I enjoy management games, and this one starts off well. You get to set up a bistro, hire staff, buy equipment.
The problem is, it gets very repetitive, each new restaurant is the same thing over again. There is no progression in the difficulty level or in the tasks, the goal is always the same.
It's fun but has no replay factor. I played 80% and never finished. Worth getting at discount price only.
This is an oldie but a goodie (a greatie in fact).
It's a pure, classic, adventure game not designed to be completed in a single session. It could take days or weeks if you are a casual player and I recommend trying to solve it without a walkthru unless you get stuck for more than 3-4 days.
The interface is clunky, the character physically moves around, you will wear out many pairs of sneakers before you have finished with the first location. Therefore this game is not for everyone.
It has an epic story, a journey across Europe. It's touching, delightful, immersive and at times very frustrating. Love it.
This is a combination of a "god game" (used to be very popular) and a city sim/builder. It's enjoyable, and the interface/instructions are clear and easy to understand. It is suitable for all ages.
The goals are straight forward and not stressful. Some optional tasks are timed..
You need to clear land in order to build. Once you have placed buildings, you can move them later (thumbs up!). The game is 2D and you can't change the camera angle or zoom in and out. The tutorial elements are not skippable (that I could see) but are subtle and guide you into your tasks gradually so you don't get overwhelmed.
If you enjoy building games and/or city sims, it's worth a try. It's not overly challenging (at least so far) but it's definitely fun and I can see myself spending a few quiet evenings on this
Wonderful game that gets everything right. I've played it very slowly, just a little each night and it's been delightful. Great graphics, great story, great puzzles, just the right amount of help, 3 difficulty modes (don't play the hardest unless you are masochistic!).
This is one of my absolute favorites. Been a while since I played it. It has a very nice flow to the story. A good mix of everything. Highly recommended.
