This game is lots of fun and quite good. The story, sounds and pictures all blend together for a great experience. You need to meet every goal for a stage which includes a few hands to play. If you don't have time for that, there is free play. Look for hammers, cannons, etc. hidden behind cards. Event cards randomly show up which may be good or bad. Occasionally you play mini games. After each stage, part of the story is revealed. While it's true power-ups and upgrades are expensive, you earn a pretty good amount each level. I'd like to earn more of course, lol. When you buy a Quartermaster, other things will appear for purchase. You'll upgrade the beach with buildings like a tavern for those thirsty sailors which will give you 5 extra cards in the deck. Enjoy your seven seas adventure :-) I know I am.
I recommend this game!

Fairway ™ Collector's Edition
Spend some time on the Fairway and take on challenging courses! Try to stay under par in this amazing Card game!
You get twice as many courses in Fairway Collector's Edition, but it is not as nearly as funny as the standard edition, Had I noticed it wasn't as funny, I would have bought the standard edition. But I do enjoy the game. It is quite easy to earn enough to buy power-ups. You can earn trophies and if you are a hard core player, try to beat records.
The Chronicles of Emerland is similar to this game, but it has a hidden object scene every few hands. I just finished it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's out there with story, use of items - a cocktail umbrella in a milkshake? I'm not interested in this game at all.
I don't recommend this game.

Move cards with letters on them to spell words. Don't forget to spell words on the left for bonuses. It's a very long game that gets slightly more difficult as you progress, but it isn't a problem for me and I am no spelling genius. I haven't had any problem having my words accepted until recently and I am nearly finished with the game, so I just spell something else. It shows the score for your best word, so it's fun to try to beat your own score. The music is nice and the graphics are clear.
WARNING: If you clean your cookies, history, etc., you will find yourself starting the game over.
I was enchanted by the game at first, but I did not realize some things about the game, so I made the mistake of buying it.
It is sooo boring. Every day I have to play unless I pause the game. Day in and day out, I do the same things which include having them make a meal, clean the house, yard and themselves so they don't get sick, work, pick up collections to make more money and try to make a baby. Even though they both would love to have kids, they absolutely refuse to do so after their first child at the beginning of their life together :-o What's with that?? What happens if their first born dies? There will be no nice house, much less a mansion.
It costs a lot to treat their illnesses which are very contagious, so I always try to have them earn money as quickly as possible. I save about $1,000 coins per person to treat them in case they get sick so they won't die. They need to earn enough money to fix the toxic and bug infested rooms so they don't get sick and die. There's too much focus on sickness and dying. And I would not want my children playing this game because of this either.
It's very annoying and boring to not make them do what you want them to do since so many of the things they do are self-initiated.
There needs to be a lot more to do! They could interact more with each other - adult interactions are limited to making a baby and tickling or reading a story to their children. It'd be nice to have them interact more with each other and do things together. They could make friends to call and do things with and choose a friend to date. They could learn about professions we want them to do and do activities to enter this profession and get promoted. But these things would require money that they don't have.
You start with little and it takes forever to unlock things to the point that it is totally ridiculous! You can't unlock a new sofa till at lest the 3rd generation or later, so you are stuck with a stained hand me down sofa until then. What the heck are they doing picking up socks if we can't unlock a washer and dryer until generations later?? I think we should be able to buy more furniture in the first generation with each generation having nicer things providing they earn enough money.
This game needs a lot more to it!
I don't recommend this game.

The Missing: A Search and Rescue Mystery Collector's Edition
A group of college students have gone missing from a remote island in the Pacific Ocean. You are called in to rescue them, but nothing is as it seems.
This is a wonderful, peaceful exotic adventure that's pretty easy to play and fun. I love all the details that makes this such a delightful game. The activities, mini games, hidden object scenes and story all tie together which is very nice. I hope to find other games similar to this treasure.
This is an easy game with adventure, interactive hidden object scenes and original mini games.
I enjoyed this exotic adventure and just loved the touches they added to the African setting. Much to my surprise, I want to play it again which is quite an accomplishment, lol.
The story was pretty good and complete. It includes voodoo, if that is an issue for you. I didn't expect some of the things that happened in the game, so that was an interesting surprise.
About game play, some people say they get stuck, but you need to think about what you have in your inventory and how these things will work for you. You also need to look in different places to find what you need. Both of these things are pretty common in these types of games. There is a slight pause when you click things but that doesn't really bother me.
The game is of average length for this type of game.
Warning, if you uninstall it from your Big Fish Game Manager, the game will start over.
Welcome to Top Secret Finders. Your first mission is to save a small town, uncover the truth about a government conspiracy and stop the villain in his tracks!
This science-fiction mystery is about 6-7 hrs. long.
The journal adds to the story and keeps track of important information. The hidden object scenes are clear enough and don't repeat. The mini games and puzzles are fun and easy. It has a map and also a go there button when you click the hint button. You only carry a few items in your inventory so you aren't overwhelmed and there wasn't that much backtracking.
There were a few small objects, but since the hint button recharges very quickly, it wasn't a problem.
