I thought this game was okay, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I had thought. If you're a fan of series I encourage you to play the demo and see if it's for you. The graphics were good, the voiceovers and music as well. I am a fan of horror games, but the big eyed dolls seemed a little odd to me and didn't seem to fit in. I guess the visual style just wasn't to my liking--but it's a matter of personal taste. I found the mini-games to be frustrating and difficult. Your mileage will vary--if you think you'll like it give it a go, the CE is worth it for the bonus chapter otherwise the storyline has a rather abrupt ending.
This storyline was a little convoluted, but overall good. It's not as gruesome a game as some other titles in the series. The artwork is very good as well as the sound and the music. I admit I've been spoiled by other games with more characters to interact with. Here we return to what essentially is a haunted, but unpopulated world. All in all I liked the game and if you're looking for something not gory or excessively disturbing this title is a good one for you.
I enjoyed this game more than the first Enigmatis game. Great story, stunning artwork, voiceovers, music, and animations; though I would have preferred the detective in these was a gender neutral character since I'm a man and don't like playing female characters--but it's no big deal. I can't recommend this game enough for supernatural horror game fans without excessive gore or violence. I can't wait for the next installment in the sage.
I have played all the MCFs games from the beginning of the series and watched it go through several studios and evolve. Return to Ravenhurst was definitely a milestone game in transforming HOGs to a more interactive, cinematic experience. . The artwork and animation quality in this game is unquestionably good. As well as the music--though we've heard much of it before. I liked the fact that some of the mini-games weren't too hard so I was less tempted to hit the skip button. The story line seems all too familiar to me though. My recommendation is to play the demo and decide for yourself. The bonus chapter is short and I didn't feel added much to the story--so if you can live without a short prequel you might want to hold out for the standard edition. I'm tired of maniacs using people in their plots to perpetuate their immortality--I hope the next game in the series comes up with something fresher and more original.

I liked the artwork and graphics of this game and playing with familiar characters. The storyline was good, but a little hard to follow. Beware of bugs however, I recommend trying before buying to make sure it works well with your computer. I hope that although this is now an older title that Big Fish patches this game; I had to start over one time because there is a glitch if you don't pick up an item in a certain sequence it's impossible to advance.
I was very surprised by this game, it had some very novel things in it including playing multiple characters and not being stuck in one role for the entire game. The graphics, music, and storyline were excellent. Though I would question the peculiar American Accent of the hunter in one scene when we were obviously playing in some somewhat medieval European place--I really have nothing to complain about. Good love story. Buy this one if you like ERS type horror/mystery games.
I recommend this game!

Haunted Legends: The Iron Mask Collector's Edition
Explore 17th-century France as you track down a masked killer.
The Man in the Iron Mask was one of my favorite of the Musketeer series. This game is very different from it's predecessors, but frankly I'm getting tired of the dwarf. The storyline differs significantly from the classic tale, but that's okay. The game is long and definitely gives you more bang for your buck. The artwork and animations are top notch and better than some other recent additions to other series. Though frankly in future additions to the series I wouldn't mind if we could get rid of Saint Germain for good and move on to something else. The game really has something for everyone, action, romance and a mystery--what's not to like?
A good twist on the Frankenstein story and excellent chapter in the Gray Family saga. Stunning artwork, good music, animations, and voice overs. Richard becomes more handsome and endearing in each new chapter. I'd love to play more games in this series. Whereas some other series seem to decline in quality over time, Grim Tales never ceases to please. I loved it.
Welcome once again to the steampunk, anachronististic worlds of ERS Games. I have played all the Poe games and this one is one of my least favorites. I don't like the increased level of violence and fighting particularly. I really don't enjoy the fight sequences. I agree with one reviewer that who said that Dupin looks a bit worse for wear in this particular chapter. I loathed the scarab mazes. I wish there were some way to go back and hunt for missing collector's items--I only missed one of those and they were fairly obvious so I don't know where I went wrong. The artwork and voice overs were well done. I wish that future chapters in the Poe series would give the player the ability to design and/or choose an avatar like the Grim Façade series has been doing. The music was very familiar. I wish the wallpapers would have featured more of the characters. Once thing I will say as these game progress we are inhabiting a more interactive and living world with more interactions with characters directly--instead of the empty, abandoned towns and scenes from older games--these worlds are more invasive and dynamic. I liked the rough men and the arm wrestling, the female characters were lovely too. I am very glad they have gotten away from using live actors in these games.
Altogether if you liked the other games in the series you'd like this one. I wish we had the ability to see the alternate endings without having to replay the game; particularly as I don't always know what ending would be most satisfying it would be interesting to see what would have happened if I'd chosen the other one.
Sometimes I miss the simplicity of the older games though--the Black Cat remains my favorite game of this entire series and it was an early one.

If you're tired of grim, gory hidden object games, this is nice holiday break. Better than average for a seasonal game, it has a cute story the whole family can enjoy. The artwork is good as well and it's not too cute for the adult player. If you're looking for a fun Christmas game I recommend it. Long with lots of material for the money. My only con is that I'm not overly fond of match three style gameplay and you need to play that sort of game in order to progress, other games may give you the option of a match 3 or hidden object scene instead.
