I totally agree with the first two reviewers - the tiles are too similar (particularly the blue-ish ones), and there are too many on the board. It's frustrating waiting for tiles to stop falling before making the next move, and this of course cuts into the time allowed for the level. Overall, this is not a well thought out game.
Viking Brothers - welcome back! This game is one of the better time management games. I played the demo for only 15 minutes before buying it - I can't wait to get back to it! There are a couple of things I don't like - no voices, some levels have unrealistic times allowed to get three stars (even when re-played), and I think the reference to where the fireworks are made was rude and unnecessary. I like the auto-collect from farms and factories. Overall, what promises to be a really enjoyable game.
I wish I'd had more sense than to buy this game before playing the whole hour of the demo, because it's so frustrating that I'm regretting wasting my money. Play in relaxed mode, and you can't multi-click. Play in multi-click mode, and after not too many levels it becomes impossible to finish the level in the time given. As someone else mentioned, once you click on a task you can't cancel it, which becomes very frustrating after a while. Some levels are made extremely difficult to work out what sequence to use to perform the tasks, resulting in many, many re-starts. It got to the point where I was so sick of re-starting that I've deleted the game. Take my advise - play the whole demo before committing yourself to this game.
This is a fun game - good graphics, good storyline, not very challenging (will suit most levels of players), but - it's too short! When I play any game there needs to be a goal to aim for. In this case, you reach the end goal quite quickly, and after that you're just playing for the sake of playing. I found it rather unsatisfying, and deleted the game after I played to the end in quite a short time.
This is the most irritating game I can remember trying to play. I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to do to get "rewards" after every level, as no matter what I do I get nothing. The fact of only being able to connect tiles vertically and horizontally is infuriating, and frankly, there are no redeeming factors to this game.
I feel really let down when a new match 3 game is offered, I download it, and with the very first level, immediately recognise it as a game I already own in a slightly different guise. Spellarium is Laruaville 3 with different tiles and story line, but exactly the same gameplay. It's not for me.
I bought both the Alice mosaic games and loved them - this one is even better. It's nice to play without a timer, giving the player an opportunity to look at the pieces and decide where they go before placing them. The music is (for a change) very pleasant. And even better - it's not a HO game! I've bought it, and will probably play right through to the end today - I'm hooked!
I'm a Match 3 devotee, so to be offered two games in two days was a nice change. However, this one disappoints. It's disconcerting to have the gameplay going right to the bottom of the screen (although you'll get used to it), but oh dear - the music! The dreary, relentless music!! Make sure you turn it off before you start to play, because it will numb your mind if you don't! (There's no volume control, so it's either on or off). There doesn't seem to be any challenge to this game, it's just the same thing over and over, with different tiles for each "shop". This one's not for me.
It's fun to play something different. Other reviewers have detailed what you do to get through it, and up to a point I agree with them. I'm not a lover of limited move games, but so far it's working well. Timed levels are challenging but doable. The story is fun, although I found the game skipped at least one chapter, so I missed finding out that she was searching for her father until she was being followed. All in all, it's a bit different (hard to find these days, Big Fish) and thoroughly enjoyable. I've bought it.
It's a fun game, with a few negatives. First, the voice - it's appalling! We're not 5-year-olds being encouraged to play better, and the school-teacher voice will drive you nuts. Fortunately it can be turned off, and should be! The other disappointment is that you can't replay levels to get a better score. Other than those two things, I'm enjoying playing it.
