Oh dear, did the makers miss the mark with this one! I was bored to tears by level 6 or 7, and gave up. Dreadful "music", no challenge to the games, no permanent bonuses (they disappear at the end of each level)...just as well there is the option to skip the level when you're sick and tired of trying to get a match under a bonus. This one is definitely not for me, and I'm a confirmed Match 3 lover.
This is a really good, fun game, combining HO with Match 3 beautifully. There are battles to be won and treasures to locate, challenging without being impossible. It's about time we had some new games like this one.
I got so sick and tirted of collecting the bonuses! I never thought I'd say that about any game, but this one drove me crazy. I seemed to spend more time collecting bonuses than I did clearing the tiles. It's not for me.
I have the first version of this game and have enjoyed playing it a number of times. I won't be buying this one, as there are too many negatives for me. The picture quality is poor - it's like looking at an old newspaper, slightly fuzzy and very hard to find white objects on a snow scene. The back-and-forth clicking when people are speaking is extremely annoying, as is having to click on the coins to collect them (in the first version you simply moved the cursor over the coins and they were collected).
There are things I liked about this game, but many more that I didn't. I like the fact that it's fast-moving - the game play, that is. Almost everything else slows it down to a level of frustration that makes it not worth playing. Once the tutorial has told you how the game works, it should go away and leave you alone! Instead, on every single level, you're told how to play, as if your brain is incapable of remembering. Another irritation is the fact that it's untimed. I think I can see why - there are so many different tokens on the board each time that it takes a while to look through them to find matches. If it was timed, it would have to be very generous times, and there's no point in that. Overall, an irritating, frustrating game that could have been good.
What could be more fun in a game than blowing things up? It doesn't take long for the levels to get harder and more challenging (goodness knows what the last ones will be like!). I loved this game - it's great to get something a bit different (bit??) from the usual daily offerings of gloomy, creepy hidden object games.
I've been waiting for this game for ages - thanks, developers, for finally producing it. It's fun to see elements of both previous games consolidated into one, and makes for a really fun, challenging game. My only criticism is that the graphics are not as crisp and clear as the first game, and the buildings not quite so imaginative and beautiful. Still, I can live with that!
Firstly, it's not a hidden object game, it's time management. Amateurish graphics, poor storyline, dreadful "music", all in all a childish attempt at a game. I played 13 minutes, woke from my boredom-induced sleep and deleted the game.
I'm a Match 3 lover, but this one left me cold. The graphics are very ordinary, game play is slow, it's not easy to see what needs to be cleared to finish the level, and as another reviewer said, it takes ages to get from one level to the next while the game does its own thing. I suggest playing Imperial Island or any of the Jewel Quest games rather than this one. Children might enjoy it for a while.

SO good to have a new Great Wall game. This one is basically the same as the original, but with interesting additions - nomads who'll destroy your buildings unless you fight them off, HOGs, and you earn coins to pay for upgrades. Love it!
