It is a pretty easy HOG game with puzzles which held my attention. I thoroughly enjoyed it. There are many locations which you can pop to with the traveling map. You get to travel to different parts of the world like an Oriental place, a jungle, etc.
The graphics are quite poor. I liked the game at first, but as I continued there were more unfamiliar objects to find, the labeling of objects became quite vague at times. Throughout the game you are required to place pieces of different objects in a scene. It would be helpful if they were big enough to see. You will also need to find objects based on people's interests in each level, but these items have no name and no shape, so therefore it is no easy task! One man's interest was magical things. What do squiggly marks have to do with magic?? With all of these issues, it became a real headache to play!
How many artists you manage is up to you :-) At first you only have 2 artists and after awhile 2 more will arrive. When YOU decide to upgrade the Residence Hall for 10, 15, and then 25 artists, they will arrive in groups of 2 or 3. I love this because it allows me time to get used to managing the artists. I am happy that they seem motivated to take care of some of their needs.
It's a lovely game! I really enjoy the changing seasons. I love the little touches like having them relax on a picnic blanket or while fishing. They'll happily gaze at ponds, pretty flowers, and someone's artwork which will inspire them to create their own masterpieces.
I love being able to pause the game with the Esc button when other things need my attention. ;-)
I dislike the limit of masterpieces held in the gallery which forces me to sell artwork much cheaper than it's worth.
This was a very enjoyable adventure, hidden object game with a wide variety of fun puzzles and mini games. The puzzles cover a wide range of difficulty, but if you get stuck you can use the hint button for help or skip them. I thoroughly enjoyed this game :-) This game is part of series, but played alone, it works out just fine.
After my hour trial, I had a long list of places that needed items, and I had many items in my inventory that I did not know where to place :o There was lots of backtracking, too. This game is a sleeper for me. The lack of sound during most of the hour did not help create the mood of urgency to help the boy. In fact after he is taken, you are running around doing anything, but go to his aid, hmmm. Not a buy for me.
There's lots to do, just keep your character happy by eating once a day, doing fun things including shopping and relaxing in your furnished home. Don't forget to get to bed early for more time the next day. You can choose to go to college (I highly recommended that you take Intelligence classes there to decrease the amount of lessons for other classes there, at the university and at the gym. Work out at the gym to have a longer day (also highly recommended). You can get a degree at the university, and work at a variety of jobs. You can shop at the mall for clothes for yourself and anyone else, furniture for your living room which increases your happiness when you relax there. You can date, get married and have children. It's hard to make a living at first, so try investing at the Gym and Travel Agency before you purchase very much there and you should see quite a return. Once you get a good job, you'll have the money to do the things you want including buying a house, luxury car and going on vacations. ;-) You can choose to reach as many game goals as you can within 100 days or do your own thing. I just wish there was more detail with the family, carnival rides, etc.
A variety of games can be played in relaxed mode. You can choose traditional Mahjong OR play Adventure Mode and play Mahjong by matching the pieces shown on the bottom of your screen, Spot differences between 2 scenes, make a tangram to match the one given, play Bingo, and Hidden Object Scenes. Unfortunately the hidden objects are pretty small and the background is cluttered. It is quite a long game.
One of the best adventure, hidden object games I have played in a long time! There are 3 difficulty settings, achievements to earn, 60 fairies to find and skipable puzzles. Frequent beautiful scenes and fun mini games made this a wonderful experience :-) I really hated for it to end and want more games like this!!
Engrossing, lengthily story, a variety of mini games and some hidden object scenes made for a really enjoyable game. I had no problem completing the game, but if you need help, you can have lots of hints by doing the bonus rounds which involved quickly matching 2 or 3 of a kind. Hints help you with mini games, but you can also skip them if you like.
