There are volume controls for music & sound effects. There is a choice of full screen & animations. Game modes of beginner & pro. Started off with lots and lots of clicking to get through the "talk" as there were no voice overs. If you clicked on a bunch of sparkles the game would advance to a hidden object scene. These weren't too difficult, but there were a lot of items to find. In the time we played we didn't find any puzzles or mini games. If you click on a single sparkle, a door would show and you could exit that scene and go somewhere else. There was an interactive map that you could also use to go to other places. Sorry, but we only played for 15 minutes and quit. The game was truly boring with lots of clicking to get through the talk bubbles. Just before we quit we realized we didn't even remember what the story was about! Try it, you may like it, but it's not a buy for us.
The game started out ok with the creepiest piano version of Silent Night we have ever heard! There is a choice of casual or challenge modes of play. You can change the volume for music & sound effects. You can choose full screen, wide screen correction, customer cursor & extra brightness. In clicking the extras tab, there will be extra game play, music, wallpapers and concept art. The strategy guide views through 3 chapters in the demo, but doesn't state how many chapters there actually are in the full version. In the beginning cut scene, there are no voice overs and minimal reading. In the hour demo, there were a couple times when there were voice overs. They were ok. The sound effects, however, are awesome. There was no journal or map. The inventory and find list were at the top of the screen. That's fine, but takes a while to get used to, since most are at the bottom (better it seems) The hidden object scenes were interactive and pretty cluttered. We did use the hint quite often and found it filled quickly on casual mode. Even with the extra brightness option, the scenes were a bit too dark. There were a few scenes that made us jump! I am glad to know that the slowness and black screen between scenes was not our computer. That was very annoying and has a lot to do with not putting this on our Collector edition purchase list. Our recommendation is to try before you buy.
When this game was first released as a Collector edition, we didn't want to wait for the single version. We purchased the collector edition. Fun! Fun!
The game starts off right away with a great movie cut scene that gets you started on the story. In options, there are choices of full screen, wide screen correction and custom cursors. You can adjust the music and sound volumes. The voice over was good and not annoying. The music was somewhat dramatic and we turned it down low. The art work was fantastic! There is a choice of casual & advanced modes of play. There are 7 chapters. There is a lot of back & forth. This really makes you think and remember where do you need that item and what to do to advance in the game play. It's not your typical hidden object scene. In this game you may click on an item and a circle opens showing that you need other items to open that area. If you don't need the item for that circle, it will go to your inventory. There are some mini games within the item search that are quite easy, although we thought the game play was a challenge and at the same time, great fun. There is a journal that details the story line. It also has a tasks list. We did need to use the hints system. It refilled fairly quick and was helpful. If there was nothing in that area, it would direct you where to travel, but did not count as a hint used.
We play the 1st edition of this solitaire game quite often. This upgrade has some more challenges and has mini games. The achievements seem to be the same. Most of the levels don't seem to be much of a challenge, but they are lots of fun. Since we own the 1st one, we will put this on our list for a Daily Deal purchase possibility.
This game will keep you busy for hours! There are many different levels to play and achievements to acquire. There are special power cards to help you or you can try to beat the game without using any. Lots of fun to play again & again. This is one of the better solitaire games we have played in a while.

We did the Beta test on this game and as soon as it was released it was a buy for us. The graphics, voices and game play are awesome! There is so much to do in addition to playing & hopefully winning the games. You can buy houses and also use the keys to bet with if low on cash. You get to travel around Texas by horse, train or steamship. You can also play poker on the train while traveling to the next town. You get to play against some of the most notorious players in your quest to beat the governor. There are many achievements to acquire and you get to buy hats of many colors and styles. You choose male or female for playing, so the hats are appropriate for each gender. The help system is great, so even if you've never played poker before you could have loads of fun with this game! The voices and the other characters are a hoot! Keep bluffing and show your cards on a bluff bet and watch them get steamy! This game is for you if you want to have hours of fun! I highly recommend it for purchase.
I recommend this game!

I think we own most of the Diner Dash, Cooking Dash and other "DinerTown" games featuring Flo & the rest of the DinerTown characters. These are great TM games and are loads of fun. We had played this one before, but didn't purchase at the time. This time we couldn't pass up a Daily Deal and a card punch for such a fun game! This is one that can be played over & over and provide hours of entertainment!
The game starts out with some very suspenseful scenes and got us interested in the story right away. There are volume controls for sound effects & music. You can choose system cursor, full or wide screen. Game play modes of casual or expert. You cannot view the bonus content, but the strategy guide will take you through chapter 5 and indicates there are 14 chapters and 4 bonus chapters. The voice overs are good and the graphics are excellent. The hidden object scenes were clever and the puzzles and/or games were somewhat of a challenge. The story line is exciting, although a bit creepy because of the faceless masked "people". This is a definite on our buy list.

When this game first appeared we thought .... oh another "salon" style TM game. Even so, we downloaded the demo to check it out. We purchased right away because the game is such twisted fun! There is even a "whack the zombies" game. It's such a hoot that we even stopped trying to beat the clock to let the zombies run rampant in the shop! You can also play in a relaxed mode so there is no clock. This is a challenge as the levels get more difficult, although there are plenty of upgrades to help you. This was such a fun off-beat game that I know we will play it over & over.
This was a very good game! A challenge to find out what you had to do next and what you had to use to advance in the adventure. Love that you had to use your brain in this one! It was great fun to conquer making the potions and use the magic to get to the next destination. There are no "real" hidden object scenes, but you pick up items in your travels. Again, you really need to think about what you will do next, as there are no real hints. We also played the demo on the first installment and liked this 2nd one better, so we made the purchase and are pleased. If you don't want a challenge and need constant hints and/or guides, this game is not for you, but try the demo. You may like the change from the "normal" game selections.
