Match-3 games are a perfect way to unwind. I always play on the relaxed setting and take my sweet time. The tiles are bright and fun. The board layouts are varied. There are the usual barriers to get around and several special tile combinations which will produce a missile or bomb. The bomb combos are a little different than the previous game, but close enough that the Laruaville fan will not have to scroll through the instructions. Match-three game play is interspersed with four different mini-games: Mah jong, blocks (road race), spot the difference and find the object. If you do not care for a particular game, you will be able to opt out after skipping it several times. While generally, I do not enjoy spot the difference or find the object games, these are so well crafted, I play them all. One note of personal preference. I like mah jong, but I play for relaxation and do not like a deliberately tough board. For the first time, Laruaville has added blank tiles which cannot be removed to add to the challenge. I can see how this might appeal to many people, but I do not want to have to replay mah jong to find the sequence that will remove all the tiles. Perhaps in the next game, the creators can remove those unmovable tiles form the relaxed-easy mode. I still love this game and look forward to more variations.
Emily never fails to entertain. I purchase every new Delicious game sight-unseen. Personally, I play the easiest mode for relaxation, but there are three modes of play for people who like greater challenge. Between regular levels and bonus levels, there are 90 rounds to play. With points earned, you can power-up with enhanced kitchen items. Completing objectives will earn diamonds to create a wedding venue while Emily and Francois solve a mystery. I like that I can replay a level to earn additional points.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." A classic time-management, gather resources game. I enjoy playing on relaxed and the background music seems very appropriate to the time period. The botanist returns, planting flowers that will produce resources or gather ones far from home base. And, the hidden objects are really well done, with a rainbow appearing when the curser is rolled over them. A note about the last level, the bonus round. On my laptop, it is playable but there is NO button or anything that says level #41. I wouldn't have even known it existed if it weren't for the fact it was listed on the achievements and hidden object guides. When you have finished all levels, click the green "NEXT" button on the top right. The level will load. Great game.
This is a fun and relaxing match three series. I own every one and it has some changes over the years. The rising balloons from #14 are gone. The bomb format has been tweaked a little - bombs are formed with specific combinations of specific tiles. Its fine. The side games include Mah Jong, Find the Difference and a Block game like "Rush Hour". I miss the Hidden Object game, which I feel they did very well. Since I am not a fan of the block game, I like the feature that allows you to permanently skip all of one type of game after three individual "skip" clicks. I thought the alien theme was quite inventive. And the match three tiles are colorful and easy to distinguish. I will keep buying these games.
I love this series and was truly happy to see an new title after several years. I think the characters and story line remain true. If you liked it in the past, you'll like it now. I play on the easiest level, for relation and enjoyment. I loved it and look forward to replaying it on harder and harder settings. Minor complaints: I would agree that there are too many mini-games within the main storyline. And, I never got any credit for spending the diamonds and buying the variation in Emily's Kitchen. But, that is more of a trophy glitch and didn't impact the play at all. I will definitely continue to purchase this series.
This is every bit as enjoyable as the rest of the series. Calming music, lovely scenes and a lot for your money.
This game has a new feature which highlights the items to be found on the current screen. Now, you don't have to search through the area only to realize it is on a pop-up window. I also like the new scroll magnification to find the level of enlargement that works for me.
I have encountered a glitch that others have pointed out. On the occasional level, items are missing. However, when I exit out and replay the level, it is fine. And, during regular play, there are no match 3 games, which were my favorite. But there are still a nice variety of mini-games.
I always try to appreciate when developers add new ideas. Sometimes, however, consider the phrase, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Fans of Laruaville will recognize it, but there are several new wrinkles such as balloons that move up instead of bombs moving down. Also, the sliding tile game (like Rush Hour board game) is back instead of the solitaire. Personally, I preferred the old ways. But, I did like the new side panel which allowed you to replay each of the last variation of game, either the main game or one of the side games like Mahjong, find the difference or the sliding tiles.
I enjoyed the graphics which were nice and bright and the tiles were distinct from each other. It was nice to create an Asian village with our friendly ghosts.
I will continue to buy the series and hope that they will return to combo creating bombs, etc. But, this was fun, too.
I purchased and downloaded the collector's edition without a problem on my Windows 10 laptop.
I understand what other reviewers mean about the flower repositories, but it does not impact my game play. The "pick up " zone for highlighting the item and receiving the resource is very, very small, so it can take time. If you are playing an a timed level, I could see where it might be a problem.
Once, I had a glitch where, after I cleared an obstacle in the road, it did not disappear and I could not select it again so I could not proceed. I was multi-clicking all over the place which I assume was the tipping factor. However, when I replayed the level, it did not happen again.
However, this is the same great game as the rest of the series so if you liked those, this will be enjoyable as well.

I understand what other reviewers mean about the flower repositories, but it does not impact my game play. The "pick up " zone for highlighting the item and receiving the resource is very, very small, so it can take time to scroll over the object and get your cursor just right.. If you are playing an a timed level, I could see where it might be a problem.

If you enjoyed the rest of this series, don't let the lower rating detour you from this one. My criticisms are small.
I did like the "rainbow" feature above the hidden objects in the past episodes. That is gone and the objects do not even highlight when you scroll over them. I do not find them that easy to spot, as some people have claimed. I wind up clicking on every stray object or stick poking up behind a tree. Also, the "click on an achievement" trophy seems to be unavailable to me. I have clicked many achievements to no avail.
It is true that the Collector's Edition does not offer much extra, so you may wish to get the standard version. I would have like to seen a stratgy guide with hidden object locations.
