You visit different worlds through books and have to free ghosts. I played in extreme mode, so no hints, no help, and a skip button that takes ages! In this mode, the strategy guide is needed! There are 4 books in the main part. The graphics are clear, the objects in the HOS are sometimes hard to find. The puzzles are mostly challenging. It's really interesting in this game mode, because you have to guess what to do. There is no map, but not many locations in each chapter. There is a task list. It took me 3 hours for the main part. The bonus chapter is also a bonus book. The game is as challenging as the main part, still no help! For this part I needed nearly an hour, so it's worth the money for me! For those seeking a challenge, I can only recommend to play in extreme mode! It's really nice to have no sparkles at all!
I liked the storyline. You travel through mirror, find clues and return to solve puzzles. I played in advanced mode; this is also one of the few games where there is a custom mode, that means you can decide what to turn on or off, tips, slow or fast hint recharge, etc. - The graphics are quite dark. I had sometimes problems to find objects in the HOS. - The puzzles are easy. I liked that you have to hide the clues you found before using them afterwards. - The journal is ok, more a summary of the story than a help for the puzzles. - There is no map, but once you finish a location, you get the notice "area cleared". It took me 2 hours to finish the main part. The bonus chapter took me 30 minutes. All in all, a interesting but short game, and also a bit too dark.
I liked the storyline. Find a crazy guy... There is only one game mode. - The sounds and music are good, not annoying. - The graphics are clear. - The objects in the HOS are easy to find. - The puzzles are really interesting, some are unique. They go from easy to quite challenging. - The journal is helpful, since it contains the clues you have found so far. - There is no map, but the game is linear, so no chance to get lost. - There are 20 morphing objects to find. You'll need 10 to unlock the wallpapers, 15 to unlock the artwork. I found only 13... This is the kind of game, where you don't want to make a break! It took me 2 1/2 hours for the main part. The bonus chapter is really worth it. Some of the puzzles are really challenging! It took me 1 hour for this part, so for me, it was worth the money.
You have to find your son by searching in various paintings. I played in expert mode. - The graphics are really nice, crisp. - The HOS are clear, easy. - The puzzles are also easy. - There is a good journal. - There is a map pro chapter that shows you where there are tasks. You are also told when a location is complete. - There are coins to collect, but they are only used to buy trophies. - There are not too many dialogs, which is right for me. There are 6 chapters. It took me about 30 minutes pro chapter. The bonus of the CE contains screensavers, artwork and the possibility to play each chapter again separately, but with nothing new. So nothing special. All in all, a cute and easy game, a bit too easy for me.
I liked the storyline, an innocent man seeking revenge and a moving house. I played in expert mode. - The sound and graphics are good. The HOS are clear. - The puzzles are mostly easy, sometimes challenging. - There is no map, although it would have been useful. - There is a journal, more a summary of the whole story, than a real help. The game is not very long: it took me a bit less than 2 1/2 hours to finish. The bonus chapter took me about 30 minutes. It's not really worth the money, unless you like wallpapers, etc.
It's nice to have a different story: statues coming alive, some fighting you, others helping you on your journey. I played in advance mode, so no sparkles. - The sound is great. - The graphics are crisp. The HOS are clear. - The puzzles go from easy to challenging. - There is no journal. - There is an interactive map: you see where there is something to do, and when you click, it brings you to that location. There are many locations, there is a lot to do. The statues are great, the voice adding to the atmosphere. It really is a different story and I had a great time playing! It took me a bit more than 3 hours to finish.
You have to search for artifacts in various locations. I played in expert mode. - The graphics are just wonderful! The atmosphere gives you the feeling of being in the game. - This game is more adventure than HOG. So there are not many HOS. The objects are easy to find. - The puzzles are just right, not too easy, not impossible to solve. - The hint system is very good. You can get more hints by shooting ghosts. - The journal is very helpful. - There is no map, but you won't get lost since there are not many location pro chapter. - There are not many dialogs, so the flow of the game is not interrupted. - You can get trophies, for example for finding specific objects, for using no hints, for the number of ghost you shot, etc. I needed a bit more than 3 hours for the main game, and about 1 hour for the bonus chapter, so it's worth the money. All in all, a great game with great graphics, logical storyline, and enough challenge not to get bored!
I liked the "old-style"graphics. The storyline is interesting. This is more and adventure than a HOS game. The puzzles are quite easy. The journal contains all the clues you found. The map shows you where there is a task, and you need it since there are many locations. The hint system is good. This game reminds me of the first 3D games and it's really different from what we get usually today. I played in advanced mode and it took me 4 1/2 hours to finish, a good length.
I loved this one, even more than "The painted tower". I played in expert mode. The sound is really good. The graphics are wonderful again. The storyline is interesting. The puzzles are from easy to quite challenging. I needed the good hint system quite a number of times. I liked this game because you really have to use your imagination, between drawing, cutting, real and virtual objects. The game is long, about 5 hours for me. The "Drawn" games are really unique!
I liked the storyline: many murders in a remote hotel! I played in expert mode. - There are not too many dialogs which I prefer. - The graphics are really crisp! - The objects in the HOS are easy to find. There are not too many of them, so it's more adventure than HO. - The puzzles are quite easy. - The journal is useful; it contains the clues you found to solve the puzzles, so no need to remember everything. - There is a good map that shows you where there are tasks. It took me 3 hours to finish and I enjoyed my time!
