Bought this as an add-on for a 2-fer buy, wasn't expecting much and WOW I'm so happy I did! I am a huge Gaslamp game fan, buy them ALL sight unseen, revisit each and every one over and over. Way to occupy my time & provide me with a match-3 challenge every time. This one has a bit of a different, more modern, storyline but it hits just as well for me. I recommend! Please keep 'em coming!

I was NOT expecting much from this game..bought it on a 2-fer day. Am PLEASANTLY surprised! The game - for a non-CE edition - was long, involved and NOT easy (I ended up using that 'hint' button WAY more than usual) Love the graphics, artwork, characters and, basically, all the visuals. Do I recommend giving this one a try? Absolutely! KUDOS to the developer..hope to see more from you!

I never even hesitate when I see a new Gaslamp Case game..INSTANT buy. I've got 'em all and revisit them over & over. They may LOOK easy, but they certainly are challenging, at least to me. Keep 'em coming!!

Bought & finished..it was okay but didn't knock my socks off. Seems Book Traveler is a new series so maybe they'll improve with age.
Good graphics, color not over-blown. Gameplay was medicre. Elephant used to be such an exciting developer..now not so much. Really would like more games rooted in modernity.

I bought this game as it was on the sale menu, started playing it last night and am really on the fence about it. The graphics are good, colors are good, mechanics good but the game itself...meh. The collectibles are small enough to be non-detectable. Lot of back & forth which I don't normally mind. This game, however, has just not been much fun so far. I've been doing "Adventure/Detective" HOPA's a long time now and don't mind a challenge, actually, but I WOULD like it to make sense. I've smashed the hint/skip button far more than I usually do. Do I recommend this game? You'll have to decide that for yourself
I've only played the free trial so far...will be waiting for a sale on this one...BUT, this game smacks of one of my all-time Fish favorites 'My Brother Rabbit'. It's NOT easy and I had to hurry thru to get as much out as I could before my time ran out. I liked it!!

I always...ALWAYS...buy any Vacation Adventures/Christmas Wonderland game instantly. They give me endless hours of gameplay. This one is no exception, though I thought the original honeymoon was a bit shorter than usual. If you don't buy the Collectors Edition, you're gonna miss out on some other cruises in the US. As always, the gameplay is flawless, the colors and graphics are fantastic, the puzzles are familiar yet challenging and you're always gonna get an overwhelmingly cluttered scene to explore. Keep 'em coming, Casual Arts!

Am only on Level 6 so can't give the game a proper full review. The colors are beautifully vivid, graphics clear BUT everything is so SMALL! Guess you have to have better vision than I to not feel a bit "strained". So far gameplay is moving along, collectable resources generate in average time, actually collecting resources along the way is pretty decently quick.
However, the "guide" is very generic and where the heck are these artifacts they say are collectible??? They don't show on the guide and I've clicked around on every possible bush, flower, gap, rock. tree etc to no avail. Guess I pay the $$ for collector's editions so I can take advantage of everything it offers so, even though the artifact collectibles may seem like a small thing but it's like having an HO game with morphs and collectibles and not be able to find them. So, that is my only big complaint...so far.

Bought this with my stored game points...wish I'd waited. Not going into the actual gameplay but this was too easy, too short and WAY below what I recall as Elephant Games standards. Really miss the Hidden Expeditions that were fun, educational, challenging and lengthy enough so you felt like you got your money's worth. The graphics and colors in this game ARE Elephant worthy and for plain cute fun and time killing, you need this. Guess I'm just a too-spoiled long-time Big Fisher.

Ok so I'm not going to bore you with my opinion...I've read all the reviews up to this point and they pretty much mirror what I'd say. Easy, fun, repetitive, slow, entertaining. I just have one teeny question...isn't there supposed to be a strategy/level guide? I understood there is a strategy/level guide. Because if there is, I can't find it. Could use it finding some of the really hidden objects on some of the levels. Otherwise, it's pretty much build, collect, banish. This is NOT a Northern Tale...it IS Northern Tales, which is different. I do enjoy the little history blurbs at each level, but read fast because they don't stay up long enough for some of us slower readers to catch all. Colors are pretty & well done, graphics are clear. Do I recommend this? It's does pass the time.
