The HOS are pretty good, but after every one is a puzzle, match game, or some other kind of tedious, time consuming challenge that I usually skip. They throw of the rhythm of the HOS and are not necessary. Those little challenges are supposed to be a reward, not torture, for a job well done in the HOS. Some of them are just not even doable.
I recommend this game!
Midnight Castle is yours - but it holds so many secrets and such mysterious inhabitants! Uncover them all in Midnight Castle!

the game is great fun! When I first got this game I hated it, but I kept trying it and now I'm hooked. The levels each open a couple of new HO scenes and, the various other games within each level are really good. I'm only up to level 15, so I'm still in the Castle Vicinity, but this game has the potential to go on for a very long time as you move on to other locations. As far as I can see there are more than 60 levels, each more difficult than the ones before it. A definite "yes" to recommending this one!

I was really enjoying this game, until I got to the underground tunnel. Too many graphics for my little laptop. The game literally ground to a stop. Tried more than several times to get it started again, but it's not only not working, it's causing my computer to crash. I have had to shut down, without closing any of my other programs just to get rid of the game. Uninstalled it three times and reinstalled, but today I got rid of it completely. Lost the money and a lot of wasted time, but good riddance to Alex Hunter!
I don't recommend this game.
