It would have been a good game if the visual quality had some animation in it instead of flat 2D. I hated this type of game then and I still hate it now. And yes - I was around in the 70's (and 60's and ---well you don't need to know how many more.)
Even Mario and Pac Man had more to them than this.
The storyline itself is good with the time travel etc. But the scenery is flat, colours are drab, animation very wooden with no movement other than turning where you point, bending to pick something up etc. Otherwise characters are very static.
I actually made it through 11 minutes before I got so bored with it I quit. And that included allowing everything to play through at it's own speed - which was VERY slow.
I will not be buying this one.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm not that into the creepy stuff so this game wasn't that interesting for me. Level of challenge was average as were the different games. Fine if you like the creep factor. Backgrounds were a bit dark and colourless, a bit washed out. The voice-over for the little girl reminds me a bit of the character 'Alyea' from the cult movie 'Dune' #for those of you old enough to remember it#. The games OK for those who like the creep factor, but not for me.
I don't recommend this game.

Very static, characters don't move. Any 'movement' is more like a series of stills. Very flat, no 3D. Background music plays the same few bars over and over. No voice-overs for the characters, just subtitles which you have to read. If you can speed-read you are very lucky. Could have been a game worth playing if there had been anything interesting in the animation, graphics, movement etc. As it is I found it to be extremely old hat and boring. When was it produced? Maybe 20 years ago or longer?
I don't recommend this game.

Some of the HO's were a bit dark and difficult to find the items. Took a while to figure out what to do in some of the areas - very little in the way of instructions. A couple of times when I checked the hint button I was taken back to an area which I had already been to and read the info to find out what to do. Each time I had to go elsewhere before returning, but the hint button took me back anyway. Also, the English (don't know what the original language was# was difficult to understand at times. I did figure out that 'barrued' was supposed to be 'buried', and there were a few other weird words, some that were spelled wrong, others that you had to sit and think about it for a while. Doesn't anyone use a dictionary these days? How about someone who actually speaks the language doing some proof-reading?
I'll be waiting for these and other glitches #a map would be nice and fix the hint button so it actually gives hints instead of going in circles# before I think about buying this game.
Otherwise - the storyline itself would have made for an entertaining game.
I don't recommend this game.

Instead of automatically set for your computer you have to adjust the screen resolution. Even then it doesn't seem to completely match. When I used the hint button in a couple of the HOS, it didn't show anything. I had to wait for the hint button to reload before I could use it again and it still didn't show anything. Also I tried using the hint button in a couple of the other scenes to see what it would do and each time it just took me back to an item which I had already checked out and knew that I needed another item before I could complete the scene. And both of the scenes that had happened in - there was nothing further to do there until I had found the extra item I needed - which was not in that scene. The English language used was very stilted and did not flow. The grammar was not typical English grammar. I had to sit and think about it for a few seconds before I could figure out was it was saying - and English is my first language. I don't know which language this game was first produced in but could you please get a translator who actually knows the language it is being translated in to.
The storyline seemed to be one that I would enjoy. If the game had worked better I think I might have purchased this game, but as it stands it's not worth it.
I don't recommend this game.

Flat graphics, had to click round all over to figure out where to go and what to do and how to do it. Couldn't be bothered.
Way too long for the introduction, took up far too much time. Over-all look was too cartoonish.
I don't recommend this game.

I have never been disappointed by any of the Eipix games I have tried. Some areas in individual games may be improved, but on the whole they are imaginative and well done. This particular game (and I played the full demo) played well, though it was a bit slow in the transition from some areas to others (not too many), plus the bottom edge of the HOS was a bit close to the back arrow to go out of the HOS, but nothing that could not be dealt with. You just have to remember to make sure where the cursor is before you click.
Also the graphics are clear with a good 3D effect for a flat screen and no 3D glasses. The sounds are not monotonous, though sound effect preferences are an individual thing. Some games have very boring or really over-the-top sound effects but not Eipix.
This is another game I will be buying.
I recommend this game!

Very minimal instructions - up, down, sideways - nothing to show what you need other than for some letters with a very occasional item thrown in. Do not like the navigation, very static type. It's a throwback to some of the other games which did not keep my interest for more than 10 minutes or so. Scenery very flat, needs more 3D. The so-called scary parts were very un-scary - you knew they were coming, very predictable. Needs more 'life'. I don't recommend this game.

I played the full demo. Biggest problem was the darkness on the HOG. Couldn't see the items very well. Ended up just blindly clicking all over until I hit on something. But then they're not called hidden objects for nothing. Other 'look/find' areas #plants and crystals# had no problems. Most of the crystals were easy enough, had to just look for crystal shapes for the rest.
Yes, it's an 'old fashioned' style of game. Suppose you could call me old fashioned as well seeing as how I'm older than the majority of you others who play these games #retired#. My major saving grace is I've worked on computers and in science labs since long before most of you were even born.
This game is a 'time waster' one you can play when you're killing time. It's easy enough to play, not very challenging. You just have to watch the names of items. British names are - Spanner, Lens #plural is lenses#, Plaster. American/Canadian names for these are - Wrench, Glasses or magnifying lens, Bandaid. You get the same problem with some of the other developers speaking other languages so you should be used to this by now.
Also - the way the cursor changes - you just have to keep a sharp eye on it to see when it does change. I had no problem with the hints, directions were easy enough to follow.
This game is easy enough for even the most novice of players to follow.
I'm not sure if I would purchase this game or not - maybe for something to do when I'm bored with other stuff.
I recommend this game!
