It really surprised me that Timeless The Lost Castle was not released as a collector's edition game. Aside from the fact that there is no walkthrough available, this game far surpasses many of the games that come out as CEs.
There were many things to like about this game but what stood out most for me were the excellent puzzles. My goodness, most of them were challenging and that made this a stellar game. I love being able to really think and work at solutions and not just push this or that. The developers of this game were very creative in giving us some of the best puzzles I have seen in games.
The graphics were excellent as was the storyline. The HO scenes were a mix of list and silhouette types with some interaction required. For me, it was the right mix with not too many HO scenes. IMO this was a very long game that held my interest until the end. I wanted to see how the story developed and always looked forward to the next great puzzle that was sure to be right around the corner.
I am not too familiar with this developer, only played the first Timeless, which I enjoyed but this second game truly surpasses the first. Given the quality of the game, I will look forward to future games from this developer.
We are taken back in time to the village of Graysand to solve a mysterious death from thirteen years ago. When the detective arrives in town, you find another mystery waiting to be solved.
In this game we have the excellent, quality graphics that are always provided by this developer. I must say that I restarted the game three times just to hear the organ grinder sing the Edgar Allen Poe poem. Awesome!
The game itself is the fairly standard type HOPA game that I love but what makes it outstanding IMHO are the graphics, voices, gameplay, puzzles and storyline.
If you want a good mystery to solve, then this is the game for you. Because I love the work of this developer, I purchased the game right away and I am not disappointed.
Maybe you too, will love this game and enjoy solving the mystery of the masked organ grinder.
Here we have a sequel to the first Otherworld game and I have to say it is awesome. So often a sequel seems to pale in comparison to the original game but that is not the case here.
The developer makes use of an intense color palette which make this game a visual feast. The storyline continues Fiona's battle with "The Shade" with your help of course!
The HO scenes are well done as are the puzzles. At this point, I am not sure why there is a warning of adult material on the game but nothing seems objectionable to me. It might however be a bit scary for younger players.
If you like games that have a good storyline, voice-overs, wonderful graphics, and great puzzles along with innovative HO scenes, then this game is for you.
Playing Otherworld is a wonderful way to spend quality gaming time. Enjoy!
Eerie music fills the air in Vienna, where shadows terrorize people in the streets. Two musical prodigies have gone missing. Can you save them without striking a single false note?
This is the third game in the Maestro series and IMHO it is one of the best sequels to come along recently.
Why did I give this game 5 stars? Well, for me it has it all. Great artwork graphics (that I know we always get from this developer), voice-overs, IHOS, interesting puzzles and good storyline. I don't think I could ask for anything more in a game. One of the things that I noticed right at the beginning of the game is that the voice-overs actually match the lip movement of the speaker. So many times voices are added to a game but they don't make sense when watching the speaker but not with this developer who is right on target.
Another thing that I think makes this game worthy of the CE price is a new addition to the extras. This time we get a 2013 calendar and we can select the pictures. How cool is that?
All in all, I highly recommend this game. If you haven't already tried the other games in the series, I suggest that you check them out because the Maestro games are wonderful and guarantee hours of fun and excitement. This one, IMHO is even better than the others if that is possible.

I guess it's a matter of personal taste, but I am finding this to be a very enjoyable game. Many of the puzzles are different than those we've come to expect, and I like different.
Dark Canvas has excellent quality graphics that are crystal clear. With this game we have voice-overs that are very realistic and not at all grating or hard to take, which can happen with some games.
IMHO, this game IS CE worthy based on the quality of the puzzles and the IHOS. For me, it is not one of those too easy games where what to do next is so predictable that a game is boring. This game offers some challenges and more often than not, we have to be very innovative to complete a task.
All in all, I am very pleased with the game and recommend that you give it a try. Maybe you will agree that it is a very nice game.

I really think this is the best of the Dark Tales games to date. This developer does an awesome job with entertaining us and providing us with some of the best games available.
IMHO, no other developer does animals quite as well and the wonderful "Newfie" won my heart very early on.
In this game we have many IHO (interactive hidden object) scenes, some are the standard look for objects but many are the silhouette type. We have been given some great puzzles as well. I really like that some mahjong and matching type puzzles have been included in the mix. Some of the puzzles are not as easy as they look. I like that even a few of the IHOS have mini puzzles included that must be solved before moving on.
All in all, we have been given a very entertaining game with very nice graphics and excellent voice-overs. IMHO this developer designs very realistic characters who move well and don't seem choppy, which IMHO add to the quality of the game.
Thanks ERS and BFG for a very nice game that I highly recommend.

The "Stone Queen" is a new Grim Tales that does not seem to be continuation of the previous three games in the series.
As is the case with this developer, the graphics are high-quality and the voice overs are excellent. Everything in this games is top-notch.
Since I knew this would be a quality game, I purchased it outright without trying the demo and it does not disappoint. The storyline is very interesting and I can't wait to solve the mystery of "the Stone Queen".
Although the game doesn't have achievements or morphing objects, the story, graphics, IHOS, mini puzzles, and interactive map make this a game worthy of the CE designation.
Thanks to BFG for starting the new year with this high-quality CE. Kudos to the developer who I am sure will provide us with many more excellent games in 2013.
When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…

This game builds on the story of the first Nightmare Realm but IMHO is even better than the first.
The graphics are very clear and excellent. Here we have it all, a great story, interesting puzzles and challenging interactive hidden object scenes. What more could one ask for in a game? Not much, because here the developer has given us pretty much a complete package for hours of fun.
I would suggest that this game is not for children and parents should decide whether their child is mature enough to handle the storyline. For me, I love it!
The developers did a great job on bringing back Emily and her mother. Kudos on this wonderful game!

I loved the first two Spirits of Mystery games and have been waiting for another one. The Dark Minotaur does not disappoint and is a beautiful as the first two.
Who can resist a crusade to return kidnapped pets to a princess? One of the things that ERS does so well is their animal characters and the ones in this story are excellent.
As is usual with this developer, the graphics are incredible and everything from the music to the voice-overs add to the overall enjoyment of the game. As a child I loved mythology and the story of the Minotaur, so it is wonderful to see this creature back in a game that I can play.
It has already been mentioned but the puzzles are very easy, something I often appreciate because when puzzles are too difficult I get frustrated and end up skipping, That is not the case with this game since I find the puzzles fun and just right for me.
A very wonderful game and definitely worth the CE designation.

This game has lots of puzzles for those of you who enjoy them. I am having so much fun with the puzzles that I look forward to the next one as the game progresses. In fact, I restarted the game just to play some of the puzzles a second time.
The graphics are very colorful and well done, which is something I love in a game. The voice-overs are excellent. The developer has put so much into this game I am surprised that it wasn't released as a CE.
All in all, a very nice game that I will enjoy playing many times.
