This is the first Chimera game I have played. I understand from other reviewers that the other games are very different so maybe try the demo first and see if it's your thing. I very much enjoyed the plot line and the way the game worked. Good puzzles and HO scenes. An entertaining mystery that I very much enjoyed playing. In common with lots of games recently it was rather short and over too quickly. I'm not the fastest player of these games so if you are quite quick you may find paying for the CE version a bit much. The graphics were excellent and the whole game very atmospheric. If it had been longer it would have got 5 stars
Like many Collector games these days this was a bit on the short side. I really do feel that a Collectors edition game should be quite a bit longer. Good graphics and story line. Atmospheric.Liked the HO scenes and the puzzles were entertaining enough. Lost a star (almost lost 2) because really quite short
Really enjoyed this game. I love the Mystery Trackers series and enjoyed the way this game is linked to those. You switch characters to play at different points as there are three different threads to the game. Clear graphics, good puzzles and great storyline. Way too short which is becoming an increasing feature of games today- sadly especially for a Collector's Edition and the price you pay
MCF are among my all time favourite games. I have loved everyone apart from Rewind which I thought was a mistake. This game is very good with lots of puzzles that I found challenging (but I don't count myself as expert). The graphics were excellent. I liked the way you moved through the locations. The story held my interest (although a bit weaker than some previous ones). The game length could have been longer and then the story would have developed much more. Games are often too short these days. I hope we see more of these but please make them longer with a bit more storyline
This was so disappointing. I love the Mystery Case Files series and have played every game since the first. This is cheating frankly. It's just a series of Hidden Object scenes harking back to the very first games with a very irritating make a key puzzle at the end of each chapter. Sorry folks I found this very boring and not nearly up to the standard of previous games. It really grieves me to not recommend a Mystery Case Files game. Hoping the next one will be better
These games are usually highly enjoyable and this one was no exception. It was however way too short which seems to be a common theme these days. I suspect that anyone who is a whizz at these games will polish off the whole game including the bonus chapter in the 90 min trial period. It could easily have been longer with a bit more depth to the storyline
I very much enjoy the spookier, scary/horror games and Phantasmat is usually a very good series. The story line is fine and good puzzles but it was way too short. Both the main game and especially the bonus chapter finished so abruptly I thought the game had crashed. I'm glad I got this as a BOGOF so I don't feel as ripped off as I would have done had I paid full price. It is a good game but the CE is certainly not worth the money. Most people will be able to do the SE version without too many mishaps so I'd suggest using your free game with punch card to get this game and get the SE- believe me you are missing nothing from not doing the bonus chapter which is very weak. Really hoping the next one is much better but I'm very wary now. Recommending game but do the SE version.
Immediately wanted to try this game when I saw the "warning-for adults" on the description page. You wake up in a room, no idea what's going on and a weird, childlike voice speaks to you. You are subject 360- why? For what purpose? The storyline is great, graphics very well done, puzzles sufficiently difficult but not impossible so I didn't need to use the skip button. It wasn't that scary-there were moments designed to make you jump. Overall a really entertaining game and can we have lots more like this please
