I played the demo for an hour, purchased and played for 3 more hours to end, so length is pretty good.
You always have to rescue someone in these games and this time it's your sister.
Fantastical creatures, puzzles and HO scenes - nothing too difficult - and you take photos to solve the mystery. Enjoyable way to pass the time.
There is a map to get you back on track if you get lost. My only criticisms would be the English (a clock hand is an "arm" and a flask is a "bulb", etc). And it ended rather abruptly.

Although I've done the hour trials for each Northern Tale, I've never purchased one. This one was clunky and the levels took very long to load. It is difficult from the beginning in timed mode. I was only getting 2 stars by level 3 (with them yelling at me to "hurry up!" and "watch the time!") - kind of discouraging. A few positive comments: the Viking historical facts are interesting and the underwater scenes are pretty.
They keep making them so they must be selling. To those of you who like the game, enjoy! If not, try the Viking Saga series which I think is more fun.

I loved the first in this series and still play it through every month or two. I was excited to see a sequel. I think the characters are adorable and the gameplay is fun. The story was better in the first one and I missed the levels where you only control one gremlin. Also, I got 3 stars on every level with this one, where I struggled with some levels in the first. I preferred the challenge and found this game a bit easy in comparison. Also this game hiccupped frequently (freezing for a split second) and that was annoying. I bought the game, enjoyed playing it and will play it again, but it pales in comparison to the first.

Maybe I'm not that bright, but I couldn't figure out how to play. I only played 4 minutes and gave up. I even won once and set a new record, but had no idea what I'd just done. It needs a better tutorial in my opinion.

Well, I've played the hour trial and I am going to buy it with the coupon, but mostly because I'm desperate for anything but a hidden object game!
The game is fun to play and challenging. My only problems are the enemies that I'm "killing" are pretty cute and the horses scream when you shoot them. Geez - a little uglier foes and funnier sound effects would have been nice.

Ah, the treasure you can find in a soft release.
This is a delightful game. The characters are ugly as well as adorable. The animation is done well and the game is fun to play. It is very challenging and I did not get a flower on most of the levels. But that's OK - I will be going back to try my hand at them again.
I did not think it was too short. I played for about 3-1/2 hours and it is definitely replayable.

I enjoyed playing the game and I even like the bouncing balls that drive some people crazy. I like special effects and sounds in my games - very satisfying to be rewarded when you do well.
It is your typical solitaire game - nothing new. If you can afford the power-ups, it's nearly impossible to lose. Some levels without them are almost undoable.
My only complaint is the screen transitions. Every level goes flying by every time you start a new game or go to the store. And the map that you keep being directed to is entirely unnecessary. Both of these features become increasingly annoying the longer you play. And wait until you want to go back and get a higher score on a previous level - every time it loads, it zips to the last level so you have to arrow yourself back to the beginning.
If you like this type of game, and the above stuff doesn't drive you crazy, I think it may be a keeper. I bought it with a credit.

I played for 15 minutes and figured out how to accomplish the first "challenge". Then I was left on my own to figure out what else to do. It keeps instructing me to get more food for the workers to move faster, but where is the food? It is not berries or mushrooms and I can't fish without bread, but where is the bread? With the forums shut down now and no one to explain it, I will just hold on to the last 45 minutes until I understand what to do. I am interested in playing it, but I can't recommend it the way it is.
I generally like this type of game and I'm sure many of you will enjoy the challenge. But I only got gold on the first level and failed by the seventh. Maybe I just didn't get it, but I got frustrated and did not continue. My typical experience is that the first levels are easy and the difficulty builds to near impossible by the end - this seemed to start out hard right away. I was not intrigued enough to keep playing levels over to get the gold.
I bought yesterday's game - Moai: Build Your Dream - and I'm going back to that one - very enjoyable and I recommend it.
