This is the game for you - just like Little Folk of Fairy...they don't die and it's more quests than breeding and the graphic is very nice. Of course cartoonistic but still very nice!
The game was good, another good HOG. But you don't need to buy the CE! The bonus chapter was very short and really just a commercial add for the next game in the series!

An eerie and entertaining experience overall. Good voiceovers, not extensive masses to read and a very nice story. Not too difficult. A bonus is the keepsake/inventory function that you toggle between. Keepsake is for your sketches and pieces of paper. Extremely easy to find the right sheet when you don't have to look through a whole book like in many HOGs!
I loved the first one (surprisingly enough since I really am more into fantasy and crime games) and this one is even better. The interactive gameplay in this one is much much better. And probably because I'm a fairy tale liking person I actually think the storyline here is also better:) Big plus: They 've kept the music! Minus: none! Sit back and enjoy!
Haven't read real romance novels since teens, prefer fantasy and crime novels as an adult, but somehow the reviews and the urge do to do something different made me download this game for trial. Then came memorial day sale next day and I bought it (still untried, though I seldom do that) and was home alone one evening without hubby and kids and thought I'd give it a try.
First scene had a Siamese cat in it and I was completely hooked (having 2 and knowing exactly why she kept so many spray bottles around the house) and the game was so engaging. No murders no supernaturals and still I couldn't wait for the next chapter! And to be honest being an old lady myself, trying to get out of a Cambodian prison actually gives me more shivers than any dark eerie fantasy game!
I play a lot of HOGs and TMS but I'm not very found of virtual strategy games normaly. I think the dragging and dropping people around is both boring and feels a bit awkward really. They usually die/get ill while I'm away so I've never bought any virtual game after the trial period.
But this one is soo different! The game do go on when you're not there but the faery ppl can't get ill or starve while you're away. The graphic is fantastic and somehow helping the tiny faery people in the Old Curiosity Shop feels perfectly natural. They're not supposed to be more than a couple of inches tall so giving them a lift by dropping them onto different locations feels absolutly natural for once.
I also like that the play area isn't too big so you risk to completely loose sight and track of you're villagers. If you play a lot of this kind of game you'll probably enjoy the graphic and the story but might think it's too easy. But it is very special so I think both experienced and new players should give it a try!

I bought this on sale and I'm so glad I did. This is much more an adventure game than an HOG. Playing for more than an hour I only had one HOS I call regular (find a lot of this and that for no obvious reason) and that was because I skipped a minigame. You got the HOS challenge instead. Apart from that it's been finding things for a purpose and playing hide and seek with Laura's gorgeous ferret a couple of times. The sound and voice over and the character animation is very good, but finding stuff can be a bit hard sometimes 'cause the background graphic is not as good. On the other hand it's a lot of interactive scenes to find things in which makes it really fun. Absolutly worth not only sale but full price!
I played the dragon staff and loved it so was thrilled by having another one. But to my utter disappointment gone was the fantastic voice over from the dragon staff and the good cinematics and the oriental music as well. The story wasn't nearly as good and the dragon staff being a real challenge this was too easy and above all super short! So save your money (and disappointment if you've already played the jade dragon staff)!
I've tried a great deal of farm TM games and even though I manage quite well at first I do become stressed after a while. Usually half an hour after trial hour is over and I've bought it:)) This one has all the features of the best farm TM games AND you can play it in relaxed untimed mood! Such a joy!
Really nice game to spend some free hours doing. I haven't done first Clutter but I think the idea is great with lots of challengeing minigames and you have quite a few ways of customizing your own play level. That you can chose how challenging the game shall be along the way makes you able to come back and play it again and again and even as you get better by training it will still be a challenge. A game for rainy days when you don't have the space to set upp a great big jigsaw puzzle in real life!
