I basically like the premise of this game. Solving each puzzle to advance to the next area. The kiddish characters are silly but didn't bother me. What I didn't care for was the monster action while working the puzzle or the very short time limit to resolve a puzzle to beat a monster. What really turned me off, tho, was the 'shop'. I couldn't figure out what to do get the freebie or to purchase anything. The mechanics didn't make any sense to me.
I don't recommend this game.

After using a secret alias to board the Titanic, things go terribly wrong and you find yourself trapped among the wreckage. In order to earn freedom from your watery tomb you must appease your captor by re-writing history and freeing the spirits trapped aboard the 'unsinkable' luxury liner as well as discover why fate has chosen this destiny for you.

Played this game almost all the way thru without stopping, and that's pretty unusual for me. Helping 'Charles' figure out how to save the Titanic souls had just enough variety for me. HOGs got tiring after a while cause the object were very small. Those blurred by black or blue background were the hardest. With a little patience, the hit button worked wonders. There is a lot of back and forth between ship rooms and time (past and present) changes. At first, I was frustrated that the hint button did the 'there's nothing to do here', and i couldn't figure out where to go. THEN I found the blueprint area, and I was off and running! Figuring out how to get to each room and in which time frame was more challenging than some of the puzzles. While the puzzles where sorta simple (which was fine by me), too many of them had directions that made no sense to me. Tried than passed. That was the only disappointing part of the game. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it, and plan to check on other games in this series.
I recommend this game!

Help Olivia find her mentor. The only frustration was the levels where an element affected everything if left to 'die'. Player has to keep 'feeding' it to move thru the level which mean taking longer to get what was needed to complete other tasks. I played on the Easy mode, and these levels took a while. Can;t imagine how it could be done on Timed mode and earn 3 stars. Otherwise, I look forward to another game with Detective Olivia!

After playing the others in this series, I bought it without hesitation. I like that the plot is simple. The games provides subtle hints to help figure out what to do next. Though I could play in 'normal' mode, even that much timing takes the fun away from me, so I stick with 'relaxed'. There are no 'hidden' bonuses, so they are fairly easy to find. There are no characters creating havoc on the playing field while I'm working to update buildings and store away supplies. I also like that the worker's hut automatically adds new workers, one less task while working on all the others. This is the only TM series that I'm able to accomplish all the achievements. So that's a big plus for me.
I recommend this game!

This is the nicest TM game I've played yet. What happened to Granny? A family goes to visit her and she's gone. No sign of her, except that she was preparing for their visit. While 'waiting' for her, everything changes, and they end up in a strange new place. Granny was kidnapped! The game play is rather typical; buildings for the usual resources. But the impediments they have to fight and how they deal with them are unique. The trolls are there to guard only, no need to fight them off. There are several other referred to as 'vermin'. Bonuses are in the form of 'beads' to collect, which help deal with them as well as prove addition workers and time. This TM isn't quite as complicated as others I've play, and maybe that's way I liked it. One aspect I found interesting and different; all characters work and help out. Unlike other TMs I've played, no character is so special that it only comes into action at special times, while everyone else is running to do everything else. And the main character is a woman, the wife. Husband pitches in, but she does most of the work.
I recommend this game!

I've enjoyed more challenging nonograms, but this series is just simple fun. The pics aren't extravagant and are sometimes redundant, but I like that the fairy tale is told a little bit different. It focuses on and enhances the details of the main physical object of the tale. For this tale, there's a whole section where the pictures are dedicated to show the prince's efforts to find the owner of the shoe. It's an easy, relaxing, fun way to tell an age old tale.

Though the story is simple, I like the game play, but I'm frustrated at not being able to find many of the objects. The darkness and high detail of each painting is too hard on my eyes. I could and would deal with that, but having to 'pay' for hints is a real turn off. Also tried the next one which has a better story line, but that didn't help either.
I don't recommend this game.

I've played both and enjoyed them. Only rated 4 stars cause i dislike the so called hidden object part of it. Would also rather have less clues and more puzzles to solve. Logic puzzles can twist my brain a bit, but the color coding and scoring of right/wrong answers help solve it.
I recommend this game!

I generally enjoyed the plot and the characters. Switching between the 3 main problem solving characters is nicely done. It is different that not every puzzle comes with info. Never had that before. Sure, if you regularly play this kind of game, not too hard to figure out what needs to be done. Even so, most games include some short instruction for even the simplest puzzle. Few times, I was surprised to not see any available. Rated only 4 starts due to big disappointment with the strategy guide. The format seems more for looks than clarity. I could hardy read the printing or see the pictures, which caused me to skip a few of the puzzles for which the game instructions weren't clear to me, and the guide didn't help. Otherwise, interesting, fun game.
I recommend this game!

I've played a few of this type of game, and decided enough is enough. Even though the game name is intriguing, the only thing that suggests moving thru the story is the title for each set of puzzles, but that's not enough. It's like expecting chapter titles in a novel to tell the whole story. Doesn't work for me, The theme music is okay but I turn the volume down because I can't stand the constant bleeping sound every time a card is removed. It also irritates me every time the game movement stops and lights are dimmed to announce the bonus that the player found within the cards won. This happens as much as 10 times per layout. Gimme a break. Normally I like solitaire games, but these other nuisances are a turnoff for me.
I don't recommend this game.
