HOG games are not my usual passion, but when I just want to relax or occupy my hands while I am watching the news, this is a great game to turn to. I prefer playing untimed, but there are three choices of difficulty.
I enjoyed the London themed adventure and the Wonders of the World did not disappoint. There are scenes from all over the world and dozens of hidden objects on each scene. In addition to find listed items, there are versions where pairs are searched for or silhouettes. And, in each scene, five peace signs, 3 magic eight balls and five special icons can be collected during the various plays of that level. Accruing these items will unlock bonus episodes.
One of the best features of this game, are the mini-games between the levels. Match three, jigsaw puzzles, word search, spot the difference, mah jong, etc. These puzzles are big and colorful, but will only take a few minutes. They have improved them since the London adventure. The puzzle pieces can now all be scene on one screen, rather than having to rotate through slide. I also prefer the English letters to the hyrogliphics featured in the last game.
I enjoyed this and will purchase further games in the series.
This game follows the adventures of fashion designer Angela Napoli, sister to Delicious Emily. If you like that series, you should like this one. I enjoyed this 5th episode of Fabulous Angela - it is a big improvement over the last in the series. While there are still loads of mini-games, many have been moved into separate levels, so they do not interrupt the game play flow.
I like to play in, "relaxed", mode and was angry when they removed the difficulty options in the fourth game. I was not able to complete all the levels. While there are still no difficulty levels, the game is structured differently, so that levels may be repeatedly played over and the score builds, rather than restarting from zero. I often had to play a level more than once, but I was able to get a full score by the third time through.
I did not like the human sound effects during the story scenes. Rather than just relying on music and speech bubbles, the developers included laughs, sighs, mmmms, ohs, etc. It just sounds cheesy.
There is a lot going on in this game. Upgrades to the store, the products and to Angela, herself, can be purchased with coins, diamonds and hearts - which are earned during game play. I was blown away by the quantity of game play and bonus levels. There are six locations and over 240 levels.
Overall, this is an incredible value and hours of fun.
The sound is on or off. The music is on or off. There is one level of difficult and no relaxed play. It is still a Fabulous Angela game and if you liked the previous ones, this one is worth having. But, it is disappointing that you cannot tailor it to your preferences. And, the stupid mini-games are still present.
I love the Delicious Emily series and I was hoping for another storyline with Fabulous Angela. The first two in this series - Fashion Fever and High School Reunion - were a joy to play. And, the story line and colorful backgrounds are here.
But, Weddiing Disaster is a slog. I hate when a secondary screen pops up and stops the flow of motion and play, especially with some stupid, click, click, click or swipe, swipe. And, every level has multiple tasks that must be clicked and swiped before game play continues. Horrible.
On top of that, there are no options to slow down. No casual or challenge speeds. I play for relaxation, so I find it stressful. I have been playing for years but there were several levels I could not squeak out a three stars score. This will be the last Fabulous Angela I buy.
In the same line as "Delicious Emily": 3 levels of play, mice to catch, trophies to earn and a cute story line. Six different restaurants, so it doesn't get boring. The mice pop up in random locations, which is unusual, but they are not hidden behind objects. I would like to see more of this story line.
So happy to have found this series; I have been replaying the Northern Tale and Roads of Rome series until I am sick of them.
There are 25 levels with 2 rounds each and an "invitation challenge", which you do not need to complete in order to move on. Some of those challenges are hard!
Emily manages different food scenarios. They are inventive and fun, but what makes the game is the good story line. She is planning her wedding, battling her soon-to-be mother-in-law and traveling to several different establishments that offer a nice variety of food and services.
I played this game three times in a row, then, went back and played the other Delicious Emily I own. You do not need to play them in order - they stand alone, but they do form a continuous plot line.
This is the 2nd Delicious Emily I have played, so I have not been along for the entire series. But, I will be purchasing the rest.
You are a nurse, tending to patients. Send them to the appropriate place, fetch medicine, take them to get MRI, X-ray, EEG, etc,, sterilize equipment, change beds, etc. And each new hospital has different medicines and services.
I don't like stressful play and I didn't think I would like it at first, even in the "relaxed" mode, but I was wrong. I kept playing the beginning levels, earning more and more cash for further upgrades, until the game got to my comfort level.
And, the mini-games are a variation of Webkinz, "Smoothie Moves", which I haven't seen in quite a while and was always one of my favorites.
For comparison, my other favorite series are: Roads of Rome, Northern Tale, My Kingdom for a Princess and Incredible Dracula.
If you liked the first three, you will like this. I saw a few complaints about the visual quality, but that is a matter of taste. I love that they tried something different. Dracula is drawn into playing a board game with the God Loki, so the characters look like various game pieces - origami people, plastic figures and Legos. Kudos for the imagination.
There is a certain sameness of Time Management games. This slightly, "tongue-in-cheek" version of a vampire running away from a would-be girlfriend is a nice change. I like to play in the relaxed mode, but I first, try to gold the game on regular difficulty. There were a few levels that took several tries and, even a couple I had to restart, because my logic failed me. But, very doable. For comparison, I love Northern Tale, My Kingdom for a Princess, Building the Great Wall of China and Roads of Rome.
Embark on an epic journey across the Chinese Empire and build the greatest structure known to mankind - The Great Wall of China - in this exciting time management game.
I don't like a lot of tenseness in my play. This game has a few levels you need to play a couple of times to "gold", but overall, it is a relaxing and pleasant game.
