Okay, I have the first WP game and thoroughly enjoyed it, fruit cake clown and all. I almost bought this one without demoing first, but glad I didn't. It just doesn't play that well (surprising for this dev#. Very nice graphics and music. HOGs okay, although a whole lot of them and very simple games. Hint system nice, except I didn't care for the bear blowing up the balloon. You can't tell from watching, how much longer you have before it's completely blown up.
I never use the game cursor because they are always too big and clunky looking. I much prefer the standard arrow, so always click that off. However, the standard cursor doesn't work well in this one at all. It wouldn't pick up items and was extremely frustrating. Seemed to work better when I went back to the custom cursor #still don't like them#.
I really wanted to get this game, especially with the special today, but I may think on it a bit first. This is the second game in a week that has given me problems and I rarely have difficulty with any of the games. This one goes in my puddle for now #they only go in the pond with I buy them).
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may find this works great for you. Thanks for the reviews.
I recommend this game!

Very nice graphics and game play. Liked the music (unusual for me). HOGs were fun and a bit different for a change. Nice hint system with quick recovery. Nice voice overs (always a plus for me...brings a game to life). I did find CD Ward a bit of a dork and very nerdy looking, but it works.
SG had a lot of holes, e.g. put this item there and go do this. It didn't say where to go to do this, just do it. You actually had to look at the pictures in the SG to see where you were suppose to go. Other than that, it was okay.
Games were very easy, and didn't take much thought to accomplish so far. This is a simple game and easy to figure out what you need to do with a particular item (especially if you explore a scene before you leave it like I do#.
All that being said, I did enjoy the game, even though there was a lot of running back and forth for only one item most of the time. I am going to purchase today and see what happens #again, a no brainer, but I like it well enough to buy it).
As always, try the game for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.

Very nice game. I have the first Phantasmat and really liked that one. This one seems better. Maybe it's the exceptional graphics. Excellent game play. Like the choice between HOGs and match 3 (I like to switch between the two occasionally). Very nice SG and quick hint recovery. I even liked the music!
This game had me from the first sentence and kept my interest through the demo, even though I figured out the story when meeting the very first "person." I find the need to continue and see what happened. It is a definite buy for me...especially with today's special.
I graded the story line down one (actually only a half) because I have figured out what happened, just don't know how or why yet. Finding out is the fun part.
As always, try the game for yourself and see if it is to your liking. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.

I have #2 and liked it. Not too sure about this one. Graphics are cartoony, but clear. Voice overs seem to go in and out (either have them or don't), and voice overs really make a game more interesting. Game play nice. Games simple but take some thought.
The one thing I especially did not care for is how hard it is to find objects. I like a good hunt, but when my eyes start to burn from looking over and over again, it takes all the fun out of the game. I found myself just clicking all over the dark areas and found a number of items that way. Again, it takes all the fun out of it when you have to do that.
Even with the special today, I'm not sure I want this one. Too bad, could be a very nice game. This goes in my puddle for a "maybe later" game.
As always, try it for yourself. We all have different tastes in games and you may find this one quite enjoyable...and your eyes may be sharper than mine. Thanks for the reviews.

Puppets again...really? Nothing original in this game. Graphics weren't bad, but the color, or lack thereof, was depressing. This is winter, it's already dark and ugly. I do not care for the monochrome "color" of this game at all. This made the already very small items even harder to find in the HOGs.
There is no jump map (always a plus for me), so unless you are quite awake and have a pretty good memory, you will have to run all over the place to fine out where a location was 3-4 moves ago. It at least needs a cursor that tells you what is in a general location when you point at it. The SG is okay, but again, no direction of a location, e.g. back 2, left, etc. This game needs that. Hint system good, music okay. Game play was good.
This game did not draw me in at all. it could easily have been a very nice game, but dialogue is sparse and the music get boring. I may purchase this one just to complete my points for a free game, but otherwise, this one is going in the puddle for a "maybe some day" purchase. This would be an okay game for someone who justs wants to play and do nothing else but run around and that is the only reason I am recommending it.
As always, try it for yourself. We all have different tastes in games and you may find this one quite enjoyable. Thanks for the reviews.

Well, I never cared for the other Christmas games listed on the special, but this one has me wanting to play more. Drew me in from the beginning. It is not especially challenging (gave it a 5 anyway), but enough to keep my interest and it has a very nice story line. Excellent graphics (of course, it's an Elephant game) and game play. I really like the mixture in the HOGs. Games aren't difficult, but a couple take a bit of thought. Music very nice. Helpful hint button and fairly fast return, and a nice SG.
It sounds like this game is not up to the usual long Elephant level, but I really like it and will purchase. Since I don't want any of the other games they have listed on the special, I will wait for December 1 to get this one, unless something very special comes out tomorrow and I need extra to make my points.

I also have the first Murder, She Wrote and really liked it...something not dark and spooky for a change (althought I do like those as well). The graphics seem a bit better with this one, same music, same HOGs (a bit dark in some places and difficult to find typewriter letters in some as well-not hard to fill in the blanks anyway). Games are quite simple (I assume the paint thing is a game).
Seems a bit shorter than the first one and not as many places to explore. Didn't knock me off my chair with excitement either but I liked it and I am going to buy it.

Yes, I too can remember that day quite well. For some reason, using this particular incident in history just seems a bit disrespectful (for lack of a better word)...I think because they use Kennedy as a ghost! Would have been better if they used an "unknown" for that particular part. Just my personal opinion.
That aside, the graphics were okay (a bit old school), sound good, but no music to keep you interested. Hint used even if it just tells you what direction to go to. Game play a little choppy.
This game did not keep my attention, nor did it make me want to run out and get it to see what happens. Personally, I don't think this is even worth the SE price, so not a buy for me. I gave this one a 2.5 actually..wish we had half stars.

Excellent graphics and game play. Very nice voice-overs, but I do love a good English/British accent. Nice music and I even like the sound you get when you find a HOG item (very nice for a change). HOGs nice and games not difficult but do take a bit of thought.
Would be nice to have a jump map, with all the running back and forth. Already gone through a pair of tennis shoes this morning with just the demo. There is a great deal of diagloge, which is nice, but a bit over done. You can't click through it to hurry it along and skipping it completely takes away from the game. As I said, there is a lot of it.
Really enjoyed this game and have the need to find out how it ends (I'm sure I already know, but what the heck). I actually gave this game a 4.75, simply because the story line if not really new. It is a very nice game and I am going to purchase this one.

Haven't had any good SE games for quite some time, but this one is not a bad game at all. Graphics nice, game play nice. Music good. HOGs simple and so are the games.
No real challenge with this one, but it was a bit fun. At least enough for me to use a credit on it today. This game would definitely have benefited from voice-overs, and with the various people in the game, you could have had some real fun with different voices. I can just hear the biker's growl. As I said, a buy for me...nice game for a rainy day like today.
