It's a very simple game with simple graphics and no storyline but... I love it. The simple graphics are very appealing, the game play is simple but very well thought out and clever and the music is perfection. I'd listen to this music all on its own, it's lovely.
If you need something to relax in the evening, I highly recommend this game. Simple pleasures, folks.
... but I deleted this game before even finishing it. Yes, I paid for the collector's edition but the game was driving me insane. In one scene, there are racks of wood but there's no way, that I could figure out anyway, to get to them before they caught on fire and then you're stuck waiting for three trees to regenerate to finish the rest of the long and very tedious chapter. In another, I didn't have enough metal to make the last tool I needed to finish another long and tedious chapter. I've loved every game in this series until this one. This was a waste of time and money and I resent how very annoyed I am right now because of it.
The scenes are like something out of a Dali nightmare but in a fun and interesting way. Unexpected items show up in oddball locations and the visuals are a little confusing and make the search for items a bit challenging. It's so fun and different that I lost two hours playing when I should have gone to bed.
This kept me enthralled for hours and since I have the attention span of a gnat lately, that's quite an accomplishment.
Beautiful graphics, new and intriguing game play, an actual story that kept me involved and interested and the game itself was quite challenging as well. I'm going to replay it immediately since there were puzzles that I had never seen before that stumped me but I'll get them next time.
I can't remember when I've ever given a game straight fives/excellent ratings but here we are. Highly recommend.
Granted, there are a few of these types of games out right now and many of them are boring and repetitive but this is the gold standard. The graphics are very clear and beautiful, the music is nice, there's no timer or gold stars to worry about and the subjects are interesting. If you're looking for something relaxing to destress, this is it.
These are my favorite of the clutter type games. There's no timer and the graphics are very pretty compared to several others in this genre. You have a list of topics that each have four different screens/games that include finding pairs, finding items on a sticky note that disappears and is replaced once those items are found, a find-the-difference or other type of game and then a jigsaw puzzle that's usually fairly challenging in a fun way.
You need to be in a certain mindset to enjoy these, it's very "zen".
I should preface this with the fact that I'm not very good at these games and always play them (and replay them) in casual mode. And I can play these and their sister Alice in Wonderland games over and over again without getting bored. They're relaxing, nice to look at and they have entertaining stories with characters that I like.
I'd recommend buying the CE version though, finding the totems is a lot of fun.
... and now I'm so excited and happy that I saw it on the list of top 10 PC downloads just now. I absolutely love these games, I can play them over and over again. Beautiful music, pretty puzzles with a wide variety of colors and they're just difficult enough to keep me involved without getting annoyed. I hope they continue making these for many years. I'll be sure to buy them.
I bought the third game and loved it so much that I went back and bought the first two. I don't normally like coloring games but this is so beautifully done and the music is so lovely that I'm hooked. These are a huge stress reliever and I highly recommend them all.
