The artwork made this game for me. I must save my sister from death as she has become involved with a wealthy killer of wives (4). I travel into each talented wife's vividly colored world to put her spirit at peace. The puzzles were simple, but beautifully done. The HOs had numerous multiple finds (4x leaf, 3x button...) some objects were tiny, others unrecognizable, but again the artwork and relativity to the game's theme made them enjoyable. There is a delay penalty for overclicking. The game is a long one and well worth the players time and money.
Older-type game with plenty of HOs ( sometimes ambiguous objects),simple puzzles and a predictable story line. The collectible has only three parts and the vampires don't have much motivation, but, the artwork is good and the game's flow is pleasant. I got this game on sale and am well pleased. If the player is looking for the ultimate in HO games, this is not it. Enjoyable, fun and worth the time and money.
Have been playing for several weeks and enjoy checking in on the family several times a day. I am a big fan of VIRTUAL VILLAGERS and this game is similar. The soundtrack is relaxing and the game moves nice and slowly. The cat is realistic in his interaction with the family and his surroundings (like sleeping on the beds, watching the birdhouse and scratching the sofa). Perhaps I am easy to please, but VIRTUAL FAMILIES is right up my alley.
Islanders are here again! Become part of a new adventure and help the shaman get his true appearance back! Follow them in a fascinating journey through time and make new friends!
That's what the demos are for. I pushed my way through the demo and decided not to purchase the game. Rarely play a demo and then not buy, but this game is not for me. The scenes are overcrowded and small; the graphics try for too much color and end up fussy (not fuzzy); the puzzles are easy if the demo holds true for the entire game. ELEPHANT GAMES usually makes a good game, but this time I feel they tried to meet too many criteria in one game. I don't want to become so desperate for good games that I begin to give good reviews to mediocre ones. I guess I am the odd man out, but I didn't like this game. Try it for yourself.
Louis the Clown and Mr. Dudley are back in an all-new adventure! Travel through the dark corners of history's most famous fairytales to rescue children trapped in a frightening netherworld!
Played this game "over the shoulder" of a younger player and though not for me, I am gifting this game to the princess in my family. ERS has come through again with its Spirits of Mystery series. The color and drawings are beautiful with a perfect mix of realism and fantasy. The music is somewhat militaristic for the dreamy look of the scenes, but that is minor compared to the overall quality and playability of game. The puzzles are satisfying while not so hard as to frustrate a young player. Perfect for the player wishing to be a beautiful princess in her own watercolored kingdom filled with fantastical pets.
When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…
This seems to be a kid's game immersed in a very dark adult theme. Death, destruction and fear don't make for a good time. This game is slow and unattractive. Barely pushed my way through the demo.
This game is colorful and good-looking throughout with an interesting, if predictable, storyline. The puzzles are enjoyable. There is a bit of "running around" and the ending is abrupt. The SE is worth the price.
