I got this game on a daily deal, and I have to say it was well worth it. I'm a fan of both time management and hidden object games, and you get both in this one. It is mostly time management levels, with a hidden object game occasionally thrown in between.
In all of your shops you have a variety of items to sell, as well as a few specialty items depending on what shop you're working in. Muriel uses magic, and once you upgrade she is able to carry up to 5 items and use a spellbook to make her job easier. You get opportunities sporadically to upgrade your shop and unlock recipes and items to sell. You even have the opportunity to unlock real-life recipes that you can use yourself.
Overall I thought the game was very well done. The time management aspect is definitely stronger than the hidden object part- I don't think there was a single hidden object level where I didn't get a time bonus. Still, all the levels were enjoyable to play. While there was certainly a challenge, the levels were not super difficult.
The only problem is there is no way to go back and replay levels to improve on your score or get "expert." Once you play a level, that's it- there's no map that shows the individual levels. On the plus side, the storyline was easily the best I've seen on the time management games I've played. It was interesting and definitely helped the level objectives to make sense. If you like time management games you'll love this one- if you're looking for more of a hidden object game, at least give the demo a try. I really enjoyed it.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game. In this game, you are the chef and your job is to not only get food out to your customers in a timely manner, but also as accurately as possible. When it comes to certain things like pizza and ice cream sundaes, you are given a particular number of ingredients to use and can make up your own recipes. Other items have to be arranged, grilled, fried, etc.
I think the main reason I like this game so much is that unlike many other time-management games, it's not just a matter of pointing and clicking to get something done. You have to complete your dishes accurately, which means arranging the food on the plate a certain way and putting your sauces and dressings in just the right place. Just like in a real restaurant, all the plates you send out are expected to look the same- as in perfect. The money you earn on your dishes is directly related to how accurately your dish was made.
This game for me is a lot of fun. There are easier levels and then levels that are appropriately challenging. You even help determine how hard certain levels are- the harder you make your custom recipes to replicate, the more difficult the level will be that features that recipe. The storyline is adequate to pull the levels of the game together. This is a game that I can play and replay again.
I recommend this game!

I loved this game! This is one that I can play and replay over and over and never get tired of it. You start out with a pretty basic burger shop, and after each level you get a chance to choose an upgrade for your shop. This can mean adding a new drink, a new ingredient for your burgers, or a new menu item entirely. While these choices will make things more challenging for you, other upgrades can do things like earn you extra money or make your machinery work quicker.
I think that the game has a great learning curve to it. Being made to choose something new to add to the shop after each turn makes each level just a little harder than the one before. The levels are not impossible, but they're not easy either. There are still levels I haven't been able to get a perfect score on. While the storyline could probably be better, it's still cute and serves it's purpose.
I really can't recommend this game enough. It's great for those who just want a casual game to kill some time, but it's also a game that you can sit and play for hours. So much fun!
I recommend this game!

When I saw this as the featured game of the day, I went ahead and tried the demo. I'm a big fan of hidden object games, and I've considered getting into scrapbooking, so I figured this game would be a good fit. While I can't say that I disliked the game, it also wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be.
The hidden object part started out okay, but after playing several levels it seemed you were looking for your hidden objects in the same few places every round. For me, it got a little boring after awhile- especially since many times you were looking for the same hidden objects in each round. I felt there was a good mix of easier and harder objects to find. Although I was skeptical about it, the magnifying glass feature is actually very well done and very useful for finding smaller items.
The scrapbook design part was also just okay for me. I wish it allowed you to start your pages from scratch and give you more choices as to the layout of the page and the background. I also found that the controls were off at times- I would click to move one thing and it would move something else.
Although it's impossible to lose this game, you can choose whether you want to time yourself or play in "relaxed mode." There is no real storyline- you're helping to find hidden objects so that you can help complete scrapbooks. If you're just a lover of any hidden object games- even repetitive ones- and have a creative side, you may really like this game. If you're not into the scrapbooking part and like a little more variety, try a different game or at least try the demo first.
I don't recommend this game.

This is the first supermarket simulator I've played and I really enjoyed it! You have five different stores to unlock, and in each store you have to stock the shelves, cashier, clean messes, and catch shoplifters along with some other occasional tasks. More difficulties are added to each level as you go, but you are able to buy upgrades that help to make your job easier.
Although the actions are somewhat repetitive, I still had fun with this game. There are a lot of levels- 20 per store- and it kept me occupied for quite some time. I found the levels to be super easy to beat, and still pretty easy to get a rating of "excellent" on. The storyline is practically nonexistent- you get one screen at the beginning saying that you're a college student that needs to earn money, and then you're thrown into your first store. That's it.
There are a few bugs, but nothing that keeps you from finishing the game. Characters sometimes have a tendency to get stuck, but restarting the level fixed this in almost all instances. Overall this is a really cute game and is great for anyone looking to kill some time.
I recommend this game!

When I originally read the description of this game, I thought I would get to design a mall layout, choose stores to put in, and decide what merchandise I would sell. This game is not nearly that detailed. That said, I did have fun with the game. It's a lot like Build-a-lot. In this game, instead of building a neighborhood with homes, you're filling a mall with stores.
You start out with a mall front, and basically choose what stores you want to put in each slot, and then you're able to upgrade those shops. You get rent money from each store you add, and you can spend that money on more workers, building resources, and other stores and upgrades.
I like Build-a-lot and this game, but it's not for everyone. Unlike Build-a-lot, there is no time limit to the level, so it's impossible to lose; however, it does have an expert goal that you can meet to earn medals and trophies. When you build up enough points you are also able to buy things from your stores to put in your character's office.
If you liked Build-a-lot, you will probably like this game. If you're not sure, try the demo. I thought it was fun, but I don't believe I will be buying the game simply because of it's length- I was able to get through half the game with just the demo, and I'm not sure how often I'll replay it.
I recommend this game!
