I loved everything about this fun game. Lots of hops and minis and a fun story. Artwork was another delight with a lot of color and the music was so relaxing. I even enjoyed the 'missed translations' and made figuring them out part of the game : ) Loved it ! :) I'm giving this sweetheart of a game a full 5 ***** out of 5 on my personal enjoy-ability scale.
I really liked the graphics/visuals, story-line, sounds/music and voice-overs but did not much enjoy the Mini-game heavy gameplay period ! I thank the Dev's for their innovated story and graphic but please -- more hidden object scenes. The only thing I did not care for was the lack of what to do in a few mini-games but I ether worked it out or skipped it when I started gritting my teeth I did have a problem finding the collectables and finally gave up since I missed something about just what I was supposed to be looking for. So I'm chalking this game up to a visual change of pace and do not know if I will get another one as I played all the previous ones. This one gets a 3 *** and 1/2 * on my personal enjoyability scale.
I really agree with the positive Reviews my fellow Fishies have written. It was really refreshing to play a game with a different storyline i.e.; the sizes of everyday objects. The text said several times to do something to the 'cradle' which I assumed was a translation error till I googled images, cradle, LOL, glad I did plus I learned something new : ) I also like the way it's so easy to find out if I missed any collectables : ) I liked it & recommend anyone that would like a little change of pace and give it a try. This one is getting a ***** out of 5* on my personal enjoy-ability scale.
I totally enjoyed everything about this game : ) The graphics, story-line, music, colorful, hops and even most all of the mini-games. [ on the Minis, I usually skip the ones that seem to be wearing out my Mouse's clicker ; ) LOL ] I agree with my fellow Fishies Positive Reviews and recommend it as a very relaxing & enjoyable fantasy story. I'm giving this beauty a full ***** out of 5* on my personal enjoy-ability scale : )
I was pleasantly surprised at what an enjoyable game this turned out to be. Even the mini-games were mostly fun. The background music was very pleasant and the graphics , even in the hops were good. The storyline was interesting and kept my interest awake This was the first (but not the last) Donna Brave game I have played. [ Loved the Parrott scenario ] This one I'm giving a **** & 1/2* on my personal enjoy-ability scale : )
I would have given more stars if we could go back at the end of the game and find the missed collectables but that doesn't seem to be the great Pachyderms desire : ( I do agree with the positive Reviews by my fellow Fishies, but having just completed playing the game I'm still in let-down mode about not finding all the collectables . There are never enough hidden object scenes for me but the mini-games were pretty good. Give this Chimeras a try and you may really like it.
Beyond: Star Descendant has been sleeping in my GM since 10/23/17 and I just got around to playing it. I did not expect to like it but boy was I surprised :) You can read some excellent story-lines reviews so well written by some of my fellow Fishies but I just have to say I really liked it [ ;) even the cute tiny Chameleon rolling his eyes :) in one of the hops] Don't get me wrong, this is not a 'perfect game' but I found it different in many smell ways and also found myself using the dreaded hint button more than once LOL ! By the way, I do like Sci-Fi but never have play a sci-fi game before an I have hundreds of games in my collections. If you are looking for a 'something a little different, give this one a try.
I know that a lot of my fellow Fishies in this pond have likes and preferences different than mine so I am not letting my personal like of the minis affect recommend or not recommend. This was an okay game but I personally do not like Mini-games that require me to click my mouse as fast as possible or have one of those 'Fence in the bad chip [or what-ever] and don't let it reach the edge". & believe it or not that was what the last mini-game of the bonus chapter, Grrrrrrrrrrrr ! The graphics, music, voice-overs and basic storyline were good but those 'click-click-click-click-click-click' minis---yuck!
When I bought this I did not expect to enjoy playing it so much as I rarely play theatrical style games with the comedy-tragedy masks ( I have no idea why ether ). Imho the developers put a lot into this game with a good storyline, graphics and it was colorful. The jump map worked good as well as the hints. What keeps me from giving a 5* is the lack of instructions for some of the minis and since there is no walk-through it left me scratching my head till I figured out what was expected ; ) {not really used to games that forces me to use a little grey-matter ;) } I think this was a well spent PCC and am glad I choose it. I generally use my PCC for games from new (for me) Developers and land up many times following them hoping for more :)
I found this to be a basically enjoyable fantasy {I love fantasy hogs} game but again there were too many minis and very few hidden object scenes. The colors, sounds jump map, character's, etc.. were pretty good but when I think I'm buying a HOG I would like for the number of minis to hogs to be close to equal, just sayin. I'm recommending this for those of you that enjoy simple minis and few hogs. Gameplay is not difficult and is a nice interlude between grey-matter heavy more intense games.
