries to mix it up. If you do a really good job, the painting is added to your gallery.
Overall, a lot of improvement is needed in this game. I will give my honest opinion that this game is a 2 star game. A lot could of been done to make it better.
I had to say this. I use to be a fan of the Awakening series... til I played the forsaken fourth one. Furthermore, it got worse on the 5th game. Nothing was improved from it's earlier versions. But, I would like to get to the basics.
Storyline: I had to say this. I cared about the story in the first 3 games. When I played this game, it had the same aura as the 4th. The story felt rushed, the adventure was boring. I don't care for sophia's story anymore. I debated many times with my own sister to continue playing it or not. There were very few elements I enjoyed in the story. However, they were not the main focus of the story.
Level of Challenge: The game HAD NO balance. Furthermore, what made the puzzles hard was the lack of understanding on how to solve it. They done this in the 3rd game, and 4th game. The puzzles were either too easy to the point of just a few clicks to magically solve, to not understanding the puzzle itself. It got on my nerves in the last 2 games. I forgave it in 1 and 2 of awakening because it was new. Now, it annoyed me.
Visual and Quality: The visual quality was equal to it's earlier versions. I had to say, "If this is their style, it's okay for the game. However, it would be nice if they upgraded a bit more with every version like Drawn." I don't mind keeping the same style. It does need an upgrade though to keep it fresh. The sound was decent.
Fun Factor: I was completely bored in all honesty. Not even my sis was interested in watching me play this. I had no care to finish off this story, and the mistakes were just slapped at me in the face.
Overall, I had to give this game a 2 star. I will only get this game if it was free, and I never really loved the game enough to get the collector editions. So, I would no longer contribute to the awakening games. For all those who never played the awakening series, go play the first 3. They were indeed the best versions of the game with at least more care than the last 2.
This is one of the fewer princess games I love. This is a must have in your collection.
The story starts out really simply. You were rescued by your nanny from the amber maiden's assult on the kingdom. While in a desperate escape through the portal she raised you as her own for How do I say this 18 years... Now that you're old enough, It's time for you to take back your kingdom and save it from the Amber Maiden. Though the story is strong, it did feel a bit rushed when you get to later in the game. You'll see it once you play, but it's not a bad thing.
Level of Challenge however is pretty good. I did run into some brain scratchers here and there. However, it's not entirely too hard that you cannot enjoy it. There as some flaws with the hidden object items as to some are extremely difficult to see. Overall, it's pretty good.
Sound and Visuals is very nice. Becareful if you possess a computer that cannot handle the video. The video will lag on you. It's best to turn the visuals down if possible. However the animation is top notch from the owl leading the way to the Amber witch appearance when you approached the castle.
Last thing is the fun Factor. This game is excellent in the fun, and not slow moving either. This game is equal to your own pace and the characters are enjoyable to talk to and helpful. Overall, the game is equally fun for any gender.

Kitty's Thoughts: Eternal Maze of Frustration is More Like it.
If you played the first game, by all means it has not improved. The highest I would like to discuss is the graphics. Even though it's very nice... I kinda get bored when I feel like I am looking at the same backgrounds too much. However, looking nice doesn't make up for the terrible level of challenge or fun. As far as you see, things are very hard to see in this game. I didn't mind it in the first game because atleast your scenery changes from one place to the next. However, there are some things that have blended all too well. I don't even wear glasses and I feel like I need them to see in this game. However, this drags the fun factor down a lot. If you are looking for a game with more fun, you might as well look the other way. I strongly suggest the orignal first 1 over the second one. Regardless, that it has similar problems... atleast it's not down right boring. The story on the other foot is interesting, but I really don't care to play anymore to even finish the strory, I really just don't have the time and I work a lot.
Omg! After playing this game, I had to get the collector edition. This game is messed up (in a good way I mean). No Detective game I've played pulled it anywhere close to this game. I mean... OMG!
The thing I have to start off is the storyline. This story totally gives you a 180 degree turn from the start. You realized that the organ grinder is selling these fortune cards for a penny (Note to self: Never pay a penny for a fortune). However, these cards turn out to be unfortunate cards that causes damnation to the one who holds it. I can't spoil anymore about it. This game you have to play for the rest.
The level of Challenge is pretty good. I find some puzzles brain scratches while others were pretty simple, but in a balance since. They scatter out the difficulty which gives the game a bit of freshness as you go forward. You might run into a mini game that might take you a couple of tries. Overall, it was quite enjoyable.
The look of this game is really good, and matches the mood of the game. This is where visuals actually enhance the game than being a plus for a game. It's not really great, in some areas, but the darkness, aura, and music just sometimes make you jolt when you run into a stressing situation. You'll run into a lot of stressful situations.
Overall, I found this game really fun from collecting the cards, to putting the case all together. You also realize that you start questioning about this case your working on. I mean you might even find yourself rooting for the organ grinder in a few cases. Some of them you might say, "Yeah this guy has gone too far." Overall, it's you to decide I hope your detective moral on justice is strong. This game definitely tests it out.
Wow, I gave this game 2 chances and it still hasn't impressed me. 2 CHANCES. I never give a game that. I tell you for the people who made this game a 5 star, I guess any game is a hidden gem. However, I found this to be a fake quartz. Heck, not even that. Maybe it's a cracked crystal hidden in the garbage is more like it.
The think I would like to talk about first is the story. A war was happening in the past against the nine for the artifact. They used this artifact to summon a legion of dark creatures to help them fight yet they couldn't seal them back without an amulet.......... Wait, you're suppose to be this secret society and yet you called upon something that you can't even stop. I would be more interested if the amulet went missing or someone in the nine betrayed them, but that has to be the most lousiest reason.
Another thing I would like to talk about is the difficulty is soo off balance. I mean I don't mind hard, but the problem is that it's tediously hard. I mean I hate tedious puzzles. especially a line of them. Tedious games are mini games or games that require you to guess soo many times without proper directions on how to solve them. Note: You can be spending hours trying to solve it to the point that you get either frustrated or quit. I only have a limited time to play. When it comes to judging whether to play the game to spend hours solving one puzzle, I'd rather do something else like walking. To make a game challenging doesn't have to be tedious.
The one highest thing I had to say is the visuals. I think this maybe the only positive thing I have to say about the game. I like the music, the voices are okay to be the least. However, after playing soo many other games with intriguing. However, visuals don't make the game if it is not fun.
This is probably the second of the lowest. I don't find this game at all any fun. I don't feel shocked when I saw the spirit and the game is soo dull... That even when I saw the red spirit behind the whole in the wall... sure I flinched.... but nothing even set me up. So I was like... Oh look! and evil spirit is watching me. I was soo phased out and bored from the game from the get go.
This is a well lesson to learn. Never trust a game that is highly hyped. Always try the game out yourself. I have played soo many games that was hyped and not truly 5 star games. This is one of them. I really hate finding cracked crystals.
A long-forgotten artifact has just resurfaced, and the race to claim it will cause a devastating war. The only thing strong enough to stop it is one woman’s promise to the man she loves.
I was a little iffy about playing the games made from this company, because one of the games in that collector list I didn't like. However, I gave this one a chance.
Well, on the story note, you're honey bun... ahem I mean man left you for an ancient secret. Which, I am guessing he doesn't want you to get involved. However, he got kidnapped by this shadow like creature. Now, you are traveling on your way to investigate what happened to your men. Only to realize you can't really hold to men that long because they are jumping through gates, kidnapped by shadow characters.... and even locked in by one at his house. What is this? Isn't there any female friends please??? Overall, the storyline is decent. It kinda feels like a predictable plot, but I can't resist HOG/Puzzles where you have to save a man.
Overall, the challenge in this game is pretty easy all the way through. I'm barely scratching my head. The only difficulty I find when solving the puzzles is if I missed one destination or forgot the original destination for the object. However, that does not scream difficult. Puzzles are extremely light hearted.
However, the Visuals and Sounds are descent. More could of been done for the look of it. However, I find the main character you play to be quite.... ugly in my standpoint. However, I overlooked that when I noticed her attitude. I love her my way attitude. She doesn't sound soo weak as well which makes her a fun character to play regardless of her look. For some reason, the guys look handsome.... every last one..... so why can't the girl. Overall, the look of the game does feel a little dull in some points.
In another standpoint, the Fun is this game is pretty good despite the level of challenge and the simple storyline. I'm sure there's more to it after the 45 minutes I played the game. This game for some reason does not scream collector edition. I kinda agree with everyone that this game is not exactly collector edition material. However I will still recommend this game for a standard edition to come. Well, I'm done for today.
One of the first and most weakest cases in the Dark Parable Series. So, Let's get started:
Storyline: The game starts out as your a poor detective... no car, no horse, you are at the castle on foot. The briars are spreading and you have to find a way to stop it's growth. As you adventure in the abandon kingdom someone in the mist is trying to stop you.... The only problem is... the enemy sees you and know your a threat.... however you can't see the enemy. This story pulls you in pretty good however.... if I was a real detective I would be thinking... why not put some weed killer.
Level of Challenge: This game does have you scracthing your brain a little while mapping through different rooms. There's not really a map, so make sure you have your mapping memory skills ready. You're gonna need it especially when you have to revisit some areas. The good thing is that the book will tell you where you need to search, so remember your surroundings really well.
Visuals and Sound Quality: The sound I had to say is much to be desired. I mean almost everything you click had the same rusty noise and some areas the sound is soo bland. Even music is not soo desirable. However, some scores are descent to listen to.
Fun factor:
Overall the game is okay, but there's much that needed to be dome with it before it becomes a great game.
You like paintings into other worlds. This is definitely a game you should try.
Storyline: I had to say this game pulls you in with a simple story and goal. You have to simply save your son from the evil wizard right? Well, unfortunately...., this guy doesn't make it easy because once you get into the world he's from every painting world is in peril and need your help. Sigh seems like everyone can't handle themselves without a mother's touch. Overall, regardless of predictability the story is good.
Level of Challenge:
This game has some pretty decent challenge. The puzzles are sometimes brain scratcher, however not too difficult that you want to pull your hair out. There's a numerous amount of activities that any level of player could enjoy. So this game is well rounded with the difficulty. The only negative part is if you turn it up to expert. It really doesn't make it harder. So, that's just a little heads up.
Visual and Sound Quality: The animation in this game is very top notch from each story you travel to. Except the extra painting doesn't have an animation that follows it. However, the animation does show when you finally finish it. Overall, the characters were also well done in this game as well.
Fun Factor: This game is highly fun for any age. Whether you get the CE or SE, you're gonna love it regardless. The gameplay overall is just fun and it's not heavily repetitive except how you finish the painting and starting it by cleaning it. It may seem repetative when it comes to the hidden object scenes. Overall, It's pretty decent.
I give this game a 5 out of 5. I just really love it and hope they pull out another sequel. However, it may never come to past. Enjoy the game while you can.

Kuros
When Katya awakens on Kuros, she finds a mysterious alien world teetering on the brink of destruction! Piece together her past!
This is one of my first hidden object games to brought me into casual gaming. So, here's my thoughts about it.
First! We're starting with the story line. You start out as young teenage female teleported on a mystical land that seems to be well... broken. During your request, you try to piece together this broken world and figure out who was the cause of it's demise. Even though it was simple, it pulled me in with some interesting yet comical characters.
Level of Challenge in this game is very easy though. To be warned, there is no hint button. However, this is a good game for beginners who want to get away from such things (that later games try to get you to use more). You have to deserve your hints by searching for two types of items during the game. However, there's only a limited number, so use them wisely.
However, the visual and sound quality is really good. Each place has it's own music and matches the mood of everything around you. Overall, it is really relaxing and almost meditative while playing. I didn't mind the limited animation because the voice overs were pretty good and matches each character very well. That's why I gave this mark the highest.
Overall, the fun in this game is really good. Regardless of the easy puzzling, the game offers a feel for beginners to get use to which is solving puzzles with limited hints. You can't skip any of them either. However, once you get use to it, you realized you may not need them.
In the end, I give this game a 4 out of 5 and recommend this game to any newbie who wants to get into hidden object games with puzzles.
