The story and game play had us hooked at the beginning! There are adjustments for sound, voice & music. You can choose between wide or full screen. You can also choose to use the custom cursor or not. The voices and graphics are excellent. The hidden object scenes are interactive and great fun. There is a diary and a goals tab. There are parts of drawings to be found and once put together, an interesting scene from the story is played. You can also use the diary and replay these scenes. It's quite clever. There is much interaction in the game and there are some scenes like the "living furniture" door knob that make the game a bit humerous. Although we love collector editions and did play the collector edition for this game we will purchase the single edition with the President's day sale price.
We were hoping this sequel was as good as the first and we were not disappointed. The game is fantastic. There is a choice of full or wide screens and you can switch the cursor. You can adjust the sound and music volume. There is a choice of playing regular or advanced. In the "extras" section, there is the strategy guide, achievements, bonus adventure and you can replay mini games. The book has the story line and a documents section that you can replay cut scenes if needed. The hidden object scenes are interactive. There are regular hidden objects and place the objects in the proper place. The sound effects are great and much thought was put into this game. It's just as good (if not better) than the first, although not as creepy. The graphics are clean & clear. There is so much interaction in the game, that it's impossible to get bored and you are always thinking! We were going to wait until the single edition was released, since we have free games to redeem, but we are caught up in the story line and since we purchased the 1st one as a collector edition, we are also purchasing this. I don't think we will be disappointed, since playing the demo was so much fun.
We tried the demo, although did not finish playing the whole hour. The graphics and sound were good. The cursor was very small and I don't remember an option to change that. After the player name was entered, the game went right into play without giving the chance to change any options, so you had to wait through the first cut scene to access the menu to see what your options were. I seem to remember there just being volume control. During the course of time we played, there were a number of objects that needed to be found, but not in a one scene hidden object style. They were random objects to be picked up while wandering about. However, if the object you clicked on was not in the list at the top of the screen of items to be found and you clicked on it, the item didn't go into your inventory, but you received a message that you may need the item later, but not at this time or something like that. Then, if you did finally need that item, you had to go back to find it. We like games that you need to back track through some scenes, but most often the item is already in your inventory. The game just didn't get us interested enough to put it on our buy list. Any game is worth trying, though. You may like it.
This game was quite creepy & fun at the same time! The story line kept you wanting to continue to see what happens next. The graphics and sound were exceptional. There were many hidden object scenes and some are interactive. That's always a fun plus to games. There are quite a few mini games too. Some were a bit challenging and really made you think. That's a good thing in an adventure game! There are achievements to acquire. Be on the look out for postcards to collect. There are 20, we only found 19, so we missed one achievement. We finished the main game in 3 hours & 45 minutes. We didn't finish all at one time, but the game keeps track of how long you play. The bonus chapter was excellent and added over an hour of play to the game. We think this was worth the collector edition price and are glad we purchased. We did not use the strategy guide, so we cannot comment on how useful it was. There is now a sequel out for this game and that's next on our list to try.
We enjoyed this game. We finished the demo with 19 minutes left of the hour and used a free game credit to get the full version. We wanted to see how the game continued since at the end of the demo it stated "captivating plot, 15 characters, 23 locations, 20 mini games and numerous hidden object scenes. The story is based on dreams of the cartoon like characters and that some may come true if different decisions were made in the course of their life. We just finished playing the 2nd character scene and it was lots of fun. You really had to think about what was needed to advance in the game. The journal helped and kept track of all clues found. There are no voice overs, but that's okay with us. You do have the option to skip the reading parts, but that would take most of the fun out of this game. There are some sound effects that make the game sort of funny in a lot of the scenes and some of the interaction between the characters is hilarious! The art is unique and quite clever. The cursor turns red with a gear when there is a situation you need to interact with. The hints for scenes will let you know if there is nothing at the time to do in that situation and does not count as used. The hidden object scenes are not real difficult and some have been interactive. All in all, we thought this game was very fun to play. We haven't finished so we cannot comment on the length of play.
The graphics, sound and game play in this game is fantastic in every way! There are controls to change volume on music, voices and ambient sound. You can select your choice of cursor and also change the lighting. There are regular & find the fragment hidden object scenes, as well as finding various other objects throughout the adventure. The games and/or puzzles are not too difficult. You can find coins in the scenes to add the location to a map. The map is interactive so you can click on the location and teleport right to it. This is a great feature, as there is back & forth to use the objects in your inventory. There is so much to do in this game and you're always thinking about where you can use the object you just found. We played the demo for both the single & collector edition of this game. We purchased the Collector edition.
This collector edition is a purchase for us! The graphics and sound are excellent. There are regular and find the parts hidden object scenes, plus picking up various objects on the way through your adventure. The games and/or puzzles are not too difficult. You can find coins in the scenes to add the location to a map. The map is interactive, so you can click the location you want to teleport to. That feature is great as there is back and forth to use the items from your inventory. We rarely complete a game in one sitting, so we have no comment on the length and we didn't use the strategy guide in the hour demo. There are lots of areas to visit and you are always thinking where can I use this object! There are tabs for inventory, goals and objects at the bottom of the screen. There are controls for changing volume on music, voices and ambient sound. You can also change the lighting and your cursor. This game is great fun!
We wanted to love the game because of the story line. We couldn't finish playing because of the motion sickness resulting from the 360 degree style of navigation. The graphics were good. Only choice for sound was on or off. This will not be a purchase for us, but any game is worth trying. You may like it.
We played the demo for about 1/2 hour and decided the game was not for us. The fairy tale story line was cute and the hidden object scenes were fun, but it was find the pieces of objects rather than find the object. There was a map, a diary and the opportunity to find diamonds. There were also some scenes where you needed to find a number of certain objects. It was a fun game, but not one we would purchase. It is geared towards younger players. Any game is worth trying, though.

Fairway ™ Collector's Edition
Spend some time on the Fairway and take on challenging courses! Try to stay under par in this amazing Card game!
This sequel to the original Fairway Solitaire is just as much fun with a few changes and challenges. There are many trophies to win. There are many items to buy in the store to help you achieve the scores need to advance in the game. The movie clips of the gopher are hilarious! There is a "fever" game to play that requires you to play as fast as possible to achieve great scores. It is a great addition to the original game. A couple of things that we didn't enjoy that were in the first game was the commentators comments were not as funny and the "help" items couldn't be sold back in case you needed extra money to buy something else or to enter a random game. All in all, it is a great game and one that can be played over & over.
