This is a very good game. The HOS were easy; some items required extra steps, but not too many. A few of the puzzles were easy, but there was also a few that were kind of ridiculous.
There were a few cons in the game though: -No map so you had to back track a lot, which became tedious after a while. -Journal was more useless, only opened it like maybe twice the whole game. -Graphics werent as "sharp" as many other games I've played. -The dialogue scenes were more on the boring side.

I fairly enjoyed the game. Creepy in most scenes. Graphics were excellent. HOS were pretty easy. Puzzles were also pretty easy to me.
One downfall was there was no map. Going back and forth majority of the time became tedious after a while.
Hint button refills pretty quickly. The skip button takes maybe 1-2 minutes to fill, but luckily the puzzles were easy enough to where I didnt need the skip button.
I didnt really use the journal. It seemed more useless. The bonus play was good too. Good length.

I really felt like this was real, which isnt too often with all the games I have played.
The graphics were excellent and the special effects were chilling in many of the scenes (knives being thrown at you, house catching on fire right before your eyes, etc).
The HOS were easy; I didn't use a hint for any of them. The puzzles were also pretty easy with a couple harder ones (the ship collecting treasure one took me awhile#, but no skip was needed.
The hint was useful in guiding me where to go #instead of of telling me it actually used arrows in certain directions that I could follow). There was no map which is usually disappointing because going back and forth can become tedious, but this game wasnt too bad without a map.
The bonus play was very good too. You finally find out who the killer was/is.

This one was interesting. You had to save 3 kids from this warlock. Graphics were excellent. Acting of characters were not very good though (emotions seemed a little too fake).
HOS were ok, pretty easy, not too many. Puzzles were more on the easy side.
The journal was pretty useless. A map would have been nice. The bonus was pretty good in length and storyline.

This game wasnt the best of the series. Graphics were excellent, but characters acting was not good at all, not believable at all. The dialogue scenes were boring to me.
Didnt care for the HOS as well as other games. The puzzles were easy.
The journal was not very useful, I only looked at like once or twice for entire game. The hint recharges at a pretty good speed.
I spent most of the game going back and forth, which made the game less enjoyable. It would have been better if there was a map to use.

This game was ok, not the best I have played.
The storyline was alright, didnt care for it as much as many others on here. The ending was good, different kind of ending than what most pirate games have.
A pirate ghost kidnaps a musuem owner's(or director or whatever she is# daughter to drain her life and bring back his dead wife.
Graphics were very good. Music was ok too. Music wasnt really annoying like other games I have played.
The characters were good, however, I feel the daughter didnt behave as one would imagine a kidnapped girl to act. She didnt act very scared in my opinion. She was kind of girl some parents would be annoyed with #the daughter was an adult I believe#. She refused to help because the dead pirates on the ship were scary as well as other things. She wouldnt even help her mom get back home in the bonus play either. She just sat there for the most part. I also do wonder, how does her sunglasses manage to stay on her head throughout the whole game?
The HOS were very easy. The puzzles were also very easy. There really wasnt any challenge to the HOS or the puzzles.
You do get 2 maps in the main game #didnt pay attention in the bonus play), you cant use it to jump to other locations, so you spend most of the time going back and forth which was time consuming. So the map was actually useless.
The bonus play was ok, but short. The storyline for the bonus play was not very good in my opinion.

Good game, story line was not as good as others. The daughter of the original opera singer has been "kidnapped" somewhat and trapped in the opera house by the Phantom of the Opera's ghost.
Graphics were very good. The music was ok, I found it to be annoying after awhile.
HOS were easy in some locations but harder in other locations because of how dark the scene was. Hard to find things in those darker areas. There wasnt a whole lot of HOS within the game.
Puzzles seemed pretty easy. Bonus play was ok, a bit too short though.
I really wished there was a map to use to jump to locations. Having to go back and forth was tedious and time consuming since that is what you have to do majority of the game.
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.

I have to admit, this not nearly as good as the other MCF games (Dire Grove, 13th Skull, etc). This is actually the worst.
The graphics were excellent, which is really the only plus in this game. The colors could have been a little lighter because I had trouble seeing things in many of the scenes, even when I played at night.
I really didnt care for the storyline. Having to go back into the madmans past was wierd. The storyline was not like the other MCF games.
The first act when you first get there is too long. I hated the HOS morphing object concept. I couldnt see most of them because the scenes were too dark. I have played many different HOS, but trying to find morphing objects (majority being way too small) is way to tedious. I ended up having to use the hint for a lot of the objects.
There was no map. I found myself going back and forth more than anything making the game less fun and more tedious.
The puzzles were not the best. Some were easy while others were ridiculous.
The journal was also ridiculous. Very little is written in the journal, so if you have a code and instructions for a puzzle (like the tombstone code for the lighthouse) is not written in journal, so you either have to memorize the code and puzzle directions or write it down (which wastes time).
I had to refer to the strategy guide often, which is unusual for me. The strategy guide was actually the only "bonus" in this game. No other bonus content in the CE version. No music, no wallpapers, no bonus chapter, no anything.

This one is a very good one, but I still like the Dire Grove one a little better. The Louisiana setting was very realistic with the rain and swamp. The ending was quite shocking. The bonus play was interesting.
This man who is a husband and father goes missing. He was supposedly taken by a pirate captain's ghost according to the daughter.
HOS was not the best as in many other games. A lot of the objects were hard to find because of how dark some of the scenes were. Another issue was the game wouldnt let me pick up some of those HO until I clicked on the hint button. I could click on an object several times and it wont work, then click on the hint button and then I am finally able to pick up that object. It was goofy.
The puzzles were mostly challenging, a few were too challenging (I admit I had to skip a few which is unusual for me#. The last puzzle in the main game was not very fun. Trying to match those little picture pieces (there were little parts that had to be matched on the map# to the map to get a number was ridiculous because I had trouble seeing some of those "tiny" details. You had to get 6 different numbers that were roman numerals on the map for all 3 boxes #whatever they are) in the swamp which means 18 different numbers total.
The characters were ok. I did not really like most of the characters. The daughter was wierd in her behavior. She was supposedly really scared and wouldnt let anyone come in her room. You get in her room and she acts like nothing is wrong. Her acting was not good in my opinion. Same applies to the mother/wife and the missing man. Most of the characters are not good at acting and some were just plain weird #the maids eyes were disturbing to me).
Another downfall was there was no map for you to use to get to locations, so going back and forth most of the time was tedious.
