Unearth magic portals and travel through mystical gateways, conversing and helping various ghosts through mysterions lands, whilst following Edwin's rash attempts to find relics. The dialogue entails a bit of reading to find out what's what but it is not over done. The background music tends to become a bit monotonous. The graphics are clear, colourful and well drawn and some of the scenery is quite breathtaking. The puzzles are intriguing and quite ingenious with out being too difficult. The hidden objects are not the usual type with piles of junk to sift through but instead, looking for machine parts and devices which when assembled and placed correctly, uncover the next part of the game. The loading at the begining and between scenes
takes too long and the ending is a bit of a disappointment, but overall a good interesting, and enthralling game.
I recommend this game!

The mayor of Anozira and a co-opted group of towns folk are committed to restoring tourism to this little western town and whilst in the process of travelling around collecting a series of postcards along the way. A nominated person from the above group describes various aspects of the town as he collects the post cards. There is not much dioalogue other than this. The background music is quite catchy. The graphics are clear, precise and colourful but having said this, a good number of the hidden objects are very difficult to locate and a hint is needed. You are given 5 hints and you can build up more hints (up to 5) by finding hint tokens in each scene during the game. You can also find time tokens for adding more time and also skip tokens. The is also a fast find bonus. The puzzles and mini games are basically jig saw puzzles games, moving and rotating pieces and shuffle puzzles plus others. I found it to be quite an enjoyable and entertaining game.
I recommend this game!

Jessica - Mysterious Journey in my opinion left a lot to be desired. The story line and plot escaped me for quite a while and seemed to have no purpose or destibation. I think, which finally occurred to me near the end of the game, the purpose was to discover ancient treasure. The dialogue was of a comic book style which did not give nearly enough time to read and digest and consequently made it very mundane and unenjoyable. The graphics were not of the usually high standard but were only reasonably clear. The puzzles and mini games did not provide much of a challenge. The hidden objects were of two types - one of shapes which were very hard to find in most cases and the second were standard hidden objects, the list of which was very hard to decipher and read. I have definately played better games.
I don't recommend this game.

Mary, and investigative journalist, has to save her friends wedding by unearthing a callous thief who stole valuable artifacts which were to be her inheritance. This is a very easy going, basic, down to earth and simple game which does not not tax the old grey cells a great deal. There are no voice overs and there is not excessive dialogue either as you traverse the scenes and uncover a good and feasable story line. The graphics are clear, well defined and colourful. The puzzles and mini games are intriguing some challenging others unique and ingenious and all a pleasure to play. The hidden objects are very reasonable to find but a couple take a little more effort. It was a pleasure to play this game and left me in a vey relaxed mood looking for something similar. A good change from the high adventure and deep puzzle games.
I recommend this game!

The plot is to stop a magician's ghost and to free trapped souls that are haunting the woods and to find and stop a villain before it is too late. Not that spectacular and nothing out of the ordinary but it is still a servicable game. There are no voice overs and there is minimal reading that does not bog you down. The graphics are good, clear and precise and colourful. The puzzles and mini games are quite detailed and some are a bit tricky to try and fathom out but all are good and entertaining. Some of the hidden objects are a bit hard to find as they blend in with the somewhat dark backgrounds in a few scenes. Some are quite easy to find whilst others require closer inspection and a bit of a hint.
I recommend this game!

Together and with the help of a friendly 'demon', Brunhilda has to explore mystical worlds in a quest to save the magic realm in a mystical, magical and fantasy game.
The dialogue, though most of it is necessary, is too much to the stage of becoming annoying. Each character talks their way through the game and if you did decide to turn off the volume you can read what is being said as well. The demon anthough being a bit of a character and comes out with some comical statements does rasp on a bit. The graphics are clear and colourful but just being a tad dark in some places. The mini games and puzzles are mainly gethering drops and comparing runes amongst others and are mainly quite simple. Most of the hidden objects are very small and require quite a bit of help from the hint 'demon'. The last chapter is a little disappointing being quite dark and the hidden objucts very hard to find. Over all a good game and quite enjoyable.

The studies of reincarnation by a professor and his student are interrupted by a kidnapping and a murder and it is up to the student to explore the past and find the culprits. There was very little dialogue, only when the hint was pressed was there guidance and prompts to the next part of the game. The music was different for each scene and was quite tuneful and easy to listen to. The graphics were really good, clear and detailed if not just a tad dark in very few scenes. The puzzles and mini games were quite intriguing and a number needed a good deal of nutting out which was quite challenging and others were reasonably simple without being too easy. Some of the hidden objects are easy others are very tricky to find and the hint button when used is a little slow to recharge. A very good game which only enhances the reputation that Collectors Edition games ( with their built in strategy guide which eliminates leaving the game to find help) have built up since their introduction. I will look forward to playing the others in the series.
I recommend this game!

Why was this game entitled any thing to do with Bigfoot. The game had virtually very little to do with the mythical creature and any reference to the legend was finalised fairly early in the game. What the game was all about was the unveiling of shady actions relating to a chemical company's illegal dumping of waste materials and clandestine production of a secret elixir. The dialogue and voice overs were adequate enough to keep you abreast of the unfolding adventure and the graphics were colourful clear with plenty of detail. The puzzles and mini games were varied, with jig saw type games, maze games match 3 and loads more, all of which were reasonably easy to solve. The hidden objects were a little more challenging as they were found in up to three locations for each stanza and you had to switch back and forth constantly as the items on the list were revealed. Some were also very well hidden. This game is for staunch hidden object buffs but had precious little to do with Bigfoot. It was still quite a reasonable game, I liked it.

Robin is a Woman!!!!! She and her husband are imprisoned by the evil Prince John. She must escape and form her band of merrymen, pay back the unfair taxes to the poor from gold gleaned by the Prince's unscrupulous henchmen, defeat Prince John and free her husband. The voice overs are typical of the era and the music is akin to what you would expect from a court jester. Graphics are good clear and precise. Some of the puzzles and mini games are pretty involved and take some nutting out, others are reasonably easy but all are entertaining. The hidden objects are enhanced by the occasional use of each of the merrymen's unique traits to unearth useful objects required for the game, a great concept. All standard hidden objects are clear and colourful and reasonable to find. The 'area clear' sign prevents superflous searching and clicking. An excellent game well worth the money and time.

The Elixir of Immortality is exactly what you are trying to find whilst trying to catch a murderer and endeavouring to prevent him striking again and finally escape this treacherous and mysterious island. The music is pleasing and easy to listen to, there are no voice overs and you don't get bogged down in excessive dialogue. The graphics are bright and colourful and detailed, in some places just a tad dark. There is quite a bit of moving around and backtracking but I think this added to the mystery and excitement of the game - not expecting what is about to happen next. The diary indicated the tasks at hand and sometimes where to go. The puzzles and minigames were very reasonable and not too troublesome but some did require a bit of extra thought. The hidden objects were colourful and ranged from quite simple to find through to some being tricky and requiring a hint or two. There were a couple of places where the walk through blog was needed but when it was consulted it was only then I realised how elementary it was after all. A very good game, I enjoyed it.
I recommend this game!
