It's been a while, so I decided to visit an old classic from gogii games. Ahem! Let's begin
Eye Candy:
Even though it was quite old, the scenes are pretty catchy, but the majority of the scenes are way too blurry. There are times where the items itself is blurry which makes it hard to see things. Some visuals may catch your eye while others are like "No!". If it was cleaned a bit more, the game could be a bit more interesting to look at.
Atmosphere and Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is pretty fair and repetitive just like the levels. However, each level has it's own music, but that one soundtrack will repeat though the whole level til you get to the next one. Just like the scenes, some are catchy and some are not. You might also get annoyed of the sound effect.
Experience:
Where do I begin. Probably the most broken utensil added was the magnifying glass. I barely used it because it did 0 help making it closer. Fortunately, you can actually get through the game without using that mechanism. The hint button is okay, but the game itself is very repetitive. You find the pieces, get the item, place the item, and repeat is pretty much your game play. There is a puzzle here and there, but they barely scratch the noggin.
Story:
Well, you guessed it. It's one of those stupid mother stories. Basically, the whole run down is that you have to save your kids in return to fix the mirrors. However, it gets more complicated when you have to help the people in those worlds. So, I hope you got your handy self ready because this is going to be all your doing is helping. It lacks original drive, and I can see if you get bored of it.
Overall, I have to give this game in it's time a 2. This game really needs to be ironed out to get a better score. It's a simple game, not horrid, but you're better off getting this game at a sale if you really want to play it. You will get bored, but it's simple for beginners.
TIGER OUT!
I don't recommend this game.

When I saw this one, I had to see it. Being the fan of the previous, let's see what it delivers on the table.
Eye Candy:
The visuals in this game is probably number one in my book. By all means, it is beautiful with it's own style, and I like how it still feels like your in the book in some way. I also felt like the effects were going pretty nicely, and I felt like the game was well done from the puzzles to the look of the palace.Well Done!
Story:
To be honest, I liked how this story kinda set itself apart from the previous games. In other words, you do not have to play any of the previous Nevertales to understand it's story. It's like we are going into a different book world that does not involve the current family, and if it did. That kinda left the mystery of who was related. Is this from the father or the mother side? I have no idea. Regardless, if you pay attention to the main details of the story, there's not much originality as I hoped like from the previous three which is a slight downer for this version. This method of story is used a lot and it's hard to get much originality from it, but I wonder if there is a twist.
Experience:
On a Nicer note, I will praise the game for not making me wonder how long I've been playing this game and making me minimize to see how much I've played. I was pretty much glued in regardless that this one is a little bit easier from the other series. I wasn't doing much looking, but they do throw in a challenge here and there. Not all puzzles can be completed in one setting, and sometimes, you have to visit previous puzzles to retrieve pieces to the next puzzle which I thought was a plus and I wish games would do more of that. In the end, experience is definitely enjoyable.
Atmosphere and Soundtrack:
This is probably the area I am most disappointed in. I know that the game has a certain theme that the play. By all means, there is a bit of variety, but there are rehashed soundtracks in the game. If you loved the previous game music, you probably won't have a problem with this section, but if you wanted more variety... you're gonna be thirsty for a while. Furthermore, I wish they varied the action music. I heard it from the previous, but a little variation could revive those action scenes.
Overall, I had to give this game a 4 star. It's only nearly perfect. The game does not have enough sound variety or sparkling originality to become a 5 star. However, it is definitely worth the play.

I gladly returned after hearing that the next Chimera game came out. So, here's why I said this statement.
Eye Candy:
I can tell they put a lot of love and effort into the game. This is by far have better graphics from previous game. The 3D was a lot more crisp. The only problem I had was switching between 3D Characters and 2D characters as they talked to you. Since they were going 3D, I would think they should went 3D all the way with the characters. However, the backgrounds were well done and matched the mood
Atmosphere and Soundtrack:
Compared to the last one, this games soundtrack is booming with excitement. I can tell they made great improvements from the last Chimera game. The music kept you moving while the quiet areas give you a slow down to think and focus on the case and the connections of the outcomes. Well done on that part.
Experience:
Now, that I'm done with the game is good at. However, it did fair with the experience from the last game. Even though it pulled me in with the graphics, the level of choices is quite minimal. In some cases, you might feel more like you're told about what's going on than actually figuring things out yourself about the investigation. I wasn't feeling challenged like the last game which gave Chimera it's uniqueness in a more mental standpoint.
Story:
Not the best, but not horrible. The story is somewhat lacking the pull essence it needed to give this a good mark. Though they did leave a good "who are these people", but the experience does not pull the weight for the story. You might find yourself bored from time to time while playing in the slow periods, but it picks itself back up.
Overall, I have to give this game a 3 star. This game could be better, it's still worth a buy, but I let you decide if it's Collector worthy or not. For me, I might as well wait for a sell.

Wow! I love it. I think it may even top my favorite Dark Parables: Red Ridding Hood Sisters. But before I get into all the good points about the game, let me talk about the bad points because hey. Save the good points for last. This is based off demo play only.
Some of you may not know that this game is made with both epix and blue tea in mind. So, there will be some new elements that you may not be use to from the previous Dark Parable games. A couple of those things that are downplayed is probably the challenge and the visuals that might throw you off.
Let's start with the visual Aspect. As beautiful the sound and the animation may be (and I mean awesome), the talking aspect may seem down played. Sometimes, it switches between how both companies do it. Now, for people who played epix games, this is kinda of an already use to thing, but those who never played epix may see this part of the game as a step back from the last game with the way they handle the dialogue. Regardless of that fact, it doesn't really distract much from the game to be honest, but if you feel that way as die hard dark parable fan, I can feel ya. However, let's discuss the challenge.
Now, start dancing because even though this game does feel a bit easier than the easiest dark parables (FC), there are soo far no favorite puzzles as far as I played in the demo. This might change, but usually I can guess the favorite puzzle, and every dark parable player probably knows what I mean. If you played a lot of blue tea games, puzzle favortisim is their style. They will choose one puzzle that they will repeat more than 2 times, and each time you encounter this puzzle is a bit harder. Sometimes good, but sometimes if it's a puzzle you hate, it can be highly annoying. Now, if there is a favorite puzzle, I am putting my money on the purple orb puzzle as being the one. However, the absence of this makes the game a bit easier. In the end, it doesn't interrupt the fun.
OMG! The fun has been beefed up in this game. There are some new elements in this game. Finally, a dark parables with a spark of new things. I am sure we encountered this in other games, but for the dark parables series it's an upgrade. I know some may baw about no transformation object to find for your hints, but they hadn't forgotten. In fact, those are now, your parables finding which increase the difficulty of discovering story elements. Objects you find now have stuff inside of them, and I just hope new elements will keep coming for this game. A bit of warning, you will be caring a lot of stuff in this game, so get ready to scroll your menu for the right item you need.
And finally, I feel like the story is pretty tight. It's not wavering, but instead adds a bit of more mystery than the previous games. Even after the demo, I am still wondering and trying to piece puzzles together while being knocked out several times in the game. The cloaked figure involvement, the story of the frog prince's doing's with the mermaid, and finally, the king that knocked me out. Geez.... either I fall in a pit, knocked out by a beast, almost fell in a hole, attacked by a wolf, almost killed by a plant beast. Wow, it's hard to be a fantasy detective.
Overall, I highly recommend this game. However, if you are a die hard blue tea fan, and don't like the changes. I guess it's best if you avoided this one than.

For a game about art, I am surprised by the lack of effort.
Furthermost, one of the things I would like to point out was the sound and visuals. Out of honesty, I find the track of this game a tad too dreary. It's almost sleep like and boring. Unfortunately, the visuals don't help much as well. Even though the images look nice, I can't help that it feels blurry in some areas. Overall, I understand the mist part, but even in areas without mist has the same dull blur.
The game is only fun at a point. However, regardless that I played a full hour, I kept feeling like I'm forcing myself to play to figure out why this game is a 5 star to most. In my opinion, it doesn't have the best visuals, sounds, nor story line to even get such a high rating.
I liked the challenge in this game like the puzzles. and the number of things to do keeps increasing. However, you might find yourself holding on to junk for a long period of time before you see the purpose of use it. In the end, you're going to have to scroll through a list of stuff to get what you need.
Finally, the story kinda kept me lightly interested. Again, a lack of consistency between making the characters 3d and 2d which I dislike the most. However, the main character's brother was kidnapped in the mist. And as the adult/older brother, you have to save him. It's a typical reused story line which you can probably predict the ending. However, the only mystery would be the various outcome of that ending. It has a decent value, but honestly I can only give this game 3 stars.
For some reason, this game doesn't have enough charm, originality, and story variation to deserve a 4-5 stars. However, I require only a standard edition. It's an okay game. No recommendation for collectors. You're better off.

As always, I returned again! After I finally finished the previous "Nightmares From the Deep", this game is far from perfection.
One of the things I will salute to them is the fun in this game. I indeed had so much fun that I stayed glued to the game for a whole hour without even noticing it. Now, when you get me that hooked, I had to salute you. There's only a few games that fully grasped my attention for so long. And, I still want to play it.... However, again Collector Edition is debatable. Here's why?
Now, one of my most disappointing issue is the story. If you are one of those who played the previous games, you were warned about your meddling with Davy Jones. However, I was expecting... no... I was hoping that it would only effect Ms. Black personally not her daughter again like the first one. Do I have a problem of the story going that way?? Yes and a little bit of a No.
The story is indeed okay, but it would of been better if it had more direct effect with the character we play. Since her name was "Black", I was hoping more of a pirate direct line that Davy Jones would take advantage of and at least get a spoon full of fright. Which this game lacked too. I liked in the earlier two games that I felt scared even though I shouldn't be. Reason for that is the careful combination of creepy ambiance, music, and of course my personal favorite ghosts. Now, if feels kinda light hearted from the creepy, scary from the earlier games. The challenge and puzzles are pretty good, and the sound needs more to be desired. I can't say much because you had to play the previous game to know what I meant. I feel strongly like I recalled the music before.
Overall, visuals are great, but it can be easily overlooked with reused music, okay story line. I feel like the first one was indeed the best regardless of no buff ups of looks or improvements. Sadly again, I don't feel like I would regret not buying the collector editions like the previous games. Overall, I will still recommend it if you want to go full fledged crazy with collecting.

As much as I wanted to give this game a chance, I just can't ignore the problems after you press that play button.
You start off when the blimp crashed. Than, they re-winded you back 2 days before that event (to pretty much experience it again). I kinda felt like the game spoiled itself doing so. It was probably used to reveal suspicion. However, that could be better pulled off after the crash, and we get sudden flash back glimpses of those two days mysteriously. In other words, let the player put those pieces together about those 2 days. I felt like the game was telling too much verses showing us. However, what drove me to keep playing was wondering what the ending maybe. I didn't punish it much for a descent mystery.
However, the challenge of the game was pretty insulting. Even though it had junk hidden object games, the puzzles is truly lacking in the word "Puzzle". I even came across a couple that I solved instantly without any thinking process to boot. Furthermore, no puzzle I came across before you hit the "Buy Game to play More" screen were brain scratchers except one. A few of the puzzles could be more interesting if you found something and than tried to translate it another way to solve it. However, I had to say for how dreary it is, a kid of 7+ could probably play this game with ease.
Another annoying factor is the sound and visuals. I mean literally, the music loops in the first segment of the game and in hidden object scenes. It would be nice if they change the music. However, when I reached the next segment of the game, I was like, "YAY! I wonder what the music will be this time?" Only to be disappointed that it's the same music, but varied. Worst of all it loops the same way. I was hoping for areas with just ambiance. I really wanted it so bad that I had to take my earphones off to stop listening to the looping music. It was hard to tell if they wanted to go the 3D approach, or painted characters, because they kept switching between the two. This made some awkward scenes.
With all these issues, I found myself honestly bored of the game. If it wasn't for the mystery of wondering what the end maybe, I probably would of stopped way before I hit the "Need to buy game to play more. "screen.
However, if you are a young kid interested in a dark, mystery adventure without ghosts or creepy mess to scare you. This is probably the game for you. Otherwise...save your money.
I don't recommend this game.

Kitty is in with another Kitty's Thoughts!
Well, this is the first time I played a game from this company, and I had to say: "I am impressed but not enough to give this game a 5." This game has it's good, bad, and ugly. So, I might as well get started. Note: This is based on a 32 minute review because it has those demo limits, and I finished it around that much time.
First off, the story started out as you stopping in a strange woods at night talking to someone on a cell phone (Kinda wish people in real life would do that). Unexpectedly, while you were gabbing away about driving your child to the dentist... at night...... a tree took him away. You get sucked in afterwards, and your adventure begins. Well, I kinda found this plot laughable in a way. The story lacked originality. A child gets kidnapped, and suddenly you have to rescue them from this evil force. How many people seen this plot before?
However, regardless of the unoriginal story, I was pretty much pulled in by the difficulty of the puzzle. The level of challenge to me kinda varies by the player on this one. If you're not well observant, you can easily miss something very important that might take you minutes of looking. And I don't mind the sparkles not glaring at you everywhere acting like you can't find anything yourself. However, you can turn off the sparkles to increase your difficulty. The hidden object scenes vary from putting stuff back, or finding things and using them to progress in the scene. I kinda favor these more than searching through random junk because it's a like a puzzle itself.
Overall, I was very debatable about the sound and the visual quality. The backgrounds, and scenery I found were really good. I felt like it matched the mood of the game. You're in a fantasy world taken over by evil, so I expect that world will be dark, dreary, and etc. The animations on the other hand felt a bit granny. I didn't understand why each animation scene felt like you were watching though an old television screen. It would make sense if you were a 3rd person character solving a case, but you play as the mother in present time. So, it kinda feels out of place. The sound doesn't distract me much while playing, so overall I believe it's okay.
Regardless of lacking story. I found the game pretty addictive in a way. From trying to find the puzzles, to getting past obstacles that stop you from saving your son. I feel like this plot is predictable, but it's fun. Lots of fun. In the end, I give this game a solid 4 stars in truth. And I hope this company makes more games.

Yo! Kitty is in!
I would like to explain to you about the latest game I played known as Fatal Passion: Art Prision. This Review is based on an hour full play, so let's begin:
You start off seeing this person panting on walls (more like grafiti, but I am not going to get technical), and it comes to life. You have to wit your way through this guy's monstrous painting creations that either block your path, or even prevent you from gaining any valuable evidence to the story. I had to say, the story is pretty simple, but I feel like it was just lacking a spark of interest. The Lure in this game is just not as strong, but I am sure that would change when you get to the challenge.
The puzzles in the game are pretty strait forward. However, you might run into a few brain scratches on the way that might involve using trial and error. Not all puzzles are easily solvable, but there are some puzzles that are easy peasy.
The thing that really breaks the camels back is the sound and the visuals. Regardless how good the fun was in this game, the visuals and the sounds are pretty much going to be the deal breaker to most people. This company has it's own style, and it really shows. However, their style is going to lose it's edge a bit. The good thing I like are the quick transition to scene from scene, and I believe the map has teleport which is quite helpful in this game.
Overall, I deemed this game a three star. It has potential, and I don't mind seeing a series based off Fatal Passions. However, things do need to be improved, and worked on before I can call it Collector Edition worthy. I'll recommend this game but more for Standard Edition.

This is based on playing a full hour on the game.
Alright! After I decided to hold my review and reading others, I heard a lot of mix reviews about this game. Most of the people are punishing the game harshly for being different, but in my case... I really don't mind this interesting turn on the game. So, here's why:
Storyline:
Okay, I agree with most if you say the story is indeed not strong, and still needed to be worked out. However, if you hadn't beat the full game... who knows if it has a twist. Overall, you start out on your investigation as this floating island is falling apart over a city crushing everything. Your job is to investigate and figure out a way to stop this island from doing anymore harm. However, the story has an interesting start, but I felt like the girl in the beginning.... what happened to her.... Seems like she kinda got dropped out of the story, and yet there is a different girl. So, I kinda felt like they drifted off a bit. And the story seems to be spreading out too much in the beginning. This is probably the cause of why most think the story has weakened. The branches of the stuff that relates to the story is too spread out and not coming together enough for each event.
Level of Challenge:
I actually felt like they beefed up the difficulty a bit from the usual Dark Parables Fragmented Hidden Object Games. Some pieces are carefully hidden in secret areas. Of course, it has already been going on for a while in other games, but they don't make it obvious which adds to the challenge like most games like highlighting letters in a different color. Another is the puzzles, so far the puzzles are on the mid, they definitely grown a bit of difficulty from the last Dark Parables which I like. I like a good balance of difficulty instead of simple puzzles in the last game.
Visual and Sounds:
I had to say are still up to date. I really like that they kept the style, yet still added a few things. Especially, I enjoyed the more animated through exploring scenes where the characters are more moved instead of yelling from being statues. I believe that's something to be explored for later games that I hope they keep doing.
Fun Factor:
I had to reward them an excellent. Because unlike most games I played that newly released this year. Even though they strayed away from the usual Dark Parable Darkness of fairy tale combined stories, It Still Kept my attention for the whole hour none stop without feeling that I had to force myself to play an hour. The games was fun, from watching the action scenes as you explore, to still solving the case while commotion is happening.
Overall, I was torn apart to giving this game between a 3-4 stars. To be honest, with the testing..., this game does not deserve a 5 star rating. However, I don't believe the game is soo terrible to deserve a 2 or a 1. Compared to most games I've played that really deserve that rating and those games got 5 stars. However, I agreed with most who gave the game a 3-4 stars. Seems like they know what they're talking about.
In the end, I hope they do BETTER to keep me buying their CE. You got a good try for testing. Now, I want to see something good.
I recommend this game!
