This game seems to have a dulling film over it. No sharp focus, especially in the HOGs. Makes it difficult to enjoy. Without that the game would be very good.
I recommend this game!

If you are over the age of 16 this game is not for you. Are young people today really speaking a language I can't understand? I got this game without a free trial because none was available, and it was a second pick with a purchase, so I can only blame myself. This was just plain awful, even without the teenage slant. The navigation was nonexistent for the 10 minutes I played, and the SKIP button was just as nonexistent when I tried to get out of a particularly boring puzzle. What a sad use of Nancy Drew's name. The young lady in this game is not the Nancy Drew I knew!
I don't recommend this game.

The only positive thing I can say about this game is that it downloaded quickly. I hope it uninstalls even quicker. I played for 32 minutes, have no real idea of what the story line is, hated the music, and was not out of the second scene and didn't care. Don't waste your money.
I don't recommend this game.

Since this was offered without a free trial I decided to take a chance and buy it, because it sounded unique and fun. Sorry to say I don't like the game. I do give it an A for uniqueness, but a C+ for everything else. The visual is very good, so 5 stars, but there's no option to control the volume, so this game blares at you the whole time you're playing. Sorry, not for me.
I don't recommend this game.

I love this one, especially for the HO's. They are unique and somewhat challenging, which says a lot compared to some of the other Hidden Object games I've played lately. The puzzles never grab my attention, but the ones in this game are pretty good. The graphics and sound are very good as well. The story line is OK, but if the game is good, like this one is, I'm so involved in playing that the story line is not important to me. Get it!
I recommend this game!

Just not my cup of tea. the storyline is pretty silly and the challenge is not much better, though the graphics are good. I played for about 10 minutes and couldn't stand going any further, even for free. Take advantage of the free trial before buying this one.

The graphics were a little childish and the sound was not that good. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if there was a map, just so I could move along. At times I felt bored and a bit trapped in a scene, until I could work my way out, but not in the exciting way some games provide. I started getting bored, and really felt the game itself pushed me along with the glittering lights telling me my next move. No challenge. The HO's were pretty standard, and the puzzles were easy, but rather boring. I'll pass on buying it.
I don't recommend this game.

Beside the fact that the 1 hour free trial only lasted for 46 minutes, I was enjoying this one, though it was, at times, very formula. The HO's were very good, and the puzzles were OK. I wasn't able to really get into the story. A haunted orphanage just doesn't tickle my funny bone. I must say the graphics and real people, instead of cartoons for the back story, were very nicely done. However, from what I saw this game was not worth $14. I would recommend that you try the 46 minute trial for yourself, to make that decision.
I really liked this game for a lot of reasons. First, as a history buff, this one was right up my alley. While the storyline is a little weak, and predictable, the little historical tidbits more than makeup for that. The graphics, the music, the voice overs, and the endless number of rooms (thanks for the map!), make this game a pleasure to play. I love the Hidden Object levels, which are not the same old, same old. If not for the 2 or 3 levels for each HO, they would be too short and not much of a challenge. The only negative I have to say about this game are the puzzles. Some are just OK, but most are not even doable. Me or lack of good instructions? I'm not sure, but I skipped quite a few in frustration. But all in all this game was very enjoyable.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed it until it started becoming repetitive. The same old, same old, and a storyline that was a little too sappy for my taste.
