I enjoy this series for a decent storyline, and enjoyable level of challenge and play for me. I note that some reviewers are dinging the game for the need to mouseover resources briefly if you cannot wait for them to post, but this is the same as in all previous and nothing new, nor is it a big deal once you realise this quirk of the game.
TBH, I had wondered what else they could do for a sequel and was sad to think I had only the earlier games to replay, so imagine my delight to find this offered! I bought it directly and am enjoying playing it now. Try it and see if you do not enjoy this cute little game.
I recommend this game!

Season 1 of this game was my favorite TM game, ever, and I have been eagerly awaiting this second part to be released. It has not disappointed me yet. The graphics have been amped up a bit, but everything else I loved about it remains and it is a familiar game world to be back in. Like the first, it has four levels to choose from, including relaxed. There are caches to be found, roots to kill off, and an interesting story line.
This review is based on the demo only, but this is a buy for me. Some have equated this with the Adelantado series and while there are similarities, such as you decide where to build and what, and it has an interesting storyline, that is about all, in my opinion.
Try it and see if you like it too.
Do try the game and see if you enjoy it as much as I did.
I recommend this game!

This is more in the style of the cooking TMs versus the resource type. You are running a family hotel and serving guests. Frankly, I despise the cooking TMs, I do not like stress in a game after a long day. This game though came as a surprise. I ran out of demo time, was still playing, and that is rare. It gets hectic at times, but, you budget your time and when to click on the bell to get more keys to ready rooms, and the elevator to try to get more than one guest at a time for a bonus. The characters are engaging, the storyline alright, visuals were fine and it was fun. The game deserves a lot more than one star. I may well buy it if a regular version comes out. I don't go for the CEs often. My one critique is that the levels seemed short to me, but maybe that was just the fast pace. It was fun for the hour I played, unknown if it is going to ramp up later and get angry guests or stay pleasant.
Try this one, if you like TMs with a difference, and decide for yourself. It was a good experience for the demo.
I recommend this game!

Others have written the basics, it is a good game, has a nice story line, and all the usual time management types of things. Sadly, what makes it stand out for me is it is as if someone said "make it colorful" and someone did just that without regard to contrast and the level of clutter on each stage. It just underwhelms me with this visual blurb of colorful everything. Maybe if the roadway was dark and plant life a diff shade of green it would be better. Just not the delight visually the game should be IMO.
Do try it though. It is a nice game. I play relaxed and it was alright. Not sure yet if I will buy it. Maybe on a 2 for 1 day.
I recommend this game!

This was a simple time management game which did not allow for casual play, only one time setting, which for me seemed awfully short as slowly as the little workers moved. Graphics were ok, it played well enough, just slow. I stopped and deleted this game after 15 minutes as it does not meet my taste in a game, however it might be fun for younger people. The game was OK. Just not for me.
I recommend this game!

This is my favorite TM series, and I really love it. For once, I bought this without even playing the demo based on the strengths of past releases. I bought 4 thru 8.
But, it very definitely feels like different developers behind the scenes, and it felt like a kid's game versus the previous which never had that cross my mind. The story line feels lame, the scenarios are just ok, and some of the wording tells me the writer did not have English as a first language. This is very similar but not really like the previous four.
Try the demo, it still is fun and really good, just to me it is not the usual for this crew and I will not be auto-buying from them in future, though I do not regret the buy. Just let down a bit.
I recommend this game!

If you like Christmas games and solitaire, this needs to be one of your top picks. Let me tell you why.
Basic game is golf type (One up one down). It has that, the music and the holiday visuals you would expect. Then, it does all that better and improves even more. Visuals are bright and well done, the music was pleasurable for me - I did not turn it off anyway. It has a cute little tale woven in it between chapters of play about missing reindeer and letters so far. It has mini-games (build a snowman, match 3, put candy in a box) which are triggered if a game card drops as you play.
All mild entertainment which does not take away from the game though I did get annoyed how fast the mini-games came and went and was not sure what I even did them for. Maybe I figured it out, though and THAT excited me into writing this review. As you play (or beat mini-games?) on the main menu under mini-games other solitaire games unlock. I have free play, tri peaks and five peaks so far!!!
To get one of the sweetest little Christmas solitaire games for the money was a win for me, but to get MORE solitaire games than golf for free as I play?? Well made, running fine on win 10, and all in holiday motif?
Meet my new fave Christmas card game :). If you like Christmas themes and cards, this is gonna delight you. Try the demo and see :)
I recommend this game!

I do not like Match 3 games, as a rule. This one, I loved. Nothing annoying, no hard to find and solve matches, music that sort of vanished into the background as you played, bonuses that impressed and ended the rounds swiftly, symbols that stood out enough to see easily. I have one other Match 3 I have bought and played over a few times over the years, Holiday Bonus Gold, for the Christmas theme and simplicity perfect for when I am tired and just want to play something easy and undemanding. Medieval Mystery, with its gently Halloween-y theme at times will be joining the games on my computer soon as it goes back on sale.
If it is huge challenge you seek in a Match 3, this is not for you. If it is comfortable matching escape for a while, then try this one out. The end of the demo caught me by surprise and I will be buying :)
I recommend this game!

This is strictly a text based interactive novel where your decisions and responses drive how the plot unfolds. If you enjoy a good read, this is your game. It has a great plot and is a lot of fun.
If you don't like reading or needing to use your imagination as it moves along, it is not. There are few pictures, the imagery flows in your own imagination as you read and respond. If your ability here is limited, it is going to be very dull and slow and will not make you happy.
For those who enjoyed LIFELINE, this is similar, though moves a bit faster. I found it less immersive, perhaps because I did not feel I was there, but was safely away somewhere else simply texting to the team who was at risk. The sequels also got to me more so, because I knew the threat and felt more invested. That is lacking for me here a bit. I can't say why. Maybe it is because this has fewer descriptions and expressions of personal feelings. Even so, Zarya was a good tale. LIFELINE got a 5 off me, this one fully deserves the 4 I gave it. It is nice to see a few text based games turning up again in the industry.
I do not like most HOGs, and I actively dislike most match 3 games, so I do not review those types of games unless something about it really was exceptional. Zarya does not deserve the flood of low ratings it has been given. It is quite good and involved for the style it has been created in. It could have described more and given a bit more for the imagination to work with, however.
I recommend this game!

I wanted to love this game, but found myself logging out of it after a short time playing the demo. I like the idea of it, the sketchy storyline is lame but alright, and the idea of digging for treasures is a nice spin on the usual match 3 concept.
The tutorial was too short, the actual playing area was tiny, with some of the matches the tutorial wanted you to make to learn off the small screen area. Half of the play area is your goals. That should have been play area imo. It needed to be.
When I actually started playing the game after getting through that I was confronted with powerups I didn't know about, which were time limited to retrieve and long gone by the time I sorted that part out. I had a goal to collect a treasure of some sort and no idea what it was I needed to find on the small play area.
I play hundreds of games so do not think it was my set up. With only maybe four or five tiles wide and about as deep vertically, there is limited ability to plan or aim for a needed treasure to collect. Tiles do not drop, you need that space to have the toon able to run and collect things.
This is an effort for something new in match 3 and is almost there. I wanted to like it. I applaud the developers for the effort.
Do try it and see what you think. It is not for me, however. I rated it at 3 because it is OK. Just not for me for the above reasons.
